summary: For the price, this camera is great. Its great for the casual or beginning photographer.
Pros: VERY small. Optical zoom. Video Recording is nice (about 30 minutes per 1GB at 640x480, about 1.5 hours at 320x240) and it has a built-in microphone.
Cons: low battery life. LCD screen has no protective cover. Cant use any zoom function while recording video. Fine detail is a little fuzzy.

Lets put it this way...if this camera had "canon," "sony," or "casio" printed on it it would be selling for $250. This camera has a big LCD, very nice video recording, small compact size, and good photo quality.

I bought one of these and it quit working after a few uses. Specifically, the ability to transfer photos from the camera to my computer stopped working. I tried it on 3 different computers with the same (lack of) results. The company did not respond to my emails requesting warranty service. After further checking, I discovered that the company DOES NOT WARRANT their products to retail purchasers. Giving this item a 1 star rating misrepresents it as better than it is, but that is the minimun that Amazon allowed me to choose. I am sorry that I bought anything made by Emprex, and will not make the same mistake in the future.
