Apex Digital Should Be Sued     On: 2005-03-17

Apex Digital products often fail within the first year. They have horrible customer service, false advertising, and fail to honor their warranties. Please check www.labbb.gov (Better Business Bureau) and search for Apex Digital to see the F rating the better business bureau has given them. Saving 10-15 dollars is not worth the hassle they cause.

Don't Buy!!!     On: 2005-01-09

I just want to warn you about this companies equipment. They dont stand behind it at all. So far I have owned 2 of their prodects and neither one has lasted 1 year. Unfortunately, their warentee is for 90 days. This DVD playerworked fine for 9 months and then stopped working. This company does not stand behind their products and their customer service...well I guess they call it that...is useless. Trust me...dont buy anything from them. Save your money!!!
Pretty good.     On: 2003-10-29

This was a pretty good DVD player for its time, and has served me well over the past two years. Only two or three of my 300 DVDs will not play on it. It also plays VCDs and SVCDs well.

The small size of the unit is another plus.

But it doesnt seem to play burned DVD-R, so Im going to have to replace it.

Great DVD player

Before buying this DVD player, I had another one installed in my van. It skipped, locked, and did not play half of my DVDs. Since I had this one installed, I have not had any problems. I read the other reviews, and I can understand the problems with the poor customer service. I would not base my purchase decision based on one bad unit. Mine works great, and I have never had the need to call customer service. On my old DVD player, made by a different company, their customer service told me everything from it is a bad DVD, to they didnt manufacture it, and would not support it.

This is the DVD player to get. If the one you get does not work, just return it to where you bought it, dont bother with the customer service.

Talk about pitiful service...     On: 2002-12-22

I have heard nothing good about this type
model, and since Apex refuses to stand behind their
product, I refuse to waste my money on it.
Great unit

I bought this one to replace an Audiovox DVD player that my dealer installed in my new minivan. The old Audiovox skipped, and locked on almost every DVD I tried. I have not had any problems with this unit, and it is well worth the $xxx.xx I paid for it. The buttons on the remote are a little small, but that was easily solved by using a universal remote.
thanks for other comments

Apex Support is Bad!     On: 2002-09-17

I purchased this item and 2 months later all the buttons on the front panel of the MD-100 stopped operating. I called Apex and they said to send them the remote. I repeated that it was the buttons on the ACTUAL unit that was not operating, and I was told "Just send us the remote!". I sent the remote. I waited 5 weeks for it to return and when I received it the unit still did not operate. I called Apex and now they said that something is wrong with the unit. They gave me an RA # and said to include a check for $39.00 made payable to Apex Digital. I asked what the $39.00 was for and they said, "Labor. Your unit is out of its 90 day warranty!" I reminded them that it was indeed in warranty when I initially called about the problem. I was told there was nothing they could do to waive the $39.00." Rather than send the unit for repairs, I purchased a new unit from another manufacturer.
