I would recommend this mount to anyone buying a larger LCD. It tilts up/down, swivels left/right, and can pull away from the way effortlessly! I have mine set-up in my great room and this unit works great as when you are watching from the couch, you can tilt it down and when you are across the room in the kitchen or bar area, you can pull it out, swivel it to the left, and tilt it back... so you can see it from anywhere you might be in the room!
It does stick out from the wall about 4-5 inches when fully pushed in, but that can be expected if you want the swivel and extension features. I was leary of the included mounting bolts so I invest in some harden ones from the local hardware store. It pays to shop around as this unit was almost $200 cheaper at Amazon (plus shipped for free!!)as compared to BB and CC.

The mount itself is great, but do yourself a favor and dont use the lag screws that came with the unit. I put two of them into my wall and both snapped in half during the install. I had to pay HD a visit and purchase 4 new lag screws as I didnt trust the remaining hardware. The new screws worked fine. I dont think it was my install that snapped the screws as the new ones went in without a hitch.

Have a 50" Samsung Plasma on this mount and it works like its suppose to. Installation is not for the novice DIY. I built a shadow box in the wall and anchored the mount into both wood studs and brick. It looks and performs great. I have no worries about the plasma falling from this mount. It moves side to side effortlessly, your need a little more effort if you want to tilt it (screws). Im happy with the purchase as it meet all my expectations.

Amazons price is great and their delivery very timely. Once this mount is up and installed, it is fabulous -- well engineered, excellent manufacturing, very "tweakable" for leveling and ease of movement -- a solid mount for my new Pio 5010. So why not 5 Stars?
Amazon ships the product (which is quite heavy) in the products original packaging (no outer box). When mine arrived, the carton had been heavily taped with clear packaging tape. Upon opening the box -- no documentation/manual of any kind. Went to Sanus website and fortunately the product documentation was available for download -- downloaded and printed the manual. First section of the manual is a parts listing, which given the state of the carton, I cross-checked against the major components. To my disappointment (but not surprise) 2 MAJOR parts were not present. The manual pleads you to contact Sanus for parts, instead of returning the product to the dealer, so the next morning I dutifully called CS at Sanus to see about getting the missing parts. Parts were to be sent out that day -- expedited. Unfortunately, the parts were sent out "ground" and took 6 days to arrive.
When speaking to CS rep at Sanus, I was advised that the 2 bags of small parts (bolts, washers, etc) were all that were shipped with the major components. As I had received both bags intact and factory sealed I believed once the major components arrived I would be all set. WRONG!
As a previous reviewer has noted the retaining bolts for the restrictor/preventor plate were no where to be found in the 2 small parts bags. Again, contacted Sanus and was told the bolts were out-of-stock. Sanus has evidently made a "business decision" to knowingly send out this product without these parts. While the exact parts were not locally available (6mm cylinder head Allen bolts), I was able to find a hex-head bolt at Lowes that works OK.
Summary: While the supply chain failed to perform to expectations, I am VERY pleased with the mount itself. Amazon, the weight of this mount exceeds the cartons capacity to be used as a "shipper" (consider using an outer shipping box). Sanus, shame on you for KNOWINGLY selling a product without all its parts -- the marketplace will punish you for your error in judgement.

Purchased a Sanus Articulating HDTV Mount for TVs 30" to 50". Had a problem in assembly. My Toshiba 42" TV mount holes on the TV itself were too close together to fit the mount easily. It took great pains to get the mount to fit on the TV, but this was finally accomplished with great effort. This mount is not designed to TVs with mount holes on the TV only 8" apart. Once the mount was finally assembled and installed on the wall, it worked excellently. Recommend anyone considering this mount to be sure the mount holes on the TV are at least 10" to 12" or more apart and it sould work wonderfully.

Easy and straight forward to put together and mount on the wall. This bracket is well built and the fit and finsh are excellent. However, If you are looking for a bracket that helps with cable management this is not it. But, its a great general purpose bracket at a good price point.

A very sturdy and easy to reposition TV mount system. Installation was relatively easy and proceded without any major problems. Correct installation to wall studs is essential for safety and protection from damage. I found that the hardest part was lifting the TV to the wall mount was the most difficult of all steps since the TV itself was awkward and heavy and it was being mounted above shoulder level.

I am using this on a 46" lcd tv and have used toggle screws on metal studs to successfully hang this heavy mount. great product. sticks out 3" but it still looks good.

I was a bit nervous at choosing this mount, as it is advertised for 30" to 50". However, it worked very well for hanging my 52" Toshiba REGZA LCD. While the TV weighs in at 100 lbs., the wall plate mates rock-solidly with the arm and the bracket on the back of the TV. All aspects of this mount are heavy duty, so you dont have to worry about this unit. The real concern would be if you didnt have two wall studs that your could lag into. Thats really the weakest link in the system.

I was offered this very same mount when I bought my plasma at a retailer for over $600. When I saw this I jumped on it but thought it may not be as strong and durable but that wasnt the case. This is the exact same one. Easy to install, sturdy, convenient and way cheaper than elsewhere. I love it and am very happy with this purchase!

Great Mount. Easy instructions and all the pieces in the box were clearly labeled and corresponded to the instructions. I mounted it in 3 careful hours which includes adjusting it and a short trip to hardware store for bolts that were a little longer. Sanus Customer Service on the phone was prompt and helpful and recommended the new bolts since my 37" LG would easily accept more threads and I was uncomfortable with the shorter threaded bolts that were supplied.
Oh - this mount is easily double the price at all the major electronic stores. I bought online and saved over $200!

Product is well built, yet was disappointing. The documentation supplied by the manufacturer claims it can be mounted on walls with studs spaced up to 24" apart. However, the wall bracket is only 18" wide. Contacting the manufacturer resulted in being told that the product manual is incorrect and they do not offer a 24" wall bracket for that model. I would have to return the entire (very heavy) unit on my dime and pay almost another $100 for a different model.
I chose to fabricate an extension myself at a cost of $15 worth of steel that works fine but looks a bit hokey as seen when the TV is extended from the wall.

The product worked just like it was advertised. It was fairly easy to put together and came with all necessary hardware. One difficulty was finding studs, which are a must. But I have wood paneled walls and was putting the frame in a corner, so thats just my experience. The arm nicely holds my 42" Vizio in place on a diagonal in the corner of my den. No need to move it around for me, so I cant comment on that aspect.

I am using this mount for a 46" LCD TV that we need to rotate almost 90 degrees left or right. It works great for that!
I found the instructions to be well written (with the exception of a couple of typos) and I loved the fact that Sanus provided all of the fasteners (including cable ties) that you might possible need - regardless of your specific TV. Each of the various types of fasteners are contained in clearly labeled individual plastic bags. Nicely done.
All in all, I am very happy with this item. It is clean looking and attractive and Im very confident that my TV wont fall off of the wall.
Now for the warning. Like another reviewer, I found that the lag bolts which were supplied to attach the mount to the studs were very weak. I twisted one off after applying only a moderate amount of torgue. I simply substituted lag bolts from the local hardware store (non-Chinese) and finished the installation.

We bought this mount for our 40-in Samsung TV. The assembly was not bad. However, the screws were not labelled and it can get confusion when you are trying to match the right screws to your TV. In addition, we found that some of the screws were missing...
Overall, not a bad mount consider the pricing is reasonable (for >$250. The mount felt solid, but a bit heavy.

30" To 50" Articulating Flat Panel Mount This mount cost less than half the price in stores. It is a fully articulating mount that holds up to 130 lbs. Very easy to install, two finger movement of the TV, and adjustments for level, plumb, side to side, and tilt.
The only concern was that it is held up by 4- 3" lag screws into 2 different studs. I crafted additional brackets on either side to sink 8 more lag screws into the wall. Could not have asked for more at this price.

This wall mount is excellent and I would otherwise give it a 5-Star rating except for the fact that the mounting bolts provided to attach the assembly to the wall were not strong enough to support my television. I was mounting a 50" Panasonic Plasma TV with a weight of approximately 80 lbs, well below the advertised limit for this mount. When we set the televison on the assembly to complete the installation one of the top bolts snapped off at the head. A second bolt snapped off at the head while it was being tightened down but that may have been from too much torque. Fortunately I was being assisted by a friend who is a professional handyman who pointed out that the bolts are threaded all the way up to the head which weakens them at the point that is supporting the most weight. The solution? We substituted the bolts that came with this model and instead used tempered bolts one-inch longer with the top inch unthreaded for added strength. We also drilled additional holes in the top part of the bracket so there are 4 bolts at the top and two at the bottom instead of one at each corner. While this may have been overkill we were taking no chances at this point having seen two bolts snap already. Overall I have no complaints about the functionality of this wall mount and recommend it highly. I would just urge caution if you are mounting a large and heavy set as I do not believe the original bolts can bear the weight load as advertised for this product.

This wall mount is good value at Amazon even compared to what you can buy at Wal-Mart. It is solid and well made. It is holding up my Sony 40inch Bravia very well and the mount allows easy movement of the TV set forward and lateral. It is easy to install (two person lift) although my set was missing two (non-critical) screws which SANUS provided within a weeks time after calling their customer service. However, as usual (this is my second wall mounting experience), the machine screws provided to attach the mount to your TV only comes in two lengths. As with my other TV (Olevia), neither length fits flush on one side of the TV. The only solution is to add a lot of washers (not enough provided) to the long size screw to secure the problem side. I dont understand why manufacturers simply dont provide three length sizes accordingly since Im sure they are aware of the screw sizes these TV sets require.

This was the first time I purchased something from amazon and it was a great experience. I saw this stand at best buy and circuit city for $399.00 and I was surprised to find it here for $225.00. It was real easy to install and I am so happy that we can move it right and left and in and out. If anyone has a 42" or bigger flat panel this would be a great purchase. It is strong and durable. It was great not to have to pay shipping. We received it in three days. I am so happy with this product and the amazing service from amazon.

This is a strong unit. I have a sharp 46d92u. It weighs in at just 100 lbs or so. This wall unit is heavy as well. It is well constructed. Instructions are a little veg. Pictures do not tell you that you do not need to line up exactly. The 2 piece outward arm folds in both directions. It took about 30-40 minutes to install. Measuring where the holes need to be in regards to the studs took most of the time. Do not over tighten the lag screws. The screws will bust off at the head. They are not high grade bolts. My only complaint. To turn left or right is easy to do with just one finger. To extend outward takes more of an effort. This is well worth the money and I would buy it again.

The Sanus VMAA18S is a very quality product. I am very pleased with the stability it has in supporting a 46" TV. Articulates perfectly and assembly is relatively easy. If my TV were too heavy I think my wall would give out before this thing - it is solid.

Used this for mounting a Sony 46" LCD flat screen to the wall inside a built in bookcase. I needed a mount with the ability to get the TV out far enough from the bookcase so it didnt overheat. Had the installation done professionally and that cost more than the mount. They thought it was a great product and easy to install. The mount is very strong, overkill for my set. I have no doubt it can easily support the 80 pound weight of the set even with the arm fully extended. Good flexibility in the arm to move the set to face different angles. I wish Amazon had carried it in a darker finish (its manufactured) but the Amazon price beat everyone else and I got it fast.

By no means is this a weak mount. It is strong and solid. Unfortunately, it wasnt the best for my new plasma (Panasonic TH-42PZ700U) The bottom bar does not fit as the back of the plasma bends out a bit. I then tried to use the spacers that were provided, but when I used those, the screws were too short to attach to the plasma. I finally went to a home depot and bought a couple of 3/16" nuts as spacers. This allowed enough clearance for the bottom bar and they were not too long as spacers. After I got the bars in place, the rest of the installation was seamless.

I bought this Swivel wall mount for my 40" LCD TV since I wanted to mount in the corner of my wall to cover both Living Room and Dinning Room. Indeed, it does really very well job by moving left and right and upside down.

The mount is easy to install and use. It must be fastened to two studs but the TV, once mounted, does not have to be centered between the studs. One sub-assembly is mounted to the wall and the other is fastened to the back of the TV. Then the TV assembly is hung onto the wall assembly and tightened down. My wife and I had no problem hanging the TV onto the wall assembly. It is surprisingly easy to reposition the heavy 42" plasma TV left-right and up-down once it is mounted.

This is a great mount and the price from Amazon is about $150 - $200 cheaper than I could find anywhere else. I was able to mount a 40" tv with another person in about 20 minutes. The hardest part was figuring how to get the stand off my tv. It comes with hardware to fit most tvs and is extremely easy to setup.

This mount is very good for the money. It is heavy, sturdy and very versatile in its mobility. Mounting it took about two hours and an extra set of hands. This included unpacking everything, sorting through parts, and placing the wall plate up. Make sure you use a level before drilling holes. There is a very small tolerance to shift it before tightening the lag bolts. Overall, it is easy to move around and doesnt wobble or feel loose.
I only had two problems. Although Sanuss website says it this mount works for the Panasonic TH-42PX60U, it isnt quite accurate. Panasonic recommends the OMNIMOUNTs and I see why. The placement of the inputs on the back of the TV make it hard to pull out and plug in certain RCA connectors because of where the bottom support bar lines up across the back. Yes, you can adjust the mount to a higher setting, but keep in mind that you have less of the TV supported at its center when tilting the TV and it may cause some stress on the structure. I didnt want to find out. My paranoia after spending $1400 on a TV. When using the spacers, the long M8 bolts provided dont reach the TV threads. I had to go to Home Depot to find bolts that where about a 1/2" to 3/4" longer to use the spacers. This allowed for some space to move plugs if required.
On a seperate point, the product was shipped in its original box, which was pretty beat up and taped with 3 pieces of clear packing tape. The items inside were in their bags, but pretty scratched up. Cant tell if it was from the shipping, but the product had a used look and I paid for new. I guess they could have reboxed it a little better. The slight design problem with my specific model TV is a Sanus problem. Remember to confirm what accessories have been test fitted with your TV through the TV manufacturer and not just the mount website. 4 stars for the overall experience. The mount itself earns 5 stars.

I initially purchased a vertical tilt only mount at Best Buy, at the same time as I bought my 42 flat panel TV, but returned it when I realized I could order this on Amazon, same price and full motion, better looking.
The instructions were remarkably easy to follow, and we mounted the TV in about one hour (it takes two people), without any glitches except at the end :make sure you remove the stand that might come attached on the TV BEFORE you screw the mount in. We made that mistake and had to take it apart after the TV was attached to the wall WITH the stand, and we realized the mounts frame was covering the access to the stands screws. But even that was relatively easy to fix.
I highly recommend this mount, and its a good deal for the price!

This wall mount is very functional. Great swivel/tilt & mounting options. We were trying to fit our plasma into a tight corner & traditional stands/mounts did not work for us. First and foremost you cant beat the price. It costs about $200 more in the stores and if you want them to install it thats about another $400. The mount itself is very high quality, packaging was clean, instructions are in plain English and comes with various types of fittings for different kinds of flat panels. After assembly the T.V. bracket and installing the wall bracket into the studs(making sure it was level) all I needed was my husbands strength to lift the T.V. up on the wall bracket and tightening a few nuts and bolts it was set! This wall mount comes with every conceivable nuts and bolts you will need. Our new LCD T.V. looks amazing up on the wall and the best part is with a touch you can move it out from the wall and swivel it from left to right and up or down! Love it!

When I ordered this for our 42" Plasma TV to mount over our fireplace I was worried that it would be too flimsy to hold our 97 pound TV..But once I received it all my fears were gone...this is a super heavy duty TV mount and is heavy, like 30 pounds. It connected to our TV perfect and once we mounted the TV to the wall it works like it said it would. I have no worries that our TV will fall off the wall. This brand was also stated in our TVs Manuel as a mount we could use. Anyway..to make a long story short..this is a super great mount..and the price was great too...as these sell for $350-$400 in our local stores.

The mount was very easy to install, it had every screw included in the kit that you might need. After installing the Bracket to the Wall, I Mounted the Bracket to the Back of the Set 42" LCD, Once that is done the next step is to lift the set onto the wall bracket - This requires 2 people, I think this would be imposible by yourself. After hanging on the wall Tighten the security screws or the set will tip a few degree left and right as you pivet the set.

This was a great wall mount for my 37 inch LCD TV. The instructions where very clear and easy to follow, it folds back to about 3 inches and is center in the wall when retracted or extended out to its max length of 19 inches. If youre looking for an articulating mount this is the one to buy. The best part was the price, $224.00 Dollars from Amazon verses 399.99 from Best Buy.

This is a very heavy duty mount. I installed it in about an hour. A stud finder is a must. Once I found the (16" apart) studs, it wasnt hard to put up the mount. One person can do it, but 2 would have been better. The wall portion must be attached at the studs, however the TV portion of the bracket can slide approximately 12" back and forth so you can center the TV over a piece of furniture or between windows etc.
I found similar mounts at CC / BB for 50 to 100% more. I would recommend this mount to friends or if the need arrose buy another.

After looking tirelessly on the internet for swivel mounts, I landed on this mount which was only reviewed by one user. Usually thats not enough for me to hang my hat on, but I took a chance. As has been the case with Amazon these last couple of years, the price and free shipping was too good to pass up. Best Buy locally stocks this mount for $350 plus tax, so you can see how good of a deal this is here. Now for the mount, its well built at about 30 pounds. The main swing arm is aluminum, with the rest of the components heavier steel. This universal system installed flawlessly in about 15 minutes after I anchored the main wall plate. I took my sweet time on the wall plate assuring myself of an excellent hold and position. The rest was quick. Lifting my 50 inch plasma at 90 pounds with the 30 pound mount was a slight chore, but you easily hang the swing arm (with TV) over the wall plate. Its so easy to turn the TV now and I have a slight tilt downward to square the viewing angle. This thing is great. I would highly recommend it. Be sure to visit the manufactures web site to confirm your TV model works with the mount.

I did a good deal of research before I chose this mount. I was not disappointed! With help from my 11 year old son, we had no problem assembling and mounting this puppy. The lag bolts are more than adequate for mounting to the wall. Final mounting is solid, and the articulating arm and screen-tilt feature make this ultimately flexible for viewing from anywhere in the room. I mounted this in a corner, and get plenty of clearance for maneuverability. Recommended this mount to a buddy...he ordered it and is very happy with it.

I love the flexibility of Sanus brackets. They work great on most any TV and they have the best mounting bracket that mounts to the wall. Other manufacturers only work if your TV centers on a perfect stud space or they do not give adequate room to bring wiring/electrical through. This bracket is very flexible for wiring and the screw holes go all the way across; not just at both ends. Just be sure you can get two studs lined up with this bracket or at least a stud on one side and a set of heavy-duty toggle bolts on the other.
My only complaint (as with every other bracket out there) is that there is no easy way for proper wire management. It comes with plastic eyeholes that fit in either top or bottom of the arm so you tie-strap your wires to the bracket which is a nice idea; but unless your just using only composite video and the power cord, forget about trying to get the bracket managable to easily pull out and push back in the TV. I just trimmed my wires to the lenth the bracket would be fully extended and left enough to loop down to the inputs. Then I tie-strapped the wires to the bottom bar just above the inputs.
