If you have a good sound system, an appropriately sized house or apartment, and can either overlook the annoying on/off pop or afford the slight uptick in your electric bill from leaving it on all the time, its a great subwoofer.

Other reviewers are correct - the auto shutoff pop is *really*
annoying. I actually returned mine for service to see about getting it fixed. I got a different speaker back, with a longer
auto shutoff time. Another problem with this subwoofer is that it is for movies, not tight accurate bass as a substitute for good speakers. I guess for that you should move up to the Newton series.

Great sub (when you consider the price, its an AWESOME sub). Only complaint is the loud POP it makes in the AUTO setting when shutting down the amp. I just leave it in the ON position, but the power savings would be nice.

This sub offers unbelievable low-frequency extension and dynamic impact. For the price, Id challenge you to find a better woofer.
