Excellent speakers!     On: 2006-04-18

I bought a set of these speakers for my home this christmas. They provide excellent sound quality and impressive looks for a cheap price (I picked mine up for $80 a pair at a local store). Dont let a salesman con you into buying an overpriced set of comparable speakers (there was a set going for $600 that sounded horrible). These speakers will out perform any surround sound set up you could ever buy at Best Buy or Radio Shack. I use a 200 watt amp with mine. Star Wars sounds incredible!
My speaker rocks the party     On: 2005-08-03

very well balanced sound...i hear depth to music that i have never before noticed. these speakers are incredibly loud; my 500 watt amp turned half up is almost deafening. with the binding posts on the back i can even run power from my Cavin DCM600 and use these speakers as my bass guitar setup. one of the best investments i have ever made.
A GOOD BUY

This speaker is the best not only giving you a crisp sound but bone rattling bass too. I would reccomend this product to anybody who is looking for something to shake the room and give u good quality sounds while doing so...
Impressed isnt enough. i mean WOW     On: 2003-05-13

I recently bought 2 jp1500 speakers and they outperform almost any speaker out there. if you are thinking about getting them they have great lows (they can hit hard) that have an unbeatable high. these are the ones for you. jensen also makes a box with 2 15s but its only been found in germany. GO CREEK
Excellent sound - excellent value!     On: 2003-02-09

I was recently upgrading my stereo system to include great home theater sound with Dolby Digital and DTS, as well as good-sounding loudspeakers for normal music. I originally shopped around local stores...but I was discouraged by the prices of speakers, which werent really big or powerful, and although they had great theater sound effect, they didnt give the hard-hitting bass I wanted. In fact, when I turned the volume up too much, they really didnt sound that well. So, I dicided to look online to see what kind of speakers I could get for a limited amount of money, and I found these. (I wanted 15" woofers, and high-wattage capabilities.) I was skeptical when I saw how cheap they were-especially since those speakers I saw elsewhere were upwards of a $.... a pair. So, I got brave and bought them, and they just blew me away. Ive cranked my 120-watt receiver up as loud as it would go, and these speakers have no problems handling it. You really feel the bass pound with no distortion, and the mid-range and tweeters sound terrific! When cranked up loud, I feel like Im being knocked over by the bass. By the way, these speakers work very well for home theater, and you dont even need to buy an over-priced subwoofer either. I have a 200-watt subwoofer, but these speakers pour out even more bass than the subwoofer; plus, its the hard-hitting, tight bass that subwoofers cant deliver. Definetely a must have, whether you listen to music quietly, or at ultra-loud volumes!
Also, I will write this because there arent that many details given about these speakers. The dimensions of the cabinets are 32.5" X 18.5" X 11.75" H.W.D. The frequency rating is 30Hz-25kHz with 8-Ohm resistance. Im not 100% sure of the crossover frequencies, but I believe its around 600-700Hz for the woofer, and 3-4kHz for the tweeters. It has what looks to be banana plug jacks.
Great Semi-Pro Cabinet     On: 2003-01-21

For home, awesome. For semi-pro audio, very good. Keep these in mind: no 1/4" jack (just high quality push-type binding posts), and not set up for direct parallel connection, but can be done with high quality speaker cable. I use as secondary speakers in a live band. These are a best value, bar none. Just keep in mind the limitations to connecting. You wont be disappointed.
Good sound for little money

I got these speakers about a month and a half ago. I really like their bass reflex. The sound comes out clean every time. I use these for DJing all over college. They get the job done and fit very well into my budget. They have given me everything I needed and show no sign of failing me any time soon. If you need [low-priced] speakers for any reason, home or public, these are the speakers for you.
Best deal for your money hands down!     On: 2002-12-06

I have tried a number of comparable speakers and these are by far the best deal for your money. You will not find a better speaker for under three-hundredanywhere. The subwoofers pump out more bass than Ive ever seen on a home speaker system. The bass is clear and tight like it should be. You dont hear the music, so much as you feel it. The dual tweeters produce good highs and do a good job keeping up with the subs as you increase the volume. Most larger speakers sound terrible at low volumes but these do not distort when underpowered. The 94 decible sensitivity is also a bonus, as i power these off of a normal 100 watt per channel reciever yet they still produce crystal clear tones at thunderous volumes. The construction is very sturdy and looks like it could withstand a tornado. The only beef I have with these speakers is that the metal grille keeps flyin off of the sub every time i pump it up really loud, but then again they look more badass with exposed subs anyways.

Working with these...the 5oo watt is a rating compatability. In other words, rated to 5oo watts. No amplifier included.
An important question     On: 2002-11-25

Will someone please tell me if this product comes with a 500 watt amp or will I have to buy that seperately? Any response will be appreciated.
