I will say that the Sirius Satellite antenna which is included with the radio was junk, after purchasing 3 to replace the original one and all failing. Contacting Sirius about this issue and they NEVER replyed to my email I just purchased the Monster Cable Ant-Car and it has been working ever since. On: 2007-10-26
I had to replace my Sirius antenna after my car was damaged in an accident. I heard all the bad stories about the standard Sirius magnetic antennas and read great reviews about the Monster Cable MSR-ANT-CAR. I bought it and have been very happy with it. I dont get snow or much rain where I live, so I cant vouch for its performance in bad weather. I can say, however, that the signal on the Monster Cable MSR-ANT-CAR is strong, the sound is clear and the magnet stays put (even after many car washes). If you need a new/replacement antenna for your Sirius car player, this is a solid purchase. On: 2007-07-23
Like many people, I too experienced problems with the default antenna provided with my Sirius radio. I was hesitant to buy this but based on other feedback, I took a chance. Im glad I did, because its a great antenna for a reasonable price! No problems or issues with it at all and I havent noticed any increase in noise while driving at highway speeds. On: 2007-05-18
I bought the Monster Cable MSR-ANT-CAR Sirius Car Antenna to replace the factory low profile dot antenna which began to suffer from signal loss. I could be happier with the purchase. It has been trouble free and despite what other people have said, I havent noticed any difference in wind noise with this unit. On: 2007-03-15
I park my vehicle outside all the time and was having problems with the antennas that came in the car kit. After several months of exposure to the elements, I would lose the signal. I invested in this more costly antenna, but so far, it has worked great. On: 2007-02-07
The Sirius supplied magnetic antenna never worked well from day 1 and got worse until I had a No Antenna Detected display. The indoor antenna was used on the dash for a couple of weeks. I ordered the Monster MSR-ANT-CAR and have been extremely pleased with the performance to date. I gained 1-2 bars of signal and now rarely have signal drops. The Sirius antennas both had a habit of losing signal during the punch lines of jokes or stories... On: 2007-02-06
Replaced a broken standard antenna. This one is supposed to have better reception, but I cannot tell the difference.
The magnet is significantly weaker than the standard antenna, and it is about twice the height. You may hear wind whistling above your head.
The only plus is that the wire cover is very flexible and the gluetape they used contoured to my roof way better than the standard antenna. On: 2006-12-22
Item arrived fast, and it works great.
I have been through 3 of the "stock" Sirius magnetic mount antennas that ship with the automotive kit for the Sportster replay.
Each one failed after some wet weather followed up by a cold snap.(California)
This time I decided to try a different brand. The Monster Cable antenna has now survived several mornings from 27 to 31 degrees F.

I had mine for less than a month when the antenna wire pulled away from the magnetic part of the antenna. -I have to qualify this by saying that I did not install the antenna per the instructions. Because I live in a bad neighborhood, I cant leave something like this on the car- it would get ripped off. So every night when I got home I would carefully remove the antenna and put in inside my trunk. After a few weeks of this, the wire broke off from the magnetic part of the antenna. The exact same thing happened to my wifes unit. Maybe this would not have happened if we had installed the antenna "permanently", but let this be a warning to anyone who thinks they will be able to take this type of antenna off/on.
Now in our cars we are both using home antennas. We put them inside the rear window, which works very well. On: 2006-02-07
