The iPod Dock is good, but has a few flaws. For example, I noticed that sometimes the iPod may not make contact with it, so you have to make sure its pushed in all the way, but even then, sometimes you have to unplug it and try again. Also, you cant put an iPod on there if it has a skin and/or cover on it; youd have to take it/them off in order to do so. Otherwise, it keeps the iPod standing up and charges it at the same time, so thats an upside. On: 2007-06-21
It is what the advertisement says. Its a solid stand that has a rubber pad to keep it from moving around. The ipod nano fits perfect as long as you dont have a cover on your ipod nano. The price is higher than I expect for an ipod nano stand, but you need to pay a premium since Apple makes the stand. You can get a cheaper one from another company, but it wont be made by Apple and may not have the same fit with your ipod nano. On: 2007-05-23
My friend gave me a 2nd generation iPod Nano. She was the Apple fanatic and I the Windows worshipper. Yet, I thought now would be a good opportunity to actually experience the iPod mania that tremendously boosted Apples reputation. I had no idea that the dock would have to be bought seperately and I thought it came with the iPod Nano. But Ive heard that the Nano has to be very well taken care of to last more than its one year life expectancy. A dock certainly is a goodidea as it not only keeps you iPod safe but it also recharges it. Like all Apples out-of-the-box experience, the dock is neatly packed and comes with a warranty and a manual. Thats it. All cords needed will be the ones that came with the Nano: the USB cord and the recharge-wire (Also, the Nano cannot be interacted while its on the dock unless you eject it from the machine. This is because it would be syncing music or photos and would interfere with the process). Apple has also been considerate and put in a line at the back (beside the recharge port). You can choose to plug in your headphones or your speaker set (the ones with the similar outlet), but be warned. I had a deafening experience last night as I inserted my headphone cord into this line. Volume is on high and it cannot be changed (I tried the volume setting on the iPod. iTunes, and the overall volume on my laptop)! So I had to listen to my music blaring out of plugged-in headphones which I set on my desk. I could hear the music, almost fine. I recommend the speakers that are inserted into this line have a volume knob on them, because the music coming out will really be ridiculously loud. This was the only problem I really experienced with the dock. But it really adds a nice touch-up to the desk, especially if you own an Apple computer or laptop like the MacBook! On: 2007-05-12
I bought this dock, mostly to plug the ipod into my speakers, but the sound quality is awful, besides you cant control the volume from the ipod. On: 2007-03-19
This Apple iPod Dock is very small & convenient, and is especially great for traveling. It DOES NOT come with a plug-in outlet charger, so youll need to purchase that separately if you wish to charge your iPod without connecting it to your computer. I purchased one for a couple of bucks, and it (along with the dock) works great. On: 2007-03-18

It might seem (to some) a useless piece; yet it is a must have. I know my Ipod is plugged at all times, it makes it easier for me to view my ipod when it is not flat somewhere on my desk, but upright and visible.
Also, believe it or not...When I plugged my earphones to the dock, the sound is even more sharp and louder. On: 2007-02-09
I have an iPod nano 2nd generation, and this iPod dock sounded great because I knew it was compatible. I wanted to have a place on the computer desk to set it while it charged or loaded songs. The main selling point for me was that you dont have to reach behind the computer to plug it in. But I foolishly didnt consider that that was the case anyway with the cord that came with the iPod. The dock also interferes with my rubber cover that I have on my iPod. The only redeemable quality is that it has an audio out port to connect to external speakers. Other than that, I wasted my money. This came and was exactly what I expected, in the time I expected, and everything works great. Service is good, product is good, all is well. I just wonder how you get this to work with a remote... On: 2007-02-02

I have owned Apple iPod docks before and this one is basically the same but it only fits the 2nd Gen Nanos. It is somewhat difficult to remove the iPod from the dock because it locks in there pretty good. Its very small, about 1/3 the size of of the Universal Dock. I recommend this if you connect your Nano to a stereo system but if you just plan on using it for charinging or connecting to a computer then it is somewhat useless. I would actually recommend the Apple Universal iPod Dock over this one because it is only slightly more expensive and it can be used for every iPod model (with included dock adapters). On: 2007-01-09
