Solid Speakers for the Money     On: 2008-08-13

I was not familiar with this brand but purchased them and mated them to
a Pioneer receiver. The sound is great & installation was easy.
They are quality made.
Quick, Easy, Great Sound     On: 2008-07-12

These speakers are fantastic, especially for the $$. They are extremely easy to install, whether you are installing in new construction or existing walls, the simply pop right in. Spring-loaded clamp-style pins make attaching the speaker cable quick and easy, and also provide the best possible connection. The sound that these speakers produce is well balanced, not too much high or low, and the speaker heads swivel (a couple degrees in each direction) so that they can be pointed to the focus of the room. All-in-all a worthwhile investment.
Good bargain     On: 2008-05-24

I recently bought and installed these speakers for my in home surround sound. The on-wall cans we left behind in our old house sounded great and I wanted something equally as good. I cant say they match their sound, but I can say Im pleased with the sound of these speakers. There is no distortion and they dont sound "tinny". Instalation was easy as far as the speakers went. Running the wires through the attic and wall was a different story, so if youre not handy you may want someone to install these. Overall, a good value for the money.
Phoenix Gold ATi6 speakers     On: 2008-04-24

I recently purchased a home which already had in wall speakers. I was a prologic surround sound fanatic. I was used to the clear crisp sounds when I would watch movies. I had 4 ways speakers including 15 inch woofers, so the sound had to be there. After listening to these speakers they were what we used to call mickey mouse speakers meaning they were very bad speakers. I was undecided of what brand since there were so many to choose from. The house I moved to already had an ok sounding bass woofer but my highs and midrange sounded muffled. I saw the watts that it handled and decided too try it. I was actually amazed at the nice highs and midrange theses speakers produced. As a matter of fact this recent purchase was for my rear speakers since I purchased the front once several months before. I am sure you would like these Phoenix Gold ATi6 speakers. What also blew me away the price was very affordable. I really am a satisfied customer.
Cheap good sound     On: 2008-03-28

Cheap speakers on price but plently of sound for movie theatre, have 7 of them.
Outstanding value and great sound     On: 2008-02-25

I am no stranger to in-wall speakers. I have been using them since 1992. While in-walls have some sonic disadvantages the aesthetics are usually worth the trade off. Theses speakers have some nice features that I had not seen in prior purchases. The speaker binding posts are very nice. The tilt/swivel tweeter helps imaging. The install was easy. I have since purchased a few of the single speaker summed mono Phoenix Gold in-wall for bathroom installations. With the low price, easy installation, and great sound I can easily recommend these to anyone considering in-walls.

I was hesitant to purchase these speakers but after reading the reviews I decided to give them a try. Do not waste your money on the other more expensive brands of speakers including Bose and Polk. I have listened to every high-priced speaker on the market for two-years trying to make-up my mind on the best sounding speakers, including at the local Bose factory store. These speakers are in my opinion better sounding than the Bose speakers on display at the Bose factory store. If you are into wasting your hard earned money for a name plate on the speaker grill then then over-priced "high-end" speakers are for you.

These speakers cost $49.95 delivered to the front door... you do the math.
Sounds Great, Easy install     On: 2008-01-21

I was nervous when I purchased these for $40 from Amazon, thinking they would be poor quality, but I was pleasantly surprised. They have good sound, and installed very easy. The instructions were good, and they had a handy cardboard cut-out jig for marking the walls. They produce very little bass, but that is completely understandable, considering its a 6" speaker in a "sealed enclosure". They were easy to paint too.
Decent     On: 2007-12-20

Easy to install. These are just fine for the dining room. I bought them to replace expensive Phase Tech speakers and just didnt want to spend that kind of money for background music. These are just fine for that purpose. Good enough. Save the money for the rooms where you want the special sound.
Helping people live the highlife; a tasty speaker at a tasty price!     On: 2007-03-28

The Phoenix Gold ATi6 in-wall speakers are an outstanding value at Amazons price. The quality of materials and construction are far above what I expected at this price point. The sound quality is appropriate for this type of speaker, and is clearly a step up from other speakers in the sub $100 arena. I drive them with an Adcom 545II, and power handling is on the upper end of what I expected from a single 6.5 inch driver. Installation could not have been simpler, and the beefy push terminals were a pleasant surprise.
perfect compromise for surround sound     On: 2006-03-16

Yes, these are not audiophile grade speakers. However, I can drink $2 Chuck and Insignia (Phelps) and appreciate them for what they are. These speakers installed easily and are clean and attractive on my walls. The pointable tweeter is a nice touch as I can aim them toward my ears on my couch. Most of the sound coming from them when watching movies/tv is appropriate for the quality of the speakers. I no longer have to wonder where the wires will run or the speaker stands will go for my surround speakers, its all in the wall. Buy em, you wont regret it.
