More Information

High horsepower speaker...............     On: 2008-01-30

I was disappointed with the lack of clarity that you would connect to the name of Carver. This falls into the class of a high power center channel speaker. I have the wattage to push these past their entended use with power to spare. I recommend a change of brands that are proven performers.
Polk audio or Infinity would be my recommendation. They are very responsive to low wattage applications and have excellent clarity throughout the upper power range.
Not actually in stock - discontinued     On: 2008-01-05

I dont know if this speaker is any good or not, but dont try to buy it from here. I tried twice and both times about 4 days after I had ordered it (and the first time ordered the matching satellite speakers) I received an e-mail from Amazon saying it was currently out of stock so they were cancelling my order and I should try again later. Well I checked back a week or so later and it showed in stock but the same thing happened after I ordered it. I sent an e-mail to Parts Express (who is actually the seller, not amazon) and they said it had been discontinued (they also said they had no record of my order...strange). Anyways now Im stuck with the satellite speakers with no matching center. By the way I havent seen the center speaker in stock anywhere else since.
Excelent!!     On: 2007-03-09

It sounds excelent, very crisp and detailed sound, sturdy alluminum case, very solid feeling, nice looking and a bit large but no problem.
It cames with wall mounting and two bases for mountig on top of your furniture.
I wouldn't ever buy these again, stay away     On: 2007-03-08

I am a novice audiophile but I can tell these speakers leave a lot to be desired. My $40 radio shack speakers blow this thing away. The only difference between the Center channel and the towers is the mounting system and the orientation of the label on the grill. These are definitely not rated at RMS rating that they say that they are. I have mine hooked up to an onkyo 120 watt RMS reciever and they begin to pop and distort at about 1/3 volume. The Center and towers look pretty, but they dont perform like they should. If you want a better deal people are selling them on ebay for around 50 bucks, but I cant even say they are worth that.
