I bought this TV at Video Only for $925 on 12/15/06 (best price going anywhere that I could find), and am very pleased. I pretty much think that CNETs review is right on for how it performs. Its got great detail, seemingly true color, and nice features--all that fit the needs of my 15 x 30 living room. There are more than adequate inputs, and though the remotes clunky, its easy to setup and tweak settings to fit the room/lighting. Im also happy with the sound, since I do not plan to connect it to a theater system any time soon--the TVs sound captures all but the very lowest rumble of bass (I compared in the store, knowing I would not be using a theater system, and this TVs sound won hands down). As for drawbacks, again read the CNET review. Theyre minor for an HDTV in this price range--for me, the blacks are fine with adequate detail, and the "styling" of the silver TV case (with matte black screen frame, which is important) is subtle, which fits in well in the 1913 "craftsman" house I live in. All and all, Im quite happy.
