Its only out of fashion. Its unfashionable because consumers arent aware of great products like these. I bought this combo player/recorder about two years ago, and Ive never been more pleased. Check out the features: Records MiniDiscs at 4x speed Plays CDs and displays CDs with CD-text Records CD tracks instantaneously by one touch of a button. Playback pitch control Input pitch control Text editing Track divide Multiple inputs and outputs, including optical Granted, this wont convince the avid computer-based CD-RW user. But, I use my computers CD recorder, and I still prefer this device. Record a MiniDisc with tracks in a particular order; listen; then go back to the MD and rearrange the tracks, updating the Table of Contents in less than 15 seconds. Nothing is faster or more manageable. The only questionable characteristic is compatibility, but thats for you to decide. On: 2003-05-20
