Simple, easy to operate tough, perfect for trips, kids and the price is right. By the way it takes CRV3 batery which will last for hundreds of pictures! On: 2008-03-17
I loved this camera for the length of the warranty. The day it expired, so did the camera. Id put the batteries in and it would turn on, then immediately shut off. Kodak suggested I buy their brand of batteries. I did, and it still didnt work. Useless. On: 2008-02-26
This camera is a good basic camera for beginners. It was a gift for one of my grandchildren. Great little camera but hard on batteries. As usual the Amazon supplier service was excellant!! On: 2008-02-18
Good price, easy to use, nice and compact, good for the everyday photographer who wants good photos of family, pets and family events. Makes it easy to load your pictures on the EasyShare web-site to share with family and friends. Only 4 MP, but our photos are very clear and good quality. On: 2008-02-04
This is a nice camera if you are just getting into the whole digital camera game. It wont do everything you want, but it is an inexpensive way to get started to see if you wish to continue in the digital point and shoot game. Yes, I agree, it does go throught batteries fairly quick, but if you buy yourself some rechargeable batteries, so what. This does very good for everyday and vacation photos.
This is not necessarily for someone who has been taking digi-photos for a while, but for someone who wants a decent camera at a decent price. It may not be the best camera out there, but it is a long way from the worst. On: 2008-01-27
I bought this to take to Germany and it did pretty good. I wouldnt get this one if you are wanting to do action photos though. The only other weakness is the zoom but for the price you cant beat it. On: 2007-09-02
This camera is fine, picture wise. But it eats batteries WAY too fast. We constantly have to change them, and it wont work w/ rechargeable ones. Plus you have to wait forever to take two pictures in a row, its very annoying, especially when youre trying to catch something fast. I will not buy Kodak again. On: 2007-08-06
I got this from J&R Music world for like $80. Ive taken some fabulous photos with this thing. This is actually my second. My first met an untimely demise when I dropped it on a tile floor, but it was affordable enough to replace right away. My one complaint is that it eats batteries like crazy... make sure you have rechargeables. On: 2007-07-13
We bought this camera for my daughter who is 11. The camera works great except when I received it we realized that you have to constantly replace or charge the batteries. It did not come with a charger. If I had known this I would not have purchased it. The information did not tell me that I had an option of ordering a docking station which would be a lot easier for a child. Since receiving the camera we have purchased a docking station and my daughter is having a blast taking photos. I think Kodak bears more responsibility than Amazon. Even Kodaks website was not helpful. On: 2007-07-04
Easy to use and the dock is great for syncing and charging the camera. We use it at our office to photograph patients for our electronic chart and we get great results and its easy to use. On: 2007-06-12
I enjoyed the camera until about two months after the warrenty ran out the zoom feature broke. I called Kodak and the cost of repair and shipping was excessive.
Regarding batteries, I found that Lithium work very well and give good long life. On: 2007-06-11
I was very happy with the Kodak C330 Digital Camera. It was very easy to use and I was very impressed with the quality of the pictures. I would highly reccomend this camera to anyone who is looking for inexpensive digital camera!! It is a great bargin! On: 2007-06-08
I liked this product. Its my first digital camera, so I dont have a basis for comparison, but its easy to use and easy to figure out. If youre a newbie like me, know that it goes through batteries like crazy and youll need additional memory (like an SD card) but the rechargeable batteries and card are not expensive, and theyre worthwhile investments. for a young persons first digital camera, this is ok
but Ive had this camera for a bit over a year, and I grew out of it very quickly. It was my first digital camera that was all mine, but I was extremely dissapointed. The image quailty is typically really bad, and it preforms bad in low light. The flash tends to make the pictures look bad. I also find it chunky compared to so many of the other compact digital cameras out there.
Pros:
good first camera, extremely easy to oporate
Cons:
poor image quality (with and without flash), very few manual options, chunky for the type of camera it is, few megapixels
I advise you not to buy this camera, unless youre a young (child) first time users.
look into canons, theyre pretty simple, and much much better. On: 2007-05-29
This is the second EasyShare camera Ive purchased in two years. My first one lasted about 8 months until the flash broke (either wouldnt go off or would wash out my pics). So I bought this one b/c I was familiar w/the software (which I dont even use, the Adobe suite is 1000x better if you know what youre doing) and its easy to use.
Basically Im in college and need a cheap but decent camera I can throw in my purse when I go out. This one, after having it for almost a year and a half wont accept my batteries anymore. At first I thought it was my AA battery charger wasnt working so I bought some regular AA batteries. They last, honestly for less than 5 pictures, then the camera just shuts off with the lens open.
The pictures are pretty good quality. My computer frequently doesnt read my camera. When Im uploading pics I have to turn the camera on/off and un/plug the cord multiple times for my computer to recognize it. That could be a problem w/my comp, the camera, or software, Im not sure but its a nuissance.
Anyways I vote do an EasyShare camera if youre looking for a cheap fix to last you a year or two until you can either afford/be responsible enough for a nicer one. On: 2007-04-18
Got this for my son. We love this camera. It was a good investment. On: 2007-03-26
Brought this for my daughter as her first camera.
Very pleased so far. easy to use and pictures are good. On: 2007-03-10
I was a photographer in a former life(high school), almost went into it professionally. Im much happier with a SLR in my hands than a point and shoot, but we purchased this for our 9 year old son so we could finally enter the "digital age". And this little camera does not disappoint in that respect.
Who needs a Polaroid camera anymore, when you can take a picture and print it out on a printer at home? Too cool. This Kodak has a nice optical zoom, though I have trouble using the digital zoom. You cant use the digital zoom through the viewfinder, only the lcd screen on the back. Since Im still in the dark ages, Im probably the only person left that has a problem using a lcd screen (:
For the price, this camera meets all our needs. On: 2007-02-14
I gave the camera to my daughter as a gift for her birthday and she is really very pleased with it. She
told me the quality and color comes out very well.
She is leaving for Paris in March, and will really get
to give her camera great use!!! On: 2007-02-12
Kodak always is superior, I have the oldest model , the cx330 and this and they are supreme. On: 2007-02-07
I bought this camera about a year ago. I was a beginner in taking digital pictures and a technophobe to boot, so I wanted something that was really easy to set up and use and also provide good-quality pictures. I couldnt be more satisfied than Ive been with this camera. It met all my expectations--and more. For a beginner, or to give a first camera to a young person to start out with, or if you just want a good basic camera, you cant make a better choice. On: 2007-02-06
beach camera keep their word
everything come on time or before, new and working nice On: 2007-01-06
I bought this to replace an Olympus 3mp camera that suddenly stopped working. It costs as much to get a digital camera repaired as it does to buy a new one ... the manufacturers would rather cut down on quality control in the first place because film cameras Ive had have lasted decades.
I use this camera for our website and it does a very good job on auto setting. The manual gives good instructions for using the half dozen optional settings. I paid about $40 more when it was offered by Amazon maybe 6 months ago, so this is a good deal from their new vendor. Digital camera prices, like all tech stuff, always goes down in price over time.
Recommended for an all around good camera. On: 2007-01-05

I bought this camera for my mother. It doesnt feel as solid as my other Kodak EasyShare. It takes nice pictures and is easy to use. If I were to do it again, Id buy a Nikkon CoolPix. On: 2007-01-04
i love the camera, my mom had one just like it so it was easy to learn. thank you for sending it so fast, its great On: 2007-01-04

What can I say, in my heart-of-hearts I know it would be wrong to rate the Kodak C330 a single star, I want to... But, it is not its fault that through 16 months together I kicked the crap outta this camera.
Not on purpose.
I have taken over ten thousand photos with my Kodak and it still works.
Well, parts of it still work.
I have dropped it... ballpark figure here, maybe 80 times. It has been to the beach twice (big mistake) and to the public pool/private pool numerous times as well as one fateful sled ride.
This camera cannot take abuse.
My zoom no longer works, my focus no longer works, my viewfinder looks like a white pus-filled cloud, my lens is gritty and scratched, the body of the camera has about 6 dents/marks/chunks missing.
I am moving on to the Olympus Stylus 7.1 MP 720sw (shock proof, water proof)
When it was new, it was fabulous. The pictures were okay (its only 4 MP, so...) but good quality. The micro setting worked well. The video is passable, thankfully -with- sound. The software could use work, the upload times are wonderful but the editing/organizing I didnt even bother with since I use a third party editor. I have had a few problems with the software updater causing system errors, etc. The optical zoom made zoo trips and park play dates a shoe-in for great pics, keep the clarity without having to be close.
The problems lie in: weight, bulk, low megapixels, choppy software, durability.
Buy if youre anally perfect with your gadgets.
Beware if you have a toddler and bit of a scattered mind at times. On: 2006-12-04
I actually wan this in a contest and I was sooo glad Id entered that contest. The camera has lots of options that vary depending on the environment- the night mode option is excellent. The photos in general are good quality and the controls are very easy to use. I recommend this to anyone looking for a good cam. but I suggest you buy more memory as the camera comes with only 16 mb. internal memory. I currently have the 1gb SD and I dont have to worry about the space running out. All in All this is a really great camera. On: 2006-11-04
I purchased this camera to carry around with me in my handbag. However, I received a camera that is small enough to carry around and takes great pictures. I also have a Canon camera that is for more serious photography but I must say this little Kodak is almost a match in the picture quality etc.
The only negative thing is the fact that it goes through batteries like crazy (approximately after every 75 - 100 pictures) On: 2006-11-04
I was looking for a digital camera that was inexpensive but still gave decent results, and this Kodak EasyShare fit both criteria. I was replacing a much more technical (and expensive) Fujifilm camera, which broke once too often. This little, light Kodak is all that most people would want in an everyday camera. It reminds me of the simple, fun camera from the "open me first" days of Kodak. On: 2006-10-28
I really have no idea what Im doing wrong, because for some reason I just CANT get a picture to come out clear with this camera. Apparently its me, and not the camera itself, because many reviews here say the pictures come out nice and clear. But even if Im sitting perfectly still, taking a picture of something thats also perfectly still- the picture still comes out fuzzy. I have to resize it to be much smaller to get it to look decent. But Im assuming this is something Im doing wrong, since so many people have praised the picture quality.
Other than that problem, this has been a great camera for as long as Ive owned it. I took it to summer camp, and it managed to survive hiking, canoeing, and the bus ride there and back without any harm. The batteries did run out several times on the trip- the screen seems to suck up batteries like crazy. The pictures (once I resized them to get rid of fuzziness) were great and the video feature was surprisingly good as well. Also I was surprised at how many pictures I could take with the memory card- I didnt even come close to filling it up, on a week-long camping trip. Overall a good camera- although I wish I knew what I was doing wrong to make the pictures all so fuzzy.... On: 2006-08-16
I had a Kodak CX7430 but it was stolen. I loved that camera. I found this replacement and was very pleased with the result. This camera is even better than the old I had. Keep up the good work Kodak. I have recommended this camera to all my family and friends. On: 2006-08-06
I bought this Kodak camera at a great sale price (it was bundled with the printer dock too) and got rid of my old, large, slower (but dependable) HP digital camera that I had owned for years. The Kodak had all of the features I was looking for in a new camera. I almost felt it was too simple to use until I discovered you could turn off all of the display icons & messages. For a week and a day I used it to take a few pictures inside and out plus a short video. Then after just taking a picture the lens wouldnt go back in when I turned the camera off. Finally it did slowly go back in but when I turned it back on, I received an lens error message 14 and the lens didnt come back out. I tried everything in the manual, charged the batteries and even put in new Kodak camera batteries plus called customer support (who wasnt totally helpful) but the camera was dead. I was very disappointed that this camera only lasted a little over a week so I returned it for a refund. Im not sure if I want to try another Kodak easyshare camera since they all seem to be basically the same model type. Perhaps I should go back to a HP camera again. On: 2006-07-29
For the most part this is a fine digital camera. I purchased one via amazon for my wife 6 months ago, and my daughter asked for one for her birthday. We are very happy with this and it does everything we would like it to.
ONE WARNING - the directions of this camera make it clear that one MUST use LITHIUM batteries, yet Kodak includes within the box a free pair of ALKALINE batteries. Trying to use these incorrect batteries causes the photo lens cover to freeze up...remain closed after only a brief use. For those unaware, it takes the frustration of getting ahold of the invoie and contacting Kodak about the problem.
Do yourself a favor...should you want to buy this camera..and it is a good one...also purchase LITHIUM batteries! On: 2006-07-28

Todays digital amateurs and novices looking for a good camera have a plethora of choices: Huge mega-pixles, techno-savvy features, and then theres the varied prices. Yet the achilles heel of many digital cameras is they accel in some aspects, but disappoint in others. The Kodak C330 and its Kodak kin are spot-on in all three aspects. Specifically, the Kodak C330 is the Swiss army knife of digital photography.
I have used Kodak digital cameras before and was impressed early with their ease of use, large screen, unimcumbered layout, and easy to use EasyShare software. I shopped for Canon, Nikon, and Pentax cameras to get a sense of what features and prices I could expect. The Kodak C330 and kin first impressed me with their simple layout; big buttons, not those that resemble small cell-phone buttons. Second, the big and bright screen size made it easy to see the picture I took, even in direct sunlight. The simple menu on the camera made the learning curve short, thus giving me an out-of-the-box experience. It uses either SD or MMC cards for additional memory. I suggest going with SD memory as they hold more memory than the older MMC and are now fairly inexpensive. The zoom lens works efficiently and the zoom controls are a cinch to use. Another user-only discovery: The battery life in these cameras is amazingly long! Finally the EasyShare software was a joy to use: Simple and intuitive for both amateurs and novices alike: I easily maneuvered between taking Color,B&W, and Sepia pictures. Transferring pictures from camera to PC was very quick!
The only dissappointment was with the Kodak Retinar lens. I wish Kodak would have instead used their German Schneider-Kreutznach lens it uses in their upper cameras. The Schneider-Kreutznach lenses are superior to many, if not all the lenses I have seen in and on digital cameras. Likewise, please be forewarned of cheap digital cameras that use inferior lenses. I have learned that while some cameras are feature-laden with techno-gizmos, this sometimes conceals a inferior lens. After all, no feature on any camera is more tangible than the lens itself.
The Kodak C330 is a great camera for those interested in digital photography and dont want to spend a fortune. You ought to consider this little Swiss Army knife of a camera. It will not disspoint!

I dont think that the reviews are very accurate. I think they are misleading and am not certain that everyone writing a review has actually used this camera or has much photography experience. I have had this camera for about 6 months and have used it to take pictures of my children mostly but used it for other shots as well. My biggest complaint is that you cant take action photos. There is a lag time between when you click the switch to take a picture and when the shutter engages. It takes about 1-2 seconds and anything in motion is out of the frame by that time. Please tell me if I am doing something wrong but this is my experience. It eats batteries and when the battery finally dies the camera gets stuck with the lense out and you cant retract it. I think it takes good pictures. I hate the software and you cant interface the camera with the computer any other way but the bundled software. It is not a bad camera but if you want to take action photos and dont want to buy batteries buy another camera. On: 2006-07-06
I had a Kodak camera before, but found that my needs had exceeded that cameras capacities, so I bought the C330. I LOVE that there are so many modes in which to capture pictures! Along with color, sepia and black-and-white, there are modes for self-portrait, beach, landscape and low-light to name a few. (which works out perfectly since many of the photos I take are in low-light situations or with dodgy ambient light)
Images are so crisp and gorgeous, and for a limited time, Amazon will give you a 256 MB flash card...FREE! I can now take approximately 800+ shots with the flash card installed (even though the camera is 4 megapixels, I always shoot at 1.1 megapixels - I dont need to have my images at 11 X 17, for petes sake!)
This is a wonderful camera for a great price. Definitely recommended. On: 2006-07-06
I got one of these for my pre-teen for a gift. Low price and it was a name brand. This thing takes EXCELLENT PICTURES ---even when its a gaggle of birthday party giggly-girlies shooting it for the first time!
I was so amazed at this camera that I crossed the $[...]+ Sony camera off my wish list and put this on instead. I dont think you could possibly go wrong with this camera or one of the models similar to this in the Kodak Easyshare.
Price, quality and ease of use are all the top things to look for in a digital still camera and this little guy has it all.
Forget higher megapixels - most people dont need them. Forget the docking station - ditto. Grab the camera and some rechargable batteries or alkaline and a smaller capacity extra memory card (unlikely that youll need the more expensive one) and you are good to go for a low,low price! On: 2006-06-23
This camera was a gift for my teenage son. It is easy to use, takes great pictures, and he really loves it!
As always, Amazon shipped it promptly, and we got it in time for Christmas last year. by: Anonymous On: 2006-06-22
I got this camera for my birthday this year. This camera has everything an expesive camera has. The only thing is on the video is that you can video tape sound ,but you can only hear it after you download the video onto the computer. Also, you can only zoom in really close and see it if you are about a couple feet up high. This is really great for children who want a digital camera. On: 2006-06-09
I bought this camera in December of 2005 for a family gift. After reading all the reviews on this and other cameras, I was very excited about having a camera that would take great pictures, per the reviews. Oh...it does take good pictures...but I can not get the pictures off the camera. From the very first, we had problems with the software, which is a real pain to get to work right. I transfered 4 pictures to my computer and those are the last pictures we have been able to get off the camera. We even installed the software to another computer and it still wont work. First it identifies the camera, then it says "camera cant be found". Since the camera seems to working properly, it now appears that the USB cable is bad. I have contacted Kodak, furnished them my receipt, and requested a new cable. They advise that there is not a problem with the cable and....get this...the cable is NOT covered by the warranty. If I want, they will be happy to ship me another, once I pay [...]. So, either I buy another cable...which at this date is only 6 months old and never worked properly to start with...or purchase another camera. I now have a camera that takes great pictures but does me no good. If you are thinking about buying this camera....think long and hard. Its not worth the money and Kodak does not stand behind their product. This is the last Kodak product I will buy. On: 2006-06-06
This camera is one of the best camera I see on the market for that price. I bought this camera about a month ago and it took some great pictures. This camera eat batteries alot, so get rechargeable at least 2100mAh.
Glenroy On: 2006-06-05
Bought this camera earlier this year, and its been nothing but trouble. Despite several adjustments and support from Kodak, I cannot take a decent photo for the life of me.
Colors are always off and are never true to life, and you can almost rely on your photos being slightly blurry and out of focus.
The loading dock is convenient and innovative, but not when Kodaks software crashes (which is often).
Ive used multiple digital cameras (namely Fuji and HP), and compared to them, the Kodak c330 is simply awful. On: 2006-05-22
Ive been reading the other reviews of this camera and honestly I dont know where all the praise is coming from. When you view photos on the computer it is very misleading because they look fine. Once they are developed you will notice that the pictures come out blurry and the color is off. Some colors are so bright it just doesnt look right. Secondly, the developed photo covers a smaller area than the computer photo. For me I think the picture is centered until it is developed and I notice someones head is cut off or something. Again, it looked fine on the computer. Red-eye galore, and the date stamp is huge and a distraction to the picture. Needless to say, I am disappointed. On: 2006-05-21
How can you rate a product, which often turns out to be dead right when you have a great shot? It is very unreliable in the sense that it gobbles up batteries. It happened to me so many times that my camera has run out of batteries when I want to take pictures! Carry around a stock of batteries when you use this thing. I would recommend taking batteries out after each use. On: 2006-05-18
This camera is unbelieveable! It takes much better pictures than my Cannon Powershot, which was much more expensive too. Its very user-friendly, and the pictures come out crystal clear - even the closeups. I am shocked by the quality of the pictures based this cameras price, which is very reasonable. You need this camera - you wont be disappointed! :) by: Anonymous On: 2006-05-16
Pros:
Great resolution
good color
modes are easily switched
affordable
AA battery, i.e. fits standard NiMH rechargeable battery
SD card, 512 MB card can hold > 500 pictures
Cons:
high Audio noise during video recording
Little bit bulky
Note: be sure to get AA rechargeable batteries that has > 2000 mA-hr. On: 2006-05-15
Camera features & setup are very poorly designed. System electronics always going haywire. Consumes AA batteries like a fiend. Pictures always come out blurry. I took couple dozen pictures with this and returned it immediately. On: 2006-05-13
I purchased this camera for my 14 year old for Christmas 2005 and what a purchase this was. It was her favorite gift last Christmas and it took great photos and mini movies. We also purchased a 1 gb memory card to go with it and I cant say enough about the
easy handling, great pictures and awesome short movies this inexpensive camera can take. When I say
inexpensive I mean for what this camera can do, its well worth the money.
Unfortunately her camera was stolen from her at a high school sponsored dance last night and she was devastated.
If this camera does not turn up, I will be purchasing another one for her, for her 15th birthday coming in September. Thats how much this camera is worth it.
Its just the right size and quality for a 15 year old and
older.
No complaints on this camera at all.

Been looking for awhile and we tried a polaroid digital first. Although it could take a decent picture you certainly couldnt depend on it. It just wasnt likely to give you what you wanted. After that I really wanted to go with an olympus or nikon but they were missing features such as video w/ sound or standard memory card interface in the sub $200 cameras. I was just looking to do snapshots and didnt want to relearn all the photo info I used to know. I must admit its a heck of a camera. Here are the pluses:
Long battery life using included niMh. (maybe 100 pix or so)
Very good auto mode. (Usually takes a decent shot)
Standard SD Memory (That killed off the olympus and sony for me)
Good MPixels for the price
Good size (Smaller would be nice but thats another $100)
Only name brand in price range to do decent video w/ sound
Easy for the whole family to use
The downside:
Absolutly irritating software.
Terrible with alkaline batteries (<25 shots. Still need to try my own NiMh) But still better than no battery availability in an emergency.
Maybe not the best lens. (Hard to say but still damn impressive)
Mind numbingly horrible, bamboo shoots under the nails software.
I knew not to install the software but I did anyway. Best bet is to transfer the pix by moving the sd memory card to the pc manually. I use win 2000 and the kodak software installed ok but its too intrusive and not very useful. Its like installing an adware software program.

I just recieved this camera yesterday and love everything about it except for the video. The product information made the claim that it also captured audio with the clip, but I have been unable to make this work. I have tried to get the sound to play when I review a video clip and get nothing. Has anyone else had this problem?
Other than that, this is he best camera I have ever owned - many times better than my last SLR. On: 2006-05-05
When my daughter was born, my old digital camera died via the reformatted memory card problem normal to its brand. This Kodak camera looked to be the best purchase decision based on features versus price.
I have not been disappointed. An excellent interface allows you to quickly and easily find the kind of photo you need to take. The customizable settings give you the option of tweaking those presets to fit your needs. The pictures Ive taken have exceeded my expectations for a 4 megapixel camera. Some 5+ megapixels cameras cant even match the quality at times. The size of the camera is also nice: not small enough to get lost and not too large as to be bulky. The optical zoom (or physical zoom) is great and can be enhanced by the digital zoom. Overall, a fine value and a fine product. Recommended.
The prices are even lower than when I purchased this a year ago. Grab one today. On: 2006-05-02
This is a great camera! It is easy to use and its size makes it convenient to carry around. On: 2006-05-02
The problems were in the following areas compared to the Olympus FE-100
1) Exposure accuracy missing sometimes.
2) Over-saturated colors.
3) Non-accurate white balance on many occasions.
4) Color accuracy not quite there - yellow standstone building can land up looking whitish presumably because of white balance problems. Same scene shot with an FE-100 looks perfect.
5) Lens not as sharp as the FE-100 lens
Both the FE-100 and c330 have been purchased in my family and I have used both very extensively. For picture quality - Ill go for the FE100 in a heartbeat. On: 2006-04-29
This Kodak C330 is my first digital camera. It has so many different picture options, which are ALL ....SO EASY to use. I love the cropping option.....after you take a picture, you can crop it and save it. Anyway, I can not say enough about this great little camera. ENJOY! On: 2006-04-19
I have a different model Kodak camera, however they all use the same EasyShare software. Running Windows XP, I could not get the software to work properly. After several hours on the phone with Kodak tech support, they couldnt get it working either. They said they are aware of the problem on some computers running Windows XP. It is now several weeks later and they still dont have a fix. They dont really seem to care either.
It might not be a bad idea to consider other brands, instead of Kodak. Since, if the software wont work properly, then what good is the camera?

i just bought this camera a few hours ago and i already love it
it takes great low light photos, and so far has a good battery life. i love everything about it except for the fact that it saves videos as .mov files but that is ok because it comes with quick time. i did however have trouble with the software. i spent 30-45 minutes and still didnt get the software installed on my computer which makes no sense because the same software is installed on the family computer which is almost the exact same computer except for the internet connection. i wound up just using the camera wizard that comes with win xp. so if the software doesnt work on your pc just use that. for $150 it is one of the best cameras ive ever had. which is not saying much because the other ones cost less than $60 but still it is one heck of a camera and if you r a 14 year old like me your gonna love it. one more con: the power wheel spins when you pull it out of your pocket. be sure to check out the sample photos i sent in, those were taken in the evening and look better than my natural vision On: 2006-03-23
I love it. This replaced my other stolen camera and it works great as well as easy to manage. Just dont hear the video sounds. On: 2006-03-21
I have to say this is a great camera, especially for someone that doesnt have a lot of experience. Kodak goes out of its way to make this as user friendly as it can. The dial on top allows you to pick what type of setting (normal, scenic, action, etc.) you are going to be taking pictures with, the downloading of pictures to the computer is a snap and if you want to share it with your friends/family online the ease of use to get the pictures to a webpage using ofoto/kodak.com couldnt be easier. It takes very nice quality pictures and with a 512MB SD card can hold well over 600 pictures at 4MP and nearly 30 minutes of video. The video quality was much better than I anticipated although not great and I thought the picture quality was outstanding. I was actually able to make out the individual whiskers on my face after I transferred the picture to my computer and I zoomed in. Also the battery life was excellent on the camera, even with experimenting and transferring and deleting and just generally putzing around they lasted quite awhile.
There are some drawbacks, although its to be expected for the price, you do need an SD card, the camera cant even take 20 pictures without one so make sure you buy one with the camera. The camera is not going to take rapid fire, pictures. You need to focus on the item for a second with the button partially held down before pushing it in all the way to get a real crisp picture and there is about a 2 second wait before the camera is ready to take another picture. I did get used to that surprisingly quickly even though I thought it was going to make me dislike the camera at 1st. If you just try to take quick pictures one right after the other the quality and focus is off. Once you get the hang of it though. its a snap but you do have to be prepared to wait a few seconds between pictures. IMHO There are better cameras out there but they are going to cost you quite a bit more from what I found. I think this is a great camera with a lot of nice features for the price, especially for someone that generally doesnt like/get along with electronic devices. On: 2006-03-18
This is my 2nd Easy Share Camera. I would still be using the 1st(2 years old) but the zoom button came off. Kodak changed the design of the zoom button, making it smaller and stronger, so I purchased this updated model. These cameras are so easy to use, with great picture quality. Their software is also easy to use to enhance your prints, crop them etc. The recovery time for flashes is instant unlike other, more expensive, cameras my friends have. On: 2006-03-14
The Kodak C330 camera is a compact, feature packed digital camera. With several preset modes the camera is capable of producing good results under all sorts of lighting conditions. Modes include Macro, landscape and portrait. Just select the mode that best fits your subject and your all set. Although the camera has an automatic setting you are still able to manually overide settings such as EV (exposure value) and ISO speed. Handy for experimenting. I like the fact that C330s firmware can be upgraded from a download on the internet, this can help correct any bugs and add enhancements. The only drawbacks are that the C330 doesnt have a battery status indicator, however, a battery icon will pop up when the batteries are just about to quit. Also it would be nice to see a numeric zoom factor reading on the LCD. Instead there is a simple vertical line marked "w","t" and "d". There is also an AC adapter jack on the camera for charging NiMH batteries. I tried the C330 under several different lighting conditions and the camera did its best to reproduce the scenes. Color saturation is excellent. Under daylight and with the flash indoors the C330 produces vivid, rich colors. The menu navigation is easy to use and learn as well. Sharing pictures is easy (hence the name) just press the red "share" button and follow the menu prompts. The camera intergrates well with the Easyshare computer software and works very smoothly with any Pictbridge capable printer. Overall the C330 is easy to use, a good price and a produces great results. On: 2006-03-13
i just bought this camera and it is great. i bought a 1GB memory card with this camera. on the highest quality mode it holds 1254 pitchurs and on lowest qualily it holds 3656 pitchures. Yes those numbers are right, or it holds 55 minutes of solid video with sound, same quality as a video camera. The only problem have which is really small i cant get it to play sound when i play the video back on the camera. If anyone out there knows how to make it play sound on the camera or if it is even made to do that, please email me at chane_vandenburg@yahoo.com
Great camera for the price though. On: 2006-03-02
This camera is the best value in this class hands down. Its so easy to operate, I love all the features, and it takes the best pictures, pictures as good as cameras costing much more. All I can say is you cant go wrong with this camera, price, quality of photos, and I have owned simalar cameras that just cant match this one. Buy this camera. On: 2006-03-01
I was very hesitant to put myself out there again for a digital camera. Id had a very bad experience with a Sony Cybershot and was very leery to buy another. But were taking a family vacation next week, and I didnt want to go back to the stone age of picture taking. My sister has a Kodak so I decided to use that one.
Im very impressed! Ive only had it for a week, and have not yet put it through the paces of picture taking...just a few here and there. The real test will be out on the road. So far so good. Even set to the lowest setting for pictures, (1 mega pixel...I think...Im not too hip on the whole technical terminology) the pictures are huge, and very clear.
We bought the rechargeable battery pack and a memory card, and I can get 885 pictures out of it! Im very impressed. Its not the fastest shutter speed Ive seen, but taking pictures of monuments...theyre not going anywhere...
Overall very impressed and will update after the family vacation to tell you all how it held up! Im definitely going to be a return customer of Kodak!
UPDATE:
Just got it back from vacation and still very impressed. I was shutter happy the whole vacation and still had room to spare. One thing Id recommend is to get the rechargeable batteries and the pack, it eats through regular batteries faster than drinking water.
It takes good videos and pictures, and its something Id definitely recommend to others! On: 2006-02-28
Love it. Easy to use and makes good quality pictures. On: 2006-02-27
I love this camera so much! I bought this camera in hopes to improve the quality of my art photography, and for such a small price I am stunned by its quality. People who have viewed my art in the past have commented on how great my pictures have improved with this camera. And the features on it are beautiful. Every picture is so unique with all the functions for each picture. Its my favorite camera Ive owned so far, and at this price, I know Ive made the right choice. Its so easy to use, and the software it comes with is wonderful, and gives so many photo enhancing options as well! On: 2006-02-25
I am very happy with this camera. The price is right, and the features are just right for amateur/hobby photography. I have even used the video capture feature and find it quite good. My only criticism for this camera is that the feature selector ring sometimes turns too easily, and the camera turns on accidentally when I slip it in my camera case sleeve. On: 2006-02-24
Inexpensive and nice quality photos. Although I like my HP R607 better cause its rechargeable. On: 2006-02-16
I bought this camera after my Older HP wasnt cutting it anymore. And Im very glad I went with Kodak. The Picture quality is very good in any MP Mode. The picture modes are also very helpful in taking beautiful pictures. Its very compact (fits in my pocket) , and it starts up and is ready to go very quickly. I would recomend this camera to any novice photographer and even advanced ones who dont have the money to buy a expensive profesional camera. Great Buy. On: 2006-02-16
I received it sooner then expected. Knowing I paid under 100.00 I wasnt expecting much. But what I got was fantastic. easy to use(even for a electronic idiot like myself), great pics for the money. On: 2006-02-01
This was purchased for a friend who is just starting in digital. Easy to use and takes decent pictures. A good choice for the price for a novice. On: 2006-01-31
great camera with memory card lots of photos. loss of battery power the only negative On: 2006-01-27
I had my eye on a $400 sony digital because I need to upgrade desperately from an older Sony (which I love). After buying this camera for my 9 year old, I was so impressed with it that Im going to save a bundle and get one for myself! I am high volume photo so Im very picky. Great camera, great price. You will need extra memory but the 256mb should be fine for most users. On: 2006-01-16
I bought this camera a little over a month ago after selling my previous Canon Powershot A80. Compared to the Canon, this camera is terrible. It takes mediocre pictures that are usually washed out and the white balance is just flat out bad. I sincerely wish I did not sell my last camera, as it was in such good condition. I do plan to get rid of this camera, and buy a new one... Fast.
If you are looking for a good, compact camera, Canon, Sony Cybershots, and Fujis are good choices. Kodaks just dont come through with good pictures, at all.
The battery life is also terrible. I used rechargable batteries, and they still only lasted about an hour and I was only able to take a few pictures with then having to delete most of them.
This camera is not worth the money at all, I suggest that anyone who is looking at this camera keep looking.

Bought this camera for my 8 year old daughter for Christmas. Both she and I find it very easy to take pictures, and get them developed. The quality of pictures is also good. by: Anonymous On: 2006-01-07
OK, MY MOM AND DAD JUST bought this camera. Worked fine!!! Until one day my dad turns it on pushes the button to take a picture..... goes blank, nothin!! We do not know what to do!! someone else sayed the same thing!! sorry kodak but i trust the camera any more. by: liverleef On: 2006-01-07
I was hesitant to buy a digital camera because Ive seen some that take poor quality pictures. A friend swore that this camera takes great pictures so I bought it. No regrets. Im highly pleased with this camera. The pictures are very crisp. The most impressive feature to me is the video. My wife and I were amazed at how well it took movies, even the sound in the movies was far better than I expected. I bought a usb hard drive and back up all the videos and pictures I take. Knowing that my pictures are safe forever is fantastic.
Only 2 things I dont like. One is that the batteries dont last that long. This is typical of digital cameras compared to 35 mm. The other is red-eye. Kodak software that comes with the camera can remove it but I have been using adobe photoshop as it works far better. There is also an option on the flash to limit red-eye and this indeed helps but doesnt eliminate the problem entirely. On: 2006-01-02
We bought the camera and camera dock. Basically, the camera is easy to use. We are not tech people but we were able to shoot pictures and move them to our computer easily, the first day, with minimal referral to the instruction book. The camera and computer software were easy to use. On: 2006-01-01
I purchased this camera this xmas as a gift for my brother.I own a kodak cx7530 myself so thats why I thought of getting him a kodak. The C330 has cheap plastic feel. Its very light weight even with batteries installed. In all fairness I must state no matter the quality of the pictures I cant get past the cheapy, cheap feel of this camera. The lcd screen is also very tiny... though very crisp and colorful under all conditions.
The pictures are just ok ... they lack a certain crispness and the color is slighty off to me.My brother says its fine but I think he says that cause he doesnt want to hurt my feelings. I would have returned the camera to amazon and spent more to get something better but he had already opened and played with the camera. They also do not include a video out cable with the camera. Also, while the camera records sound during video mode it DOES NOT play sound back during review on the camera. It plays sound when played on your computer or tv screen.
In closing may I kindly suggest passing this camera up and getting something a little bit better. On: 2005-12-30
I got this camera as a christmas gift this year and was fairly pleased. I had been shopping around for a camera to make slideshows with, and my parents very generously bought one for me. I am no expert in photography, but I know when a camera takes bad pictures. I have an olive skin tone and green eyes, and the pictures completely washed out my skin, leaving only my eyes with color. Also, pictures of subjects farther away than 28" came out dark and/or washed out as well. The color saturation is overwhelming, and I just couldnt take it. After a few trade ins between a couple other cameras I have finally stuck with a Sony Cyper-shot, which is a good camera. The kodak C330 is good for those who are looking for a bargain, and dont care about true to color skin tones. But if youd like to save a hundred dollars, stick with Kodaks disposable cameras and youll get better pictures. On: 2005-12-26
This camera is fantastic. Pictures come out great so does the video. Setting on the camera explain what it is on the display screen. You dont have to search the manual to see.
Fantastic video camera! Buy a 512 card and record a 30 min good/great quaility video. Buy it! On: 2005-12-04
The camera has been great until now!! I got the camera and while I was just about to take a picture, the screen turned black and none of the buttons would work... It looked dead, but the red light on the front is on and I cant figure out whats going on. The next thing I did was take out the batteries and put them back in. When I tried turning it back on the screen would turn on for a second then turn black again, after a few tries, it finally turned on and I thought that I should leave it alone and turned it off. The battery isnt dead because I just got it. Im really worried!! Please reply!! On: 2005-10-31
-Contents:
The box promised a video cable which was not included (this is really fun at parties). There also isnt a power adapter, which is not really a problem if you have rechargeable batteries, but is a pain to obtain. Kodak wants $15 extra for the video cable and $30 for the adapter.
-Operation: The camera needs to be configured before it is operated, so its not as simple as placing batteries in and firing away. Besides the "auto" mode, this camera has several different modes to chose from (children, portrait, sports, landscapes, close-ups, action, stills), selectable by a rotating button. In addition it has a "favorites" mode, where the camera tries to be a photo album so you can bore anyone sitting next to you with baby/family pictures. You may get confused by all that at first, but it is all optional, and if you just want a "point and shoot" camera, the first mode is "auto". A nice feature is that if you want to increase battery life, you can turn off the video display with one of the buttons on the back, and the camera will remember to keep the video off the next time you turn it on.
-Computer compatibility:
This is important for a digital camera. MacOS X users used to be able to connect any camera and have it mounted automatically will be disapointed. The camera insists on working only with the provided sofware, which means that you will have to throw your camera away when the software ceases to be updated and you move to another operating system version (possibly 2-3 years, 5 years maximum). It also means that Linux and BSD users will have trouble with this camera.
The software works well enough, but lacks the simplicity and user interface elegance of Apple software. Both the camera firmware and the software need to be updated, and Kodak requires personal information before providing any to you.
Overall, this camera is not such a great value when all the above issues are taken into account. by: Anonymous On: 2005-10-18
I bought this camera and I absolutely love it. I took this to Colorado on a trip and it work perfect. Im just so excited because before I had a camera that I hated. So I bought this one. It works great; the video camera setting quality looks GREAT. On: 2005-09-28
For my first digital camera, I bought a Canon A70. The user manual was huge, the camera controls mystifying, and the pictures were blurry. I blamed it on myself, thinking that I needed to read some books on photography. I spent hours reading books about photography, trying to solve the soft focus problem (see? I did learn something! Blurry is called "soft focus.") I thought my crummy pictures were my fault, after all, Canon was supposed to be the best! A few months short of two years, my Canon died a weird death--one day, I turned it on, and the screen was awash in purple and red blobs. I was angry at Canon after reading that this was a common occurence and there was no fixing it. But secretly, I was relieved. I hated that thing.
Holding my breath, I bought this EasyShare C330 camera with the dock. I didnt believe it would take good pictures...after all, how can something "easy" be good? WOW!!! Was I delighted! It really won this skeptic over. The pictures are clear, and the camera is so easy to understand and use! It narrates settings for you, its easy to navigate, and its a complete joy to use. The software is amazing--you can take a completely unbalanced, over-dark picture, edit it with a one-touch "enhance" button--and youve got a perfect picture! The color technology is amazing, too--gorgeous blues, vibrant reds; better than real life! What a delight after that complicated, annoying Canon.
Because this camera is such a joy to use, I find myself taking 20 times more pictures than I used to. I cannot say enough good things about it...it has completely changed picture-taking for me. Because I love taking pictures now, this camera has taught me more about photography than all the manuals and photography books I had to read.
In a nutshell, I would recommend this camera to anyone who just wants to take a good picture. Leave the "F stops" and "exposure times" to people who are interested in that sort of thing--I am definitely not. This camera takes fantastic pictures, PERIOD. On: 2005-09-27

Bought this camera for work and thus far the picture quality is not unlike many of the other reveiws posted here - very good overall. However the buyer should know that this camera DOES NOT COME WITH ANY FORM OF POWER!!! Batteries are supplied in the box but there is not power cord included to charge the camera. This requires you purchase a seperate easy share dock for around $50.00. Very deceptive practice by Kodak in my opinion. Who ever heard of selling a product then charging extra to be able to turn it on??? Good camera... very bad choice by Kodak... hence two stars for being so greedy and over charging its customers. This camera is a perfect first digital camera or if you are just looking for a small camera for easy travel. I have two really great SLR cameras but I was tired of having to lug them around when all I want is a few pictures of my kids at the zoo or something. This camera takes nice pictures, it has a tripod mount and timer for those group shots, and it is really easy to use. There are several settings that I havent played with yet but my husband has had fun with the TL setting, a strobe light, and some glow sticks. Of course the best part is you only need to print what you like which along with the small size is the other reason to switch to digital. We didnt use the software it came with but all I had to do was plug the cable into the camera and a usb port and the pictures were right there. Overall I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a first digital camera and anyone looking for an affordable digital camera that is easy to use and takes nice pictures. On: 2005-09-20
We have three teenage kids. They wanted to take pictures all the time with "dads" camera. So we got them each a C330. These cameras are easy to use and they get great looking pictures. They find sharing their pictures on line via the Kodak easy share site a lot of fun and its easy. I only have to buy one kind of memory card, and the downloading software is very easy to use on the computer. Now the kids can capture us for a change. On: 2005-09-20
The Product shipped in a reasonable time, and is performing as expected. On: 2005-09-14
This camera performed per excpectations. But, alas, it was recognized as such and stolen, possibly lost, two weeks after receipt, as someone else thought it too wonderful also. On: 2005-09-13
I actually bought this camera for my brother for a birthday present. He has repeatedly said what a great present it is. He says that he is very pleased with the picture quality and the camera is very easy to use. It seems to be a fun camera. On: 2005-09-08
I replaced an EasyShare cx7300 with this one because it has optical zoom and more modes, including close ups to post pictures on ebay and other sites. It has so many modes that I havent had a chance to use them all...even one for snow background! So far, I like it very much. It is a little bit slow when taking pictures in sport mode, the shutter takes several seconds. I am not too demanding because I dont know too much about photography, but in general, for the price, this camera does the job well done! On: 2005-08-25
Bought this as a gift. Kodak has received JD Power awards for being the most user friendly camera maker. That part was true. It had great little blurbs for every presetting to describe what it was intended to be used for. In addition, on its face, it was a good value: 3x zoom and 4MP all for under $150.
But the picture quality was so poor. I compared it to my several-year-old Canon A70 and it was really no contest. I was embarassed that I even bought the camera as a gift and told my friend that I would return it and get them a different camera.
Additional things: extremely short battery life and poor build quality. For an additional $20, you can get a Canon A510 that is built much better and has superior image quality. Take a look at some of the sample photos that users have uploaded on that camera.
Im glad that others are enjoying this camera, though. Im a big fan of Kodak normally... but I just cant support this camera. On: 2005-08-23
This camera is small and durable! 4.0 MP is just perfect. It is very easy to understand this camera...never even read the directions! Takes great pictures; has modes for sports, outdoors and close up photography! On: 2005-08-22
This inexpensive 4MB point-and-shoot digital camera provides a lot of bang for the buck. Although it does not "feel" as sturdy as competing Nikons (the switches seem a bit cheaper here), the camera works well, and is actually easier to work with. The software included is better than what you get from Nikon as well. And, the easy interface with Kodak Gallery for online storage is an additional plus. Though they do not recommend using regular alkaline batteries, they will work, as will a rechargeable Li-on, though again, they do not mention it in their manuals.
The camera offers multiple settings for special situations. Although not perfect, I did find that the camera shutter for "kid scene" was an improvement over the standard setting for children moving around a lot. Also, the on-camera menus were easy to understand. A nice feature is that you can access the in-camera memory even when a memory card is inserted - Nikon does not allow that.
Overall, this is a highly recommended camera for those on a budget. On: 2005-08-03
I have done extensive research on many kinds of digital cameras, from Canon to Olympus. This camera was recommended by a friend who knows that most architectures and engineers on the field choose Kodak digital cameras for durability, sharp pictures and great price. This camera is EASY to use and has many shooting modes. It also is small, like holding a deck of cards. Most of all it takes excellent pictures and the price is cheap in comparision to other cameras. Best to upgrade the memory card to 512, it will take over 600 pictures. Also, use recharable batteries and get a AC adapter. Also, get a extended warrenty. I got a 4 year one at Best buy for only $39.99.
Dont waste your money on other brands, if you want a simple, durable and great camera!!!
