I have three to supply surround channel in my home setup.
As a primary amp it lacks in depth, having fried one when used to substitute for a McIntosh MC 2600 into Infinity Kappa 9s. At low volumes there was little difference with the big Mac, but when Pirates of the carribbean got rolling... pfft. As surrond channel, I bought the second and third because of the first.
These run hot, so ensure lots of air room On: 2007-02-15
I am using this amp in a biamp setup to drive only the lower frequencies, so I have not examined its performance as a "stand alone" unit. It appears to be nearly noisless and gives a very clean and punchy low end, which is what I was looking for. Bargain price for such a fine amp.
