I have these out on my deck in Chicago, with no real protection over them - just a tree over one. They seem to have no problem with water, and seem heavy and well made. They sound pretty good, too - theyre not as efficient (it takes some oopmh from the amp to get them up to volume), but its not a big deal since I dont run them simultaneously with my main speakers. Id definitely recommend them.
