I thought that these would make a good pair of surrond sound speakers as no wiring would be required. However, the transmitter kept automaticallly turning off even when the sound was on. Even when they were on, there was quite a bit of background noise.

I was looking for a simple, yet quality, set of speakers to go with our PC-based DVD system. The wireless nature of these speakers was a real selling point for me as I didnt want to have to worry about running wires and I wanted to be able to easily reposition the speakers. The only down side Ive found in my use of these speakers is that when I put them in a new location I sometimes have to play with the direction they are pointing to get an optimal signal. I am considering purchasing more of these to use on my home office computer.
