Great sound...especially for this price     On: 2008-03-16

I set this up in our family room and love the sound! And the price was excellent. I believe the price on Amazon was one of the lowest around for this system.
Amazing Speakers     On: 2008-01-23

Bought these to go with a Sony 7.1 receiver (Had to order an extra pair set of satellites to fill it up). The satellites are small, but sound GREAT. Subwoofers loud, but not overpowering & the center channel is crystal clear. I bought them a couple months ago for $200 from Amazon after looking at a bunch of other models. So far, theyve far exceeded my expectations.
Don't want to be a hater, but...     On: 2007-12-05

Bought these on the opinion of others, and what seemed like a really good deal. Heard the comments about good bang for the buck, perfect for the basement/den, etc. etc. Was looking for a relatively inexpensive starter home theatre system.

Teamed it with a 200 dollar yamaha, 5.1 receiver, nothing to expensive, but felt like it would get the job done. Open it, set it up, turned it on and a certain amount of disasppointment set in. Wasnt really getting the lower mid range like I enjoy. Subwoofer gets it done, and system picks up the highs, and mid highs really well. But it had an almost hollow metallic sound to it. Adjusted what I could on the receiver, but was never really totally satisfied.

So now Ive turned to plan b, I am now in the process of replacing the front 2 satelite speakers with floor speakers, jbl 6 inch, 3 way. This has improved the overall sound very well. Possibly near future will replace the center channel and rear surrounds, possibly polks or sony, 4 or five inch. Im guessing this would give me the balance and clarity that I am looking for. Seems like I have ended up going the long way to get the sound I wanted.

Just felt like I was missing to much of the mid, lower mid sound. Didnt seem real balanced, and the treble almosted seemed piercing at times, even after adjustments on the receiver. Hope you find these comments helpful.
Great for 3 weeks....     On: 2007-09-11

This speaker set was definitely and upgrade over the 5.1 Onkyo speakers I had , but that lasted for only 3 weeks. That is when my subwoofer stopped working. Because I bought these online the only choice I had was to take it to the Infinity certified repair shop and have it fixed. It has been there for 3 weeks and I am still waiting to get it back.
Great Bang for the Buck!     On: 2007-08-25

Fantastic system. Very happy with the rich atmosphere these speakers create. The sub is excellent, hitting all but the very, very low notes. What a joy to watch movies, now!
Exactly what I needed     On: 2007-08-09

I finally traded my giant 1980s speakers for the TSS 450s. Totally different experience. Movies and music sound great. The only reason I did not give it five stars is the sound is a bit weak at lower volume, which with two kids is where my system stays. What I really liked is the fact that these speakers came with wire and wall mounting brackets so unlike so many other electronics items this speaker set is ready to go out of the box.
Pushed With the Right System     On: 2007-08-08

I use this system with the HK-AVR 240 which is a 7.1 Surround Sound system, a Panasonic TH-58PX60U Plasma TV, SONY DVP-NC615 DVD player and Motorola DCT 3412 I Dual Tuner DVR/HDTV capable Dolby Digital box from Comcast. Let me tell you, with good components and configured correctly for your equipment, these speakers "rock." The installation company that mounted my 58" plasma above my fireplace, did the connection of the TV to my HK-AVR as well as my Comcast box, ran tests to confirm connections were correct as I had originally set it up with my previous SONY 36" flat screen. The one guy on the installation team could not believe the sound coming out of these speakers. Right now I only have this system and I plan to purchase 2 more satellites to complete the 7.1 configuration. For the price, you cannot go wrong. Awsome !!!     On: 2007-05-04

I plugged this Speaker System into a Yamaha HTR-5930SL Receiver. Couldnt be more happy. The speakers sounds great and looks very good in my entertainment room. They came with wall mounting brackets and decent cables (altough you can use better cables). The satellite speakers are small, heavy and good looking... a great combination. Ive got to buy more movies to keep enjoying this great sound !.
Good system     On: 2007-01-22

I surprised my husband with this speaker set. He really likes it for our small family room. It is clear and sounds great! He said the subwoofer is worth what I paid for the whole system.
Perfect for smaller rooms     On: 2006-11-08

I bought this system for my living room in a 2 bedroom condo. I paired it with an Onkyo TX-SR604.

The speakers sound very natural, and sub/satellite responses are well matched and almost seamless. The satellites have a very crisp, well rounded sound and acutally have a decent amount of mid to upper midrange, which wasnt what I expected from such small speakers. They have more treble than youll know what to do with, so dont bother boosting the high eq. The center channel speaker can sometimes sound a tiny bit honky in the upper mids. But for their size and price, they are pretty accurate.

It is not a giant booming sub, which wasnt what I wanted anyway, I dont need any annoyed neighbors. The response is very musical when the level is set at 35-50%. If you want booming explosions, you can crank the thing, but that isnt really where the unit shines.

The sound with movies is very, very pleasing. The experience of watching a movie is completely different. The sound that comes from the speakers is immersive, transparent, and accurate, which allows you to experience the visuals in a whole new way. You may as well be in the room with the actors.

Stereo sound through the speakers was equally pleasing. There is a lack of high bass to low mids, which is to be expected with a system like this, but overall the sonic character is excellent.

Music to my ears     On: 2006-08-15

I bought these from FRYS hence paid a bit more - but beleive me its worth every cent and now at less than $250, its a steal. I have paired the Infinity speaker system with the ONKYO TX-SR603X receiver and together they produce incredible sound. And is great for CDs too, i use the "unplugged" setting on the receiver to get clear, crisp sound for music. Get this pair and treat your ears to sound!
Great Bass, Great Package     On: 2003-11-01

I paired the TSS 450 with the new Harman/Kardon AVR230 (Which I highly reccommend, even though Amazon is not offering it yet). They provide great (and plentiful) wiring, which is atypical of $400 speakers. They come with adjustable mounting brackets, another plus that most other systems dont have. They are tiny surrounds (think soup can, though wider) and sound very crisp. Ive only had them a little while, but they sound perfect listening to Lords of the Rings or playing PS2! The center channel is powerful and super-clear. This is my first surround system, so im shocked at how much better I can here voices during movies! The other thing I like is the Center has two-midranges and is positioned horizontally, which makes it fit much better on top of my WEGA :-)
