I bought this as a present for my boyfriend, and of rcourse, I couldnt help playing with it myself.
For its value, the camera has excellent quality and a simple and very nice setup. Use the disk (if you need to, my windows XP picked it up without it) to install, plug the USB cable in it, and poof, the camera puts the images on the computer. The LCD screen does a great job, though the flash can be a bit too bright and this camera doesnt do too great in really dark settings (I dont know what does) it does great still footage and small clips of video. Its a wonderful size and the box comes with so much stuff its unbelieveable. The Tripod is excellent for self-portraits, theres a little carrying case and a wrist strap which makes it great for travel.
The camera by default takes the pictures in HUGE sizes, so make sure to adjust that or else the mem card fills up very quickly (or just get a bigger mem card)
The camera can do different toning colors (B&W, Sepia, Yellow-brown, and a slight blue-ish). It makes a great toy for artistic pictures, as well as portraits and other events. It has a bit of trouble with motion, but not enough to worry about.
I highly recommend this for cash-strapped people or the technologically inept. It even has fun little effects for those who are savvy with cameras.
