Great product, sounds great in our yard. Came with everything needed. Shipped promptly, recieved within a week on standard shipping. On: 2008-06-30
I guess the title says it all - its a fine set of speakers for around $40 each, but they are small, underwhelming and sound like plastic outdoor speakers, which they are. If you need anything close to hi-fi sound outside, go with another set. If you just want some music and dont care about the sound quality, they are fine. On: 2008-06-23
These speakers sound great, I only wish they looked more like rocks, theres another set that does look more like rocks, but they dont sound as good, I would buy these again On: 2008-06-06
I have had my speakers for about three weeks now. I bought 4 of them and spread them around the yard and I love them. I looked at other stores for the same type of product and would have paid 3 to 4 times more than what I was able to get these four. They have all the performance that I would ever need in an outdoor type speaker. I would recomend these to any one. On: 2008-05-27
The speakers are great...easy installation and they sound fantastic. We are very pleased with the quality at such a great price. On: 2008-05-27
awesome sound for a small to medium space. you cant beat the price and hook up is so simple. i love my speakers. On: 2008-05-26
Wow - These speakers far exceeded my expectations and actually put out decent sound. Because they sit on the ground you can turn them up louder without having to worry about irritating the neighbors.
To install I simply drilled a 3/8" hole through the living room wall and ran speaker wire to the outside patio through a plastic coaxial guide. I then crimped the speaker wire from the house to the speaker wire of the rock speakers.
I couldnt be happier. Now I can listen to my turntable while outside on the patio :-) On: 2008-05-14
For under $60.00 I was a little bit leery ,after all you get what you pay for .
I took less than 5 minutes to install there is plenty of wire attached to each speaker ( one meter each ) .All you need is 4 wire nuts and some electrical tape .
Oh by they way that isnt bad either .
I am already thinking of buying another set to have surround sound in my yard. On: 2008-04-14
We bought these little "rock" speakers to replace a pair of aging regular tower type speakers and were expecting quite a reduction in sound quality. Our old speakers had ten inch woofers with one inch dome tweeters and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality sound we obtained with these small waterproof, garden units. On: 2007-07-23
Not bad...look good and work great! They are a great addition to the patio. You will need underground wire nuts. I think that this should have been included. Other than that they are great. On: 2007-07-12
I already own two of these speakers that I purchased at a home improvement store. I wanted an additional pair but they no longer sold them, so I looked for them at Amazon. They arrived within a few days after ordering them, and they were much less expensive than what I had paid for my original pair. Now my entire patio has evenly distributed music. These speakers are placed in the surrounding garden areas, and very easily blend in with bushes, plants, and real rocks. Great product for the price.HiFi Works 30020 HFW 6.5-Inch Rock Speakers (Pair) On: 2007-07-05
I am actually returning this product today. In order to keep them I would have to purchase a new receiver due to the speaker wires not having any caps/plugs on them. The short wires are bare and not useable unless you have a certain type of receiver.
Un-happy w/ the instructions, not informative enough. We would not have purchased if we knew they had bare wires. On: 2007-07-04
I ordered the outdoor speakers for my husband for his birthday and are very happy with the sound they put out and also with the look of them. We put them in my rock garden and they blend right in nicely. They were well worth the money. On: 2007-06-27
Great item!
Placed them by the pool...and they sound great!
I want to order more!!! On: 2007-06-26

I bought these for our little front garden/porch area - and they look very good nestled within the shrubs. They have a very full sound and can be turned up quite loud with little or no audible distortion - They dont have the thin tinny sound that many inexpensive speakers have - and the bass is pretty strong. I was actually surprised at how good they sounded. So were my neighbors. (They have ordered a pair) The only thing I dont like is the connection - which is a piece of cable with + and - leads coming out off the bottom of the speaker. Youll need to buy some wire nuts that can be buried for a good connection - I bought some at Lowes. (if you plan on burying your cable to hide it.) Other than that - they work well. by: psnourbash On: 2007-05-18
As with most back yards I am not looking for the high fidelity sterio outside. I just wanted good quality sound, better than what I could get out of a portable radio. The speakers more than exceeded my expectations. I actually only set up one speaker and put the second in the garage. I will probably save it as a spare, or bring it out only for parties. I only wish that the speaker cable was about 6 -9 feet longer. I do not like the idea of splicing two cables together and having the connection lay in the wet dirt.

These are just fine for what your going to pay for them. To get it a much better speaker your going to have to open up your wallet and pay a whole lot more. These are not high tech indoor sound systems. They are just outdoor patio speakers and they sound just fine for what they are meant for. The reviewer who couldnt hook them up hasnt ever hooked up speakers before because these were incredibly simple. On: 2007-04-27

They fit the landscaping well. However, there were no basic installation directions with them. I did not know how to connect them to a stereo/audio component. I had to get help from someone to connect them. This manufacturer needs to take this in consideration and include basic instructions. On: 2006-11-03

These speakers sound amazing and there offered at an incredible price. The sound is clear and clean and they can handle a lot of volume. The bass could be better but you definitely will not be disappointed either. They seem well built and able to with stand the elements. Ive only had them little over a month but havent incurred any problems with the severe thunderstorms weve had.
