Just received these speakers a few days ago... I was impressed. I popped in the Gladiator DVD and tested the speakers. Awesome sound. Very clear dialogue from the center channel and clean sound reproduction from the main and surround speakers. The speakers give just enough bass so that you dont completely lose the low frequencies (it will sound REALLY weird if you dont hear any bass.... I tried that with some full range speakers that delivered absolutely NO bass) when the subwoofer is turned off. The mounting kit is a convenient addition to this package (but its not the best mounting kit around). Quality sound for a very low price. I think it deserves a 5-star.

I purchased the VS 3.5 speakers with the SW 2 subwoofer.The 2-way surrounds sound good with accurate reproduction for the size, though I replaced the fronts with 2-way bookshelf speakers for a fuller sound. This is a nice system for the price particularly for a small room. They are well-constructed and even have gold-plated binding posts which accept banana plugs. The price is a bargain even if you just use for the 2 surrounds and the center. The SW 2 subwoofer is quite good to round out this system.
