There work great for what I use them for. The sound is good and the bass is just enough without being obnoxious. I use them to provide sound to my second family room which is about 16x20. I have them wall mounted near the ceiling above a closet.

I received the exact same from Ebay for $20.00 a pair. They work GREAT!! I have them in all bedrooms, kitchen, and for the surround sound in the living room. I play the music loud though out the house and the speakers produce a better sound than my previous Sony Surround Sound.

I got these for rear speakers over the stadium seating in the basement home theater, but you still want a little base out of them, so you have to box in a cavity with 2x4s in order to get enough lower frequency response. Mids and highs are fine, the cutting template was spot on, and the installation was a breeze. Also consider their rectangular speakers - a bit more punch, if you have the space.

The 5 1/4" ceiling speakers came well packed with adequate wire and hardware. I had them installed, hooked up and playing in no time and they sound fine for the price. A good value for the money.

These were better than expected. Really excellent sound. We used them in the ceiling in the master as remote speakers for our sound system.

Read some good reviews at Amazon.. Bought 2 pairs and tested them on my home amplifier. Plugged my Ipod in and played some music. I couldnt believe what Im hearing for the price I paid for.. Comparable to mid-to-high end speakers. Good sounding highs and mid-bass for ceiling mount. Tweeters worked so well that you can hear every detail of the music. If you wanna go rap to house music.. just add a self-powered subwoofer! I would highly recommend this product!

Good is the operative word here. Not excellent, not fabulous, but plain old good. Thats not a bad thing.
I purchased 2 pairs and installed the first pair in the rear of the ceiling in my Home Theater. This install was done on a drop ceiling with acoustic ceiling tile...I had no major problems and although getting the grills back on with speaker mounted in a ceiling tile was a bit challenging, it got done...if you install in a wall or a fixed ceiling, it would be much easiler.
These are some good looking units and the tweeter does have some degree of positioning if needed. The feel of the build is very nice, it feels like a quality product.
Sound wise, they are good for what the do...in my system, the 6th and 7th channel is what I use them for, so they dont get worked out unless I run music in all channels equaly...in that case, they sound good.
You are not getting the sound of dedicated speakers in a cabinet. But, for the money, they are a great value and sound is good.
The pair I have left will be installed in a wall for sound in my Game Room...Ill probably add a small inexpensive subwoofer as well and I have no doubt that the sound quality will be good. Better, in fact, than many more expensive setups. Go for it....Uncle Willie

I havent listened to these yet, and Im sure the sound quality is great. However, trying to get the grilles to fit on the speakers after installing them in the ceiling has just been the most frustrating job of my entire kitchen rehab.

For the money you are paying, these speakers are excellent. If you dont want to spend hundreds on high-end and need speakers for general listening, this is your best bet.

I installed 5 of these in the ceiling of a small family room as the primary speakers for my "secondary" home theatre. Along with a fairly cheap subwoofer, they are certainly more than acceptable -- and much better than I expected considering the price. If youre looking for cheap surround speakers or even a full set, and youre not an audiophile, I doubt youll be disappointed. My only issue is with the directional tweeter that is basically a "bubble" in the center of the grill...the JBLs I have in my main system look much nicer as the grills are completely flat, without this "bump." Overall, though, highly recommended for home theatre on a budget.

I bought 4 of them for my store show room two months ago, because I was out-bidded several times on fleabay over some refurbished JBL speakers. I bought them based on what I saw from the reviews. Thanks guys. They sound awsome and people thought I paid hundreds for them, even the installer was impressed. This is one of my most satisfied purchases for years. This is certainly NOT because I lower my expectation due to the low price, they are just great, the base is amazing too, I didnt think a tiny 5" speaker can rock. This is a strong buy, I cant find anything wrong with them after 2 months of daily usage.

I purchased these speakers to use them as surround speakers due to space constraints. They didnt match the front speakers quite well. So, I plan to use them as an additional set of stereo speakers in another room or garage.

Using them as surround speakers in a 5.1 system. They sounds great!!! Nice highs, good mids and suprisingly nice lows.
I have not compared these against other speakers so I cant tell you if another brand blows them away.
For thirty bucks who would have thought! I would recommend these for any type of music or movies in your house. Even cranked they sound great.

Like the others, I read the reviews and was a little skeptical but for my basement I figured how could I go wrong. I installed them in the sheetrock ceiling of my basement. They are connected to a Harman Kardon AVR-635 via the Harman Kardon AB1 remote volume control.
I used Music Choice via Comcast as my source and it sounded great. The bass is a little lacking but what do you expect for 5 1/4" speakers? If you turn it down a tad they will sound excellent. Great sound for the price! I played a variety of music (classical, hip-hop, rap, country, oldies, etc.) and they all sounded great except hip-hop and rap. They sounded pretty good but sometimes distorted a tad until I turned the bass down a notch or 2.
Would I buy them again? In an instant!

I reluctantly bought these for an installation in a private practice for background music. My client wanted inexpensive. So I bought 4 sets of these and 4 IC7S speakers by Audiosource. Well I installed them this week, hooked to Dayton volume controls (from Amazon) and a speaker selector switch (Sima SSW-6 from Amazon). I connected it to a JVC basic stereo amp and Polk XM tuner. Well...IT ROCKED! I was very impressed with how these speakers performed. Even though they are only 5.25" they had enough low end and handle higher volume quite well. These are not speakers for audiophiles, but will likely satisfy a majority of music fans. These also work well as surround speakers. Get the bigger ones for main speakers.

Was a bit skeptical on the quality considering the low cost, but these were going in the basement so I thought Id take a chance. I cant believe the sound quality (great bass) and power! I am now ordering a few more pairs for other spots around the house. Very easy to install if you have wire run and can handle cutting a round hole in your wall.

I was a bit concerned about purchasing these speakers since I wasnt familiar with brand, but after hooking them up... I couldnt be more impressed. Ive heard high dollar speakers and granted these arent $1,000 speakers, but for the money they cant be beat. I would highly recommend these for anyone who is looking for some really good quality sound from discreetly hidden speakers.
