Love, Love, Love!!!!     On: 2008-04-29

I just got these the other day after searching for a case for my IPOD. I got a leather case, and hated it. These are so cute, and functional. I have the pink one for my IPOD, then I use one for my cell, and another for my camera, etc. I love these socks ....

I can just throw my IPOD in my bag now, without worry. Also, if you are worried about the IPOD falling out, when I put it in my bag, I use another sock over the open end .... and you are safe!

I highly recommend them ....

My son has some little socks that hes already outgrown- they make great covers for my 3rd Gen iPod Nano- cheap, and cute, too!

Socks is good     On: 2007-05-22

I bought 2 pairs from an iPod Socks owner. I got a blue and a green one.
I thought buying all 6 socks was too much. But having all 6 would not be bad.

I am using the green one for my 80G iPod video. I think I picked the right color because Apple announced to an environment friendly company.

My wife is using the blue one for her Sony digital camera.

iPod socks is the size of iPod Nano. Nano fits in without streching the sock. iPod Video fits in well too. It looks like a snake is eating a rabbit.

Most of all, sock protects iPod from scratching.

I always make my left pocket of my pants empty. And I keep my iPod wearing sock in my pocket all the time.

I bought my iPod as an portable media player. I carry it all the time. I listen music and podcasting. And I also watch movies and podcasting. iPod Socks fulfill my needs.

However, I dont use my iPod when I exercise at the gym. Personally, iPod video on the arm does not attract me. I rather wear iPod Shuffle or Nano.
If you are looking for a case for workout, this is definitely not the one.

Personally, I like to see iPod without any case.
I do not like to cover the beautiful looking iPod all the time.
For this reason, I like my iPod Socks.

Protected, Disposable, Low Cost     On: 2007-05-12

This fabric case is better than those plastic cases:
1. Soft: Asorb minor shock. Plastic hard cases transfer impact shock with the same impact magnitude. Plastic soft case aborb somewhat shock.
2. Moisture absorbing: Abord moisture and water splashing (if you are at wash basin doing face or hand washing). Plastic cases trap moisture & wetness that cause Ipod corrosive.
3. Easy to remove: To dry, to clean dirt, to look at Ipod original natural sometime.
4. Easy customize for more convenient per your own preference, such as sewing velcro to make lock or anything you like to specialize.
5. Heat cooling ability: Ipod case is made of aluminum meaning for better heat transfer beside its look. This fabric case is kind of loose to allow air circulation. Plastic case is totally enclosed (surface of case against tightly to surface of Ipod and insulated) that defeat the heat cool purpose.
6. Disposable: If your brainstorm to customize is good but the work is messed up then throw it away for another new one.
7. Low cost: Not what advertise in this Amazon. Buy the equivalent at Walmart, Samsonite brand, pack of 6 (equivalent material, size & color as displayed in Amazon) for $4.87 or less than $1 each.

iPod soc- cute but useful     On: 2007-03-11

I brought this product at the suggestion of a co-worker. While it is very cute and you could accessorize it with everything, I found that you could actually use it with other gadgets than just the iPods themselves.

I use it for my Sprint (slimfit phone), and a Treo Palm etc... The downside is there is no way to keep it from sliding out or changing programs on any product. It does wear and it will fade. Needless to say, I am happy that I brought it and if you are looking for a cute way to "snazzy up" your phones or iPods this is the way to go.

Good for basic protection.     On: 2006-03-15

The iSocks are great for basic protection, but you should still handle your iPod with care. I had keys in my pocket and without thinking put my iPod in the same pocket (with the iSock on). When I took out my iPod, I had a lovely 1 inch scratch on the screen. Im now waiting to get my iDrops, so hopefully those will fix it.

Other than that, the iSocks will add some *more* style to your iPod. Expect to get some minor scratches when using them though.

Fashionist Product     On: 2006-03-04

This is for fashion/like people , only for apple fans .
It is a great product, dont get me wrong ,it fit perfect to my iPod Photo (and will fit to any iPod),
but for sure you could find a diferent better option out there to protect your iPod .

.Exelent Quality! Buy this if you are apple products lover (like Me)
Cute appearance, poor quality...     On: 2006-02-17

For the price, I would have expected a little bit better quality of a product from Apple. The first sock that I used for my iPod promptly got a hole in it, from very little (and GENTLE) use. I guess thats why they sell them in 6-packs...so you can just toss one out and use the next one...but for almost $5 apiece, they are not a good value.
it sucks

i bought these for my nano and all it really does is scratch it. i gave it a 2 cuz it keeps it from laying around and getting even more scratched but i guess it wouldnt really make a difference
Fashionable, relaible, and fun!
by: Anonymous    On: 2005-07-29

The ipod socks are a definite must have. When I received mine in the mail from Amazon I loved them so much! They come in 6 fun colors (orange, green, blue, pink, purple, and grey), so you can corodinate them with what your wearing.
Besides being fashionable, they protect your ipod from horrible scratches and dents.
They fit all ipod models, but they fit some better than others. The 60gb, 40gb, 20gb are all big ipod models and the sock doesnt cover the whole model. The mini ipod are perfect though for the socks because they cover the whole way. Sorry, ipod shuffle are too small for these socks...
I highly reccomend the socks, even though the price is a bit high, they are totally worth every penny!
nice product     On: 2005-07-18

i suppose that i can buy three pairs of color socks for 5.99 and wind up with 6 home made ipod socks. but, come on, they are not the real deal apple product. if not for the apple name brand, then why not just get a knock off mp3 player and save a bundle?

i bought the apple socks with the specific intention to protect my ipod from daily handling. i have another hard shell case for other out door activities. so far so good, not to mention the good vibe that i got from girls who saw my ipod socks.
Better than many cases     On: 2005-07-03

When I first saw the iPod Socks introduced I thought it was a silly but interesting idea for a case. I wasnt planning on buying them and didnt give it a second thought. When I saw one of my friends iPod with an iPod Sock and actually played with them I realized that theyre really cool. Its one of those things where you have to see to believe. Ive had mine for a few days now and love them. Nice part is on all the iPods you can easily use the buttons (except the scroll wheel), even the 3G iPods, though it takes a little bit more effort witht that model.
OK
by: Anonymous    On: 2005-06-07

Hmmmm...there is not too much to write about this item. It really is just 6 socks, just as it says on the package. Theres no extra padding or anything, and you have to take the iPod out of the sock in order to use the clickwheel in order to use it. This is really annoying and is a direct risk of you scratching your iPod. I liked how it fit over my moms mini and my 20 GB, and I also appreciated the great variety of clors (although I do admit, they appear to be more feminime than masculine). Obviously, it beeing light compared to its bulkier counterparts is a major advantage, but this lightness causes one of the socks major faults- complete and udder lack of protection. With this case my iPod took a regular beating. So, trading in lightness for protection, I bought an iSee. It is wonderful and ten times better. Plus, it costs almost half as much, at the dirt cheap price of $16. Cute, but overpriced and little protection. If you want a sock so bad, why dont you just get one from your drawer and slip it over your iPod?
Cute!
by: Anonymous    On: 2005-05-01

These socks are nothing extraordinary, Ill admit, but I only had them for one day and I got at least 5 compliments on them. They are so cute and I love them. The only bad thing is u have to slip the ipod in and out to actually listen to it which can add to scratches on the back. But if u take good care of ur iPod like I do it wont be a problem. And for those who say "its just a sock! i expected more," um hello?? what did u think when you heard the title "iPod SOCKS"
Six good reasons to buy iPod socks     On: 2005-03-22

These iPod socks are an excellent choice for the following reasons:

1. They dont add too much bulk to the iPod.
2. They protect the device from scratches and some dust.
3. Theyre stylish, colorful and made of quality materials.
4. They fit all iPod models.
5. Easy to put on, easy to take off.
6. Girls love them and ask about them.
fun and practical     On: 2005-01-27

I have a ipod mini, and i really needed something to hold it when it is my pocket. As soon as I saw the socks, I was sold. Not only do they protect your ipod while it is in your pocket or sitting around, it comes in six cool colors! A great buy for 6 at $29.

A great a better alternative to thick leather cases and rubber skin.
Simple, but cool and functional     On: 2005-01-24

When I first saw the Apple iPod socks advertise on Apple.com during the Fall of 2004, I knew I had to have them. "Wow. Six colors, a non-bulky way to protect my iPod, and did I mention cool?"

In fact, I thought the iPod socks would become intoxicatingly popular, and I expected sellouts and the likes. Unfortunately for Apple, although they have a following, the iPod socks do not seem to be on the top of every iPod owners buying list. However, I love my iPod socks. I slide my click wheel iPod into the sock of my choice, and I can rest knowing that whether it is sitting on my desk, in my pocket, in the car, or on the table, that it wont get scratched or banged around. Furthermore, the many colors give me a choice to fit my mood. I also slide my ear buds and iTrip into a sock, and it keeps those items tidied up. The socks are incredibly soft, and they are just the right thickness. They are thick enough to provide some protection, but they add very little thickness to the iPod, which is nice. I dont like the big bulky cases.

Overall, Im happy I paid $30 for my iPod socks. For me, it is the coolest accessory out there, and it is an official Apple product!
Gets the job done     On: 2005-01-24

If youre looking for protection, but wanting to avoid those massive iPod sleaves, then the socks are for you!

They do a great job of shielding the iPod from most other pocket junk, and keep it unscathed

My one criticism would be the socks length, which often seems to leave the iPod too exposed at the top --- however, for the price, Im pretty happy
ipod socks semi-practical and cute.     On: 2005-01-22

OK, its designed for people who have money to burn but they do keep your ipod protected from scratches and nicks when you have it in your pocket...to carry a "naked" ipod in your coat pocket while you stroll around is stupid because anything could get to it or get inside the charging cavity.

They are fun and I use mine all the time. (...)
iPod Cozies
by: yensid98    On: 2005-01-20

I think it was maybe a bad idea for Apple to call these socks. Maybe cozies would have been a better choice? Anyway these little things are a lot of fun and practical for certain iPod users. Which ones? Well, if youre the type of person who starts your iPod playing then tosses it in a bag or pocket, then the iPod Socks are the perfect thing to get. They will keep your iPod free of scratches and dings, yet add the smallest fraction to your iPods dimensions. Remember these things are tiny. They measure only 2 inches across and 4.5 inches long. When your iPod is in one it is very snug yet easy to take out.

Another great use for the iPod Socks is storage. After turning the iPod off and setting it to hold, quickly pull the sock on and toss the newly sheathed iPod in a drawer, purse, locker, wherever and have no fear of scratches or dings. I keep one sock on my desk, one in the car, one in my backpack and another on my bedside table. Wherever I take my iPod there is a sock to put it in when Im done listening.

And dont forget that its very easy to skip songs, pause and turn the iPod off while it is still in the sock. The fabric is snug enough that you can use these controls right through the sock!

One more thing, I hear people saying the iPod Socks are expensive, but I think they forget youre not getting 1 sock but 6 of them in a box. Think of that for a second. Six iPod cases for 30 bucks. Sounds like a steal to me.
Not bad in comparison to other cases     On: 2004-12-29

Okay, so its an overpriced set of socks with colors you may or may not actually like. However, consider the problems with the current crop of cases:

1) The iPod gets much, MUCH bulkier with just about any case or sleeve. Least the socks fabric gives way and can be removed easily.
2) Silicone/rubber "skins" tend to cling to fabrics, which means you cant slip a skinned iPod into your coat without a fight. Not to mention you cant use the Dock.
3) Leather looks horribly ugly on any electronic device. Nuff said.

Finally, one should keep in mind that the truly overpriced item here is the iPod itself. If you shelled out $250-$600 for one, then why question a $30 accessory?
Forgive me 4 my ignorance.....     On: 2004-12-26

I first saw them i thought maybe (atleast!0 they had a cutout for the screen or SOMETHING for 29.00 that was not simply slipping a sock onto a iPod. Unfortunately, I was unpleasantly surprised. Its a god-frosaken sock! for 29.00? Gimme a Break! Got get a needle, a piece of fabric, and sew it yourself! And if your not quite THAT creative, go buy a colored sock!
Aesthetic Appeal Only     On: 2004-12-26

I received the iPod socks free with a $30 off coupon from Apple, and I immediately fell in love with them. Theyre not as thick as I had hoped, but they are still thicker than the average pair of people socks. I have found that the socks also work quite well for cell phones. If you want to protect your iPod from being banged around, this is not the case for you. If youre looking for something to keep your iPod scratch free inside your purse, gym bag, or coat pocket you have got to get the socks!
Don't own, but come on, they are socks!     On: 2004-11-29

Socks for iPods? It is a great idea! Keeps them warm and cozy and scratch free!

iPod socks... it is like your iPod is skin, and the socks are socks
