Ive been using my XTi for a week, and so far so good ( perhaps i shoud say excellent). Both Sigma lenses are good choices, and gives a a wide variety of options. The included battery charges very fast. About the 53" Deluxe Camera Tripod, i must say its a low quality one, specially due its plastic assembly in some parts.
Beside that, all the electronic equipment is pretty good.

This camera can be very user friendly! The built-in menu selections are very easy to apply and/or change with the photo conditions. Quick changes for changing conditions allows for getting your shot while you can.

the first camera I received had a problem with pixelation - all the pictures I took had grids of red and blue dots throughout the pictures. The seller told me to call the manufacturer; the manufcturer told me to return the camera to the seller; I did and promptly they sent me a replacement camera that has worked well. my son had recently bought another Canon camera and had exactly the same problem - makes you wonder about the inspection process. But the camera works well and is very easy to learn to use. The battery recharges very quickly
