After careful review(s) of Consumer Reports, CNET and several other sites; I elected to buy the Infinitys. Dollar for dollar its a great choice if your on a budget. Great for a smaller room, big sound, discrete
speakers that blend in.

I replaced a 10 year old Optimus 5.1 setup with this system yesterday and what a difference! The subwoofer alone was worth what I paid. I ordered fron Vanns (just in time apparently as they are out of these now) for $200 and got free shipping to boot. The clarity of these little speakers is excellent. I put in Star Wars Episode 3 on DVD and the spatial character of this system was impressive! For an 8" sub, this really does a great job in my 12 X 18 living room. I am using existing speaker stands for the satellites and had wiring in place, but appreciate the fact that wall mounts and speaker wire were included. Grab these while you can. Infinity did their homework here and it shows!

Was looking for a surround-sound speaker set for under $200 and this fit the bill. The build quality seems very good, I really like the fact that the set comes with wall mounts for the four surround speakers. If you need wall mounts, that saves you at least $50 right there! I also like that the center channel is really designed for center channel and is not simply another surround speaker. It is designed to sit horizontally and has an adjustable foot to level it as needed. The subwoofer is extremely powerful, I had to adjust every subwoofer setting on my amp to the lowest setting to keep it from rattling the walls and windows at moderate volume levels. If anything I could have used a less-powerful sub!
The shipping by Vanns was free and the set arrived quickly, but the box was very damaged when it arrived. I think this was the fault of UPS and not Vanns, but fortunately none of the components were damaged.

This is a great sound system! Consumer Reports "best buy"! You cant go wrong at this price.

The sound from this speaker system is impressive. It delivers clean powerful bass, full midrange, and clear highs. I usually lean towards larger systems, but I decided to buy this as a gift for my parents and was blown away. Starting to wonder if I should have given them my system and kept this one for myself.

I did alot of research before purchasing my system and Im happy to say it paid off. These speakers deliver a very good sound and for a very good price relative to other comparable systems. I certainly recommend them to anyone on a budget who wants quality and expandability. You can purchase two more satellites to convert to 7.1.

I bought this speaker system recently and am using it with a YAMAHA V2700 reciever. It is a 7.1 channel reciever but I am using only 5 speakers and it works just great. Very reasonable for the price. The speakers looks very small, but they give very good sound. We love them.

We bought these speakers because of the great reviews we read here, and on Consumer Reports. These speakers measured up! They look good, and sound even better. What a great product for a fair price. Would recommend to a friend.

I needed to downsize my surround system to accomadate a new couch and fireplace. We had Polk towers in the front with Bose 301s in the back, a subwoofer (off brand) and center channel. While this setup didnt sound too bad it was nothing like this Infinity system. The sound is much cleaner and very clear, no distortion at any level. I like the idea of hiding the speakers and getting great sound.

I bought it by the advice of other reviewers without hearing the system and I agree. Its a great speaker system, especially for $200.00. Its a good looking system, the speakers are small with great sound and the sub has a great kick. I bought it from Vanns, shipped in days from the west coast to the east coast for free. what a deal.

These speakers are incredible. I did a lot of research and saw their rating was very high on Consumer Reports. Sometimes those ratings can be a little "off", but I also some great ratings from individuals who had purchased them. I decided to make the purchase and Im glad I did. Each of the satelite speakers are a little over 5 inches high, and they look GOOD! Paired with the crystal clear center channel and the "plenty powerful" sub, the sound is amazing coming from my Onky SR-604. Movies rock and CD sound fills my family room (15x20). I doubt you can do better for twice the price.

The bass box is good. The little speakers are to small too produce a good mid range sound. The wall brackets were easy to mount and the speakers look good.

I am using these for center and surrounds in a 7.1 setup with a pair of tower speakers for the front L & R channels. I have the surrounds mounted near the ceiling with 90 watts RMS feeding them. This setup provides good surround sound in my 20x13 living room. I also have a 12" passive sub hooked up on the main 2 channels. This makes CDs sound great in 2CH mode. If you need a sub, center, and 4 satalites, this is a great deal.
