Impatiently waiting..............     On: 2008-01-26

I recently bought a new 7.1 surround sound amplifier to match my speakers.
I only one have one pair of Carver TS-441S satellite speakers. I will write a full review after my entire speaker system is complete. There is no substitute for quality.
A Star product     On: 2007-03-30

I am using these new tower speakers for my sterio audio only and am very satisfied with the sound. I find the imaging and crispness to my liking and have just enough bass without the extra middle speaker. These were a happy choice of speakers for my use.
nice speakers, bad purchase     On: 2007-03-14

I liked the speakers but they dont come with the bases, out of eight years of online buying with Amazon, this is the first time I have been disapointed with my purchase, why would anyone buy speakers this tall and not want the bases to stand them on? so for that reason alone I will give this product 1 star, considering how many unsatisfied customers there are I feel Amazon should pull this product from the site, very disapointed.
A Darn Good Speaker From Phoenix Gold     On: 2007-03-10

but not from Bob Carver. Phoenix Gold is a long respected name in electronics who evidently bought the Carver name. I bought two 451s on eBay paired with a 241 Carver center speaker and added these to an older JBL sub and 2 rear small JBLs (rear speakers arent that critical in 5.1) driven by a JVC-RX-D205 digital amp receiver and the sound far exceeds my expectations. Others have been critical that the bases were not included but to get the most out of these speakers they need to be on stands or mounted on the wall next to your TV screen. The standard bases do not elevate these speakers a bit and are not worth the $30 each that Phoenix Gold charges. I built my own stands which raise the speakers 3 feet off the floor so they are at ear level for my bedroom application. The sound is quite dramatic and on DTS surround Im near nirvana. I purchased the center channel first and liked it so much that I sprung for the two mains.
not as advertised!!!     On: 2007-03-09

Do not refer to the picture of this product. There are no floor stands, only wall mounts.
And the phone rep promised to resend with proper stands......not!!
Also promised to inspect box Before shipment.....not!!!
Both arrived poorly packaged and beat up.
Stay away. The product doesn't even come with the mounting stand     On: 2007-03-08

I am a novice audiophile but I can tell these speakers leave a lot to be desired. My $40 radio shack speakers blow this thing away. The only difference between the Center channel and the towers is the mounting system and the orientation of the label on the grill. These are definitely not rated at RMS rating that they say that they are. I have mine hooked up to an onkyo 120 watt RMS reciever and they begin to pop and distort at about 1/3 volume. The Center and towers look pretty, but they dont perform like they should. If you want a better deal people are selling them on ebay for around 50 bucks, but I cant even say they are worth that. These didnt even come with the base that is shown in the picture. If you could get these for less than $20 then I would say go for it. If you paid over $100 Im sorry for your loss.
No Base for Carver TS-441S     On: 2007-03-08

Item does not come with floor mounting bases as shown - Amazon failed to address this when I received a replacement from them. I am now stuck with a unit that can only be wall mounted - but they also failed to include wall mounting screws!
Great Sound...bases not included     On: 2007-02-08

Got these speakers on super sale from Amazon and well worth the price. Crisp clear powerful sounding speakers and the speakers themselves look great. High quality materials and Im sure the wall mounts work great but they do NOT include the circular bases as pictured. These things are pretty tall and top heavy and definitely wobbly on a stand.

So if youre going to mount them its a great deal otherwise look elsewhere
