Works just like advertised. Well built, received product in just 48 hours, quality A-1. If you need an outside antenna for your Sirius you couldnt ask for more and at a very reasonable price.
Superb Strong Signal Solution     On: 2008-06-06

I finally got tired of non-100% reception after two years. I initially started out with my old Dot Micro indoors, then soon after moved to the "pie plate" method (to supposedly increase the "ground plane" to help with reception). After about a year of having to move it back and forth every few hours I moved it outside. Unfortunately the only practically reachable part of the roof faces the wrong direction. This improved signal some but it would still waiver often and cut out enough to still be annoying.

I recently located a somewhat accessible part of the roof with a pipe that would provide a much better view of the sky, so I went ahead and sprung for this antenna and an extension cable. It was a bit of an adventure doing the install (mainly the making sure not to fall off part), but in the end it has definitely been worth it. I have yet to see the signal strength meter waiver one single time off of 100%.

This antenna appears to be rather well hardened against the elements. People have reported problems over time with the Dot Micro so Im glad to not be relying on that anymore.
Great 4 outdoors     On: 2008-04-07

We used our antenna that came with the sirius boombox and it would lose signal. We used it at a hangar while we would do maintenance. since I bought this antenna its been great jamming out at work.
WOW - What a Difference !!!     On: 2008-03-05

Bought this for my new home stereo receiver that has Sirius on it. This item has worked perfectly. I have had NO signal loss at all. My wife and I each have Sirius plug & plays in our cars as well as the boombox. You always seem to lose your signal from time to time with the antenna that is included with the boombox (mostly during indoor use). So i decided to go with this outdoor antenna for the new receiver and Im glad I did. Installion was simple. I attached it with the included hardware to my satellite dish and ran cable antenna (with extension kit) to my Sirius Connect Tuner.

My set up is as follows: "Sirius Home Outdoor Antenna" connected to "Sirius Single Cable Antenna Extension Kit" which is connected to "Sirius SCH1 Connect Tuner" which in turn is connected to home stereo receiver.

I have been very happy with all my products made by Directed Electronics and would recommend all.

A Must For Home Use     On: 2007-05-13

Sirius was being optimistic with its antenna that comes with their home kit. Aiming it became a ritual; aim it towards the couch (perfect signal) then drop outs two hours later. Then aim it at the TV (perfect signal, then drop outs again). Repeat above.

Replaced that antenna with this roof top model. Then excellent reception, all day, all the time. Worth every penny. I mounted it on an old sat antenna pole and used the sat combiner/splitter kit (Sirius brand, Monster has one identical) to make use of the existing sat cable. No new wiring! It will work with the new 5 LNB DirecTV dish wiring to boot.

GREAT!!!     On: 2007-05-07

Wish I had purchased this a lot sooner!! I now get 100% uninterrupted listening, unlike with the antenna that came with my boombox which often lost signal while in the house.
Specifications from the user manual     On: 2007-04-04

I just received my antenna, and while I havent yet installed it, so far I am pretty impressed. It seems to be sturdily built and includes all the hardware youll need to mount to a mast, or directly on the side of a house or the roof itself (sealant or caulk is advised for roof mounting). Ill return here and update or add another review once Ive had a chance to test it. For now, Ill post the specifications from the manual, since they arent part of the product description.

A More Sirius Antenna     On: 2007-01-10

This antenna improved reception indoors and out. The small antenna included with the radio and boom box lost the signal easily due to trees- there are a lot here and more out camping. Although not perfect, it is a great improvement over the standard antenna.
