Im satisfied with this product. I have bought this product in summer 2006 thats more than a year ago and I cant get enough of it!!! It is excellent!

Seemed like a very fine camera until we discovered the UGLY truth. A Google search reveals Canon is/was the subject of a class action suit for this very problem.
Any interference with the action of the zoom lens renders the camera inoperable. It must be returned to Canon for repairs. To their credit, they did repair our camera no charge in about 2-3 weeks. If I had known this product was a fragile as an empty eggshell, I would have never purchased it. Caveat emptor, or "we reserve the right to take advantage of the weak, the stupid, and the ignorant. If you want trust...buy a dog"

For a beginner like me at this digital thing - it was a great deal and nice to have it all in one package. I had everything there and it was easier for me to figure out. the pictures are wonderful and the camera is easy to use. the kit has everything you could need to take pictures and take care of your camera. I am very happy with the camera and the prompt service I recieved.

I typically do not write reviews. However, this camera is so great that I had to let others know about it! I did countless hours of research and finally decided to go with the Canon A620. I could not be happier. The quality of pictures on this camera beats my old Canon Rebel SLR hands-down. We just returned from a vacation and EVERYONE who looks at the pictures asks the same thing - What kind of camera is this? The pictures are great. The pictures look like postcards! The quality of these pictures looks even better than 7.1 mp. If you are looking for a great, easy to use camera shop no further. Purchase this camera now!

If u r looking for a camera that can take quick photos and videos , especially at night , this is ur best bet.
The night mode feature with this cam is excellent - Ive seen friends of mine struggling with their sonys to capture a decent unblurred image at night , with no luck ---- while i just clicked away with the A620...
the rotatory display feature is most convenient to use especially when ur travelling alone.
Also with the lil accessories that come along with it - especially the mini tripod stand , u can set the timer and click away , without having to beg others to take a pic.
Resoution is fantastic - even when u watch it on full screen TV/comp.
At max resolution u will get about 12 pics with a 32 MB card - but of course u can adjust the resolution.
Batteries that come along are amazing and u could take a whole days (50 pics with flash )pics without having to worry about the battery running out.
did i mention - fantastic shutter speed - the person in front of the lens doesnt have to continue to pose a few seconds after the click as with other digi cams.
The negative:
->a bit bulky - as in cant fit into ur trouser pocket.

I bought this camera due to a number of reviews about it being good at taking action shots. I totally agree! Ive had it out on the boats a number of times and everything looks great. I have had a couple of problems, but only when I accidentially turn the mode knob. Im still learning about all of the features, but so far I couldnt be happier!

I just received my Canon Powershot A620. I was very excited and anxious waiting for it. There was no let down on this one, everything I had read about it was true. The pictures are clear and ease of function is great. I shopped hard to pick the best camera for the most economical price and everytime I would see rave reviews it would be for this camera. I am very pleased and having a great time taking pictures!!

I bought this camera as a second camera for our vacation to the Grand Canyon. The camera performed exceptionally. The picture quality is unbelievable. I store photos from both cameras on my laptop and it is very easy to distinguish which pictures are from the new camera.
The only concern that I have with this camera is that it must be held very still to get a good photo. Pictures from moving vehicles or those quickly taken do not come out at all.
The auto flash is a little flaky, but this problem may be operator error on my part in not taking the time to really study the manuals. Overall this is very good camera at a very good price.

I really dont know why William G. Oxenfeld ("shotsy") gave only one star to this item after praising it that much... specially since the item is GREAT!!
I strongly recommend getting the lens/filter set they sell on the same shop, and youll be on your way to take great pictures, this kit is a great value, the camera is one of the best values in the market right now...no wonder why its been running for weeks as #1 on Amazon camera sales!

This camera is great, it zooms, it remembers, it changes image colors. A Igig sd card is huge, a 2gig card would be something else. I bought this new with a 1gb KIT, which in essence offers everything from SDCard to bag, to tripod to rechargable battery system, and it uses AAs not some $100 battery. The focal plane is something like 1/3 of an inch to infinity. I recommend this camera highly. Happy Photographing!
