IF I COULD GIVE IT -5 STARS I WOULD, IT IS GOOD FOR NOTHING!!
I bought this item, on 05 Black Friday Sales. I did not get to actually use it until Feb 06. This unit is totally useless for recording from TV. The first annoyance is that you have to actally switch between recording and playback mode. To get to the point it a useless recorder, I lost serveral episodes of Lost because it would record them in Spanish, (only ABC channel). After Finalising, the disc would not play elsewhere. I was told by support to do a firmware upgrade and now it will not even show the TV channels clearly, talk less of record.
Warranty is only 60 Days, I am sending this unit back to Coby as a gift to them, I do not want it in my house, they can have it and my [...] too.
A company that makes such a poor product probably needs a [...] donation.
I have a sensory Science unit I bought Xmas Sales 05, I have never had a problem with it, I do a lot of TV recordings and so I need 2 units, with this unit, I lost Thief of FX, Lost on ABC, Heist, Criminal Minds, CSI, Alias, Invasion and a lot more shows which I usually watch at my own time
DO NOT BUY!!
