The TV works great in all aspects except one. There is a fiberoptic audio output port which works fine when the TV is in "digital" mode. It does not operate in analog which causes me some grief as I have it hooked to my sound system and I have to use the TV speakers when in analog. Some of that is probably due to the fact that I am tryng to get a TIVO the TV and my AV receiver DVD player and VCR to all "play nice" together. I think if I were to subscribe to an HDTV service I could get around that problem. As it is I can receive a good many digital channels on Comcast at my present level of service (non digital). My only other gripe is the treatment the unit got in shipping. Came via Roadway Freight and I very nearly turned it down because of external damage to the carton. I took a big chance and accepted delivery but I sure hope they find another shipper as the roadway deliverey man handled it like a sack of spuds.

I received delivery of this television four weeks ago. It arrived by truck on the day promised, and the driver unpacked and placed it on my stand. The picture quality and sound are exceptionally good. There is a substantial cost savings by purchasing this television here. There are two models of this television with the same model numbers. One is all black and the other one is black with a silver speaker cover. The latter one cost slightly more, and is the one I purchased.

TV delivered by Eagle within promised arrival dates. Easy set up done by me, swapping out with HD cable box, following instructions. Excellent reception for first couple of days, then over weekend, crackle and popping started on sound. On all channels and very annoying and cause for concern. On Monday it went away to my relief. Nothing done to attempt to eliminate. No further problems. Enjoying watching Tar Heel basketball in clearest picture.
Any one else experience similar sound problem or know cause?
