This antenna is a good replacement for my factory supplied antennta that got severed, although I dont think its quite as strong as the original. I think a better investment would be on a higher quality antenna, but of course that would include a higher price tag, understandably so. However, I am very happy with this vendor. Quick delivery, fair price, product just as described. Would use this vendor again. On: 2008-10-02
There is definitely a problem with this antenna. I dont know if its the overall design or a problem with the unit I received. I almost never get full signal strength with this antenna while I always get full strength with antennas on my other cars. Usually the strength is 1/2 or lower and driving underneath even a canvas awning will kill the signal. I also tried my other Sirius receiver with this antenna and it, too, received only 1/2 signal strength. I plan to purchase another one locally so I can test it right away and swap it if theres a problem.

while i love sirius radio, thier equipment and customer service are poor. i have replaced this antenna 3 times in 1 year. and while they work good for a while they eventually go bad. i have 3 radios and each one has had antenna problems. customer service from sirius is of little help. I installed it per the included instructions, which by the way, were much better than the Sirius factory instructions. Sirius failed to mention anything about luggage racks causing problems with reception. (Its a positional thing...) Im a lifetime subscriber, mostly listen to Howard 100, and if there were dropouts, youd miss important information. With this antenna, I have experience zero dropouts! Im a happy customer! Like many other people, my Sirius Satellite Radio DOT Car Antenna SSP1460 failed, so I replaced it with this one. It works great. Solidly built. I get much better reception of terrestrial signals too. Excellent replacement. On: 2008-05-27
This antenna was a replacment for one I had left on my trade in car, after looking at the negative reviews of the smaller Sirius antennas I stuck with the same one I had before. Works great with my Sirius passport SV-1 connected to my Mazda 3s factory system. I would reccomend people stick with this antenna. On: 2008-05-21
I bought this product to replace the third Sirius Micro-dot antenna
that died on me. Sirius replaced the first one under warranty but I had
to buy the second and third one. Sirius knows the Micro-dot is a piece of poop but they wont even respond to you after the warranty runs out.
This one receives as well or better in some locations than the Micro-dot.
I expect it to last more than 6 months since it is sealed. Dont buy junk from Sirius! On: 2008-05-14
The product Directed Electronics 14105 Car Antenna
worked exactly as advertised. Low profile, great reception--even from the inside of my car where I used it until installed it correctly. This was a replacement to a Siruis OEM antenna and a little cheaper than other advertised models. All models appear to have same flaw like the Siruis OEM antenna, a flimsy coxial type connector that will eventually wear out or break due to device movement or when disconnecting. On: 2008-05-12
This antenna is working great! It still resides inside the plastic bag in which it came resting on my hatchback rear cover INSIDE the car. The only time it loses reception is in my driveway under a tree canopy. I ran the wires up and around the trim and have left inside from day one. It is now about three months later and the DE 14105 continues to work great. I have hesitated putting it outside for fear of breaking a wire in the hatchback door.
The antenna that came with my "car kit" from Sirius lasted about one month. Perhaps I did not mount the magnet properly? I was careful to run the wire and find the least crushing spot on my car to lead the wire to the outside roof.
For the price, this is a wonderful value - for me, music is a must in my car.

I purchased Sirius Satelite Radio for my husband for Christmas. For some off reason, the original antenna just stopped working one day. I looked online and found this antenna so I ordered it for him. This antenna works better than the original antenna! Im not kidding! He never loses a station, its always clear and Im jealous! :-) This is definitely a great buy, I got the antenna just when the store said that I would get it and its just awesome! On: 2008-04-28
I purchased this antenna when I bought a new car and didnt take the original. Almost the same as the one that came with my Sirius Receiver a couple of years ago. Compact and low profile. Works good and just as easy to install. On: 2008-04-21
This plugged in to my Sirius unit (old one, but was not a problem, thanks to the unchanged connector) and provided the expected signal. Works as expected. Has a shallow body, which is nice. On: 2008-04-06
This is the one to get. The round Sirius Antennas always fail after about 1 year. So far these work great. On: 2008-03-09
This antenna works, but not always as well as one would like. It is smaller than the original car antenna for this Audiovox product and one wonders if its diminutive size costs something in the quality of its reception. On: 2008-03-06
The original equipment, an externally mounted Sirius 14120 Dot Ultra-Low-Profile Car Antenna, died after about a 1.3 years life. While searching for its replacement, I read the reviews for this option, the Sirius 14105 Car Antenna. Suitably impressed, I purchased this alternative. Not looking forward to paying for its installation, I was able to simply attach the antenna to the radio, leave it inside the car (positioned in the center and at the base of my Subaru Foresters windshield), with the wire secured within the "relatively useless" dashboards central storage compartment. It continues to provide a superb, uninterrupted signal since purchasing it over 4 months ago. Thanks to those folks who took the time to write the reviews! And, kudos to Amazon.com for their efficient handling and shipping of this item. On: 2008-02-13
The product worked exactly as advertised. Low profile, great reception--even from the inside of my car where I used it until installed it correctly. On: 2008-02-08
My antenna that came with my receiver stop working so I shopped around and found this one at a great price. It does the job and now I have my Sirius back! On: 2008-02-05
I ordered this to replace my OEM antenna. I know several others whose OEM antennas have failed. This unit looks much better built, and Im expecting it to last much much longer than the OEM, as it has for all my friends.
DO not BUY another OEM antenna. Get this one instead. On: 2008-01-18
this is a hard to find item. it is a better quality than the one that come with the radio. very good value On: 2008-01-11
Sick of junk Sirius Satelite antennas? This may be the one for you. This is my fourth sirius antenna in a one year period. I have more money in junk antennas than I have in my Serius subscription. This may be the one that ends my misery.I live in the North East and these junk antennas do not hold up. This has lasted the longest so far.Quality apears to be good and the reseption is great. So for now Im happy. On: 2008-01-03
This antenna has made my reception so clear. I never get the searching for signal errors anymore. I used to get interference from other cars, I would end up picking up what they were listening to instead of what I wanted to. This antenna has made that a thing of the past. I live near NYC, so there are alot of cars on the highways with satellite radio. Since I bought this antenna, I get such a clear signal, I feel like I am
really getting my moneys worth from satellite radio.Great product. On: 2007-12-07
This antenna should replace the one that came with the radio. Its more powerful. I get less drop outs and it picks up a stronger signal from more locations in the car. A surprise hit with me. On: 2007-12-04
I purchased the 14105 Sirius car antenna a few months after the wire in my original antenna broke. I was skeptical about purchasing the lower-priced replacement antenna. However, Im glad I did. The 14105 works better thatn the original. Great reception & plenty of antenna wire if you want to run the antenna through your car to affix it to the trunk area. Mine works just fine from my dash. Very good buy! On: 2007-11-04
Bought this antenna to replace the prior one that came with my Sportster IV Sirius radio. The new car I bought came installed with XM which sucks compared to Sirius.
As others have commented, the original Sirius antenna just wouldnt work after about a year. So far so good on this replacement. Highly recommended. On: 2007-10-19
I decided to give this antenna a try following the failure of two "low profile" antennas in four months.
Although I was initially skeptical given my earlier experiences with the previous car antennas, this units performance has more than exceeded my expectations. If youre seeking a good replacement car antenna for your Sirius radio, you wont regret buying this one. On: 2007-10-10
I have had Sirius radio for years now and owned many items including multiple antennas. This one wins hands down- either for your car or your home. This is the 2nd antenna of this kind I own, this one is used with my home docking kit, the other on the car of course. The wire is quite thin, so its easily put into window/door seals and also can be put just about anywhere and will pick up a signal, ie: on the ground, the roof, placed on the edge of your deck, ect. Its also much smaller than all the other "home antennas" which for the most part never work anyway. This small antenna will pick up strong signals anywhere even near a building/structure. Received product in timely manner in great condition and ready to use! Would work with this seller again! On: 2007-09-07
I was in a bind. I had the original antenna go out on me. I called Sirius and thankfully they were not in stock with what came with my S50. So i got on Amazon and read reviews. It looks like everyone has issues with their original antenna. The 14105 Antenna was a cheap way to go to get what i needed. I needed an antenna quick because i was traveling on vacation and needed it ASAP. I took a chance on this antenna (was a little nervous, I thought it looked generic) I hooked the antenna up the same way as the other and it worked great and continues to work smoothly. I would recommend buying the 14105 Antenna before trying to look for a more expensive model On: 2007-08-31
This is the BEST antenna to have! I have purchased two others that always needed aiming for my home boom box and with this one you put it out and your are done - set it and forget it! I highly recommend this to anyone setting up their home Sirius system! On: 2007-08-26
works so far. I only have it on the dash. Not the best reception there but I plan to move it outside anyway On: 2007-08-25
Unlike the original one that the Sirius radio came with, this one works great. I never need to worry about losing reception with this anymore. On: 2007-08-22
After buying another car and only having one Sirius receiver (Starmate Replay) and car kit it seemed we either had to not listen to Sirius in one vehicle, move the antenna back and forth between vehicles, or buy another receiver with car kit. I was not about to pay for another receiver subscription and receiver, and moving the antenna back and forth was a hassle. So we decided to simply buy another antenna for the other vehicle and move the receiver and car power adapter back and forth which has proved to be an simple solution. On: 2007-08-09
Lasted 2 days before getting No Antenna message. There were no
cuts in the wire, it was properly installed according to the manual.
Just up and died on me. On: 2007-08-02
I have gone through two "Sirius low profile" antennas and they only last 6 months to a year before they start to lose signal and eventually quit working. This antenna has a srtonger signal from the start and a slightly "beefier" design. Hopefully it will last a long long time. I hope this helps someone pick this over the low profile design. On: 2007-02-15
This little magnetic antenna
works fine. No fuss, no muss,
just put it on your roof,
run the wire to the Sirius
radio unit, and bingo,
superior reception...
I have had it for about a
year, dont even think about it,
just use it over and over again.
No problems.
