I never received the correct item ordered. I received two different, incorrect ones and could never receive any contact from whom I was trying to make the purchase. I eventually received a refund through the Amazon. On: 2008-11-19
I bought this for my 10 year old granddaughter. She is very happy with it. I liked this shape better than then the newer version. On: 2008-11-19
I love my i-pod! The one I initially got wouldnt hold a charge and I called customer service. They were GREAT. I have never had better customer service. 2 days later I had a replacement i-pod. I have had it now for over a year and think it is the greatest thing ever. I put alarms in it so I never miss an appointment while listening. On: 2008-11-18
I bought my ipod with all the money i earned for Christmas. It started out working beautifully. I was in love :) Then a few months after I bought it, it would just shut down on me. I would charge it overnight, sometimes even 2 days and it would shut down after 10 minutes. It really made me mad. I deleted all of my pictures and videos to see if that would help. It didnt.
I love this ipod except for the battery. If you have patience, you should get it. If you love throwing things across the room when the dont work...stay away from the nano. On: 2008-11-17
I like the new design of this iPod. Lots of great new features. I wish there was an off switch versus holding down the play button.

Bought this for my daughter. Worked perfectly out of the box. As with most electronic items it freezes now and then but if you pull the earphones out it immediately unfreezes.
All in all worth buying at the price I paid. On: 2008-11-16
I absolutely love this Ipod. Got one for a gift last Christmas and now I am giving one to someone else this Christmas. Battery lasts so long and it is so small and light. The newer ones, I am told, needs to be recharged more. So many accessories too for it. Very easy to use as I was a 1st time Ipod user. On: 2008-11-16
What can I say, but G R E A T !!!!!. My Daughter is now a "Happy Camper". And "Amazon" was much cheaper than any place else that I looked. If you cant find it anywhere, then go "AMAZON". :):) On: 2008-11-14
I love it, though I wanted to buy an 8G one, I finally decided to buy this one and Im inlove with it. Now I wanna buy the new 14G On: 2008-11-14
Love the idea, love the looks, and we bought two. We cant figure out how to download anything onto them. We wasted our money. Weve even had help and were stuck. Wish we hadnt bought them.......... On: 2008-11-14
This is an excellent piece of tech. It is loaded with innovative options and fantastic ideas. With its unbeatable quality and responsiveness, it is definitely worth its price and more. On: 2008-11-11
Were an Apple family so youll understand why I like most if not all of Apples products, but let me tell you this, When I see the smile on my daughters face it means the world to me. The Ipod nano brings her that smile. I couldnt possibly ask for more.
Technical side: Its an Apple, so youd expect I high quality and a reliable technology. Screen resolution is high enough to be easy on the eyes and the menu dial works like a turn wheel so you can navigate menus smoothly.
Dont waste your money with anything else. Ive been an Apple user since 97 and it never failed me ever. On: 2008-11-11
The product itself works well - no complaints. It is not obvious from the instructions how to set it up. I think it stinks that it does not come with a case. I paid $119 for the IPod and then I had to buy a case for another $35. This is stupid and cheap on the companys part. Who uses this thing without a protective case? I use this while I am running and at the gym. On: 2008-11-11
This was a purchase that my daughter saved up for months to buy. She was pleasantly surprised that the i-pod arrived earlier than expected. She has enjoyed her i-pod nano, and has since been given an i-home dock for it. Thanks for your great service, Amazon! On: 2008-11-11
Apple iPod nano 8 GB Black (3rd Generation) I purchased this for my grandsons 12th birthday. He had been very specific in the model that he wanted and is extremely happy with it. I was delighted to find it at this great price. Thanks again Amazon.com On: 2008-11-10
There are several issues that I have with this ipod. First, the earphone
that were provided does not stay stay attached to the ipod ( too loose in
the socket ). Then the control wheels are difficult to use. Finally,
the ipod turns itself on with the slightest pressure when I have in my purse so that the battery drains out without my knowledge. I think that it would be better to have a on/off switch. Since this is the first ipod I have, I am disappointed with the design and quality of it. My kids
have the 2nd generation ipod and they say that is better than the 3rd
generation. On: 2008-11-10
I could not live without this, photos to show of my family, music videos that I love, music that sounds wonderful. Pod casts of everything that everyone seems to be producing. Being so small and having so many features makes it perfect for keeping it on your person all the time. I almost dont wont a Ipod touch, but I might just give in. On: 2008-11-07
Im not sure why Ipod Nano is changing back to the elongated version, while more streamlined it seems less handy. My family has 3 of these 3rd generation nanos and we love them!! Great for loads of music, movies and pics. My daughter is hardly ever without hers: when were in the car, waiting in dr. offices, in her room getting ready for school...I expect my son will love this one, too! I asked him if he wanted one like his sisters and mine or the new one and he said, "Ew, who would want that funny shaped one?!?" We dont get it... On: 2008-11-07
I was at the mall the other day listening to my Walkman that Ive had since 1989 and I heard about the latest gadget called and iPod so I checked it out at this electronics store. This iPod is a terrible invention!
The interface is impossible to use and the sound quality is terrible. [Who uses mp3s anyways?] I immediately took the headphones off and put my Walkman back on and walked out of the store!
For good sound quality, affordability, and for anyone who knows ANYTHING about music stick with Casettes. On: 2008-11-03
I was impressed with the delivery time since there are many Amazon stores that do not delivered to Puerto Rico, and some times it takes more than two week to get here. I recommend these vendor to any one. On: 2008-11-03
I got the 3rd Gen nano in January of Febuary of 2007, and have loved it so far, however A few days ago I turned it on to discover 1/3 of the pixels on the screen died, making everything illegible. I went to the Apple store and they gave me a brand new one, so thats totally fine.
I am not fond of the Cover flow or that you cant turn off the cover art while listening to music.
I love the long battery life- I had a 18 hour airplane layover experience and I watched a movie and listened to music for a good 16 hours of it, amazing considering my gen 1 lasted 7 hours TOPS.
All in all I love it, the click wheel took come getting used to but its still a fabulous piece of engineering. Cheers Apple! On: 2008-11-03
this is a nice ipod, although discontinued, I still like it more compare to the new nano. For me, this is a good collectible item. On: 2008-10-31
I must admit I have really regrets.because the sounds quality is reberkable worse than iriver h10 which I had already, and people who had an iriver before:"Dont buy ipod" Its a disappointment about sound quality
,pod is for the people who will simply listen to music and it just looks fancy and nice to feel with you,but not for the improved and experienced listeners. On: 2008-10-31
When my wife lost her ipod in our move I was afraid that we didnt have the money to replace it. This was a great deal and was delivered promptly. Of course my concern was the condition it might be in but it was perfect. Its nice to deal with a fair seller. On: 2008-10-30
I bought this ipod for my grandson for xmas. I think he will think it is awesome. I bought 2 from you last year for 2 other grandkids and they like them very much. On: 2008-10-30
This Ipod was for my son. He had had two other MP3 players and had trouble with both of them. The Ipod works easily and makes it easy for him to handle it by himself. I will continue buying Apple products. On: 2008-10-30
Apple iPod nano 8 GB Black (3rd Generation) Easier to get started than I feared (not being an expert with computer music stuff). Have lots loaded and have tried it out several times - the real test is WILL IT GET ME TO EXERCISE!!!! I know thats not its purpose, but it was my purpose in buying it. Also to use up all those wonderful Pepsi points I had accumulated - I am very pleased so far! On: 2008-10-30
Great product. Cheap (compared to past prices). Would hihgly recommend. Great interface, product was brand new (not refurbished). Thumbs up! On: 2008-10-28
Love this iPod. I bought this for my husband (I already have the 8G), and he loves it. It plays video, and the 4G is plenty of memory for him. On: 2008-10-27
Great experience. It was bought as a late present for my daughters birthday and had to use the 2 day delivery but it got here right on time and she loved it. thank you. On: 2008-10-27
I bought this iPod after my iPod classic got wet and stopped working. I love this iPod, the battery life is extensive. I listen to mine at work every day for almost 8 hrs a day and sometimes at the gym afterward for another hour and I only have to charge maybe every 3 days or so. I love the coverflow design and screen resolution is superb. Apple makes some wonderful high quality products. I strongly recommend this one. On: 2008-10-26
I was disappointed with the 2 "cheaper" Mp3 players I had previously purchased. So I decided to try the IPod Nano 3rd gen 8GB after some research on the web. Happy to say I made the right decision! To be able to play videos, podcasts, audible files and music is amazing. Cover flow is great too. Several of my albums did not have album art on iTunes so I just searched for the album online and copy and pasted the picture to iTunes- Viola! In fact I changed some of my own album covers to a picture I liked better- just by copying and pasting it into iTunes.
Couple of tips- you might want to check out the website called "ilounge" since it has TONS of information about iPods. They recommend installing iTunes while waiting for your iPod to arrive. This is what I did and it was very helpful to learn how iTunes works before I received my iPod. I also was able to add my CD music collection, download podcasts, add videos and have this all ready and waiting for when I received my iPod.
By chance I had an extra plastic badge cover ( a work ID badge cover -the vertical type with the loop on the top) and my iPod nano fit into this clear plastic sleeve perfectly.

The 8GB is perfect for my song collection and purchasing of additional songs. I like the Silver color, but its not as important as the ease of use and portability. On: 2008-10-24
Purchased this iPod Nano as a gift for my wife. As her music collection is drastically smaller than mine, I opted for the 4GB version. I could have purchased the 8GB 4G version for nearly the same price (and choice of color) but took a chance that she would prefer the shape of the 3G and I was right. Operation is identical to my 80GB classic and it uses the same data cable & docking connector. Has the same scratch-attracting polished back as my classic, so I purchased an "InCase" (goincase.com) protective cover for it which fits perfectly. Unit is very compact and holds a respectable amount of music ripped at 160kbps. Screen is bright and graphics are crisp. Incidentally, I gave my wife the option of exchanging the 3G for the 4G and she declined because of the shape. On: 2008-10-24
I actually bought this for my wife. It works great. It looks nice, and is very high tech. I had a little trouble figuring out how to load the music onto the Ipod, but, that is just me. :} On: 2008-10-24
I have the shuffle, and an iPhone, but I love the Nano for its screen that the shuffle doesnt have and for its small, lightweight size, which makes the iPhone a bother when out jogging. Ive also downloaded some TV shows and watched them on the Nano - well, more like listened to them. The interface is intuitive and easy to use, way better than some of the other devices I bought and actually took back. Im thrilled with my purchase. I like the square size as opposed to the long, skinny size of the newer Nanos.Apple iPod nano 8 GB Black (3rd Generation) On: 2008-10-20
I am pleased with this product and received it in good time and condition. On: 2008-10-20
I ordered this iPod for a friend of mine recently and I am till date tempted to eat this thing up. Super small and super dooper cute. Functioning wise, though I have not tried it as yet am sure it would do just as good as any other Apple product. Ill try and put in a commment to this review as i use it or hear from my friend after i give it to him.
Watvr, I just love this!!! On: 2008-10-18
Ive read alot of the negative reviews on here but I would say the good has been far more than any bad. I love my Ipod. On: 2008-10-16
I bought this as gift for my husband to take back to Iraq. Before he left, he was never without the IPOD. He put all kinds of stuff on it and there is still more room!
Thanks for the wonderful product! On: 2008-10-15
the best price around for the ever popular ipod! My son loves it! the video quality is nice and crisp! On: 2008-10-14
Good product, good buying experience. Great service and on time delivery. Will buy again from this vendor. On: 2008-10-13
Never again will I oreder from this seller. The IPOD came without a charger, without an ITUNES cd, and without an owners manual. When I called the seller, they did nothing to correct this and seemed not to care. I wish I couldve given them zero stars. On: 2008-10-11
First, Ill say I believe this - the third generation Nano - which was released in Sept. 07 - is the best designed Nano as far as functionality over the new 4th gen Nano. In MY opinion. The new 4th gen is nice, BUT, you have to turn it sideways to watch video. May not be a big deal to many/most, but what if you want to play a video while its docked?? You cant - until/unless they come out with a sideways dock. And if youve already spent good money on a dock and enjoy watching video while your pods docked in it, the 4th generation Nano will not make you happy. Thats my comment/complaint there. I DO like that the new one has increased capacity. Every year they add more space to these pods.
Now, the 3 things you all MUST know about iPods are:
1. New model iPods come out EVERY year in September. Know this when you purchase; its a fact. Apple ISNT ripping anyone off, theyre improving and keeping up with technology and competition. Thats why there are new model cars every year, folks. Pretty basic. You dont say, What the fudge - I just bought a 2007 Corvette, and now my buddy says theres a 2008 - Ive been tricked! SAME concept here.
2. Also, theres a price scheme to these Nanos. For example. This years model is:
8GB =$149.99, 16GB = $199.99. Next years models will POSSIBLY/likely be:
16GB = $149.99, 32GB = $199.99, and so on as the years go on. Now, this is NOT guaranteed, but it seems to be Apples trend for pricing. Something to consider. In short, if you want the latest, greatest Nano at the best price and highest (eg. 16GB) storage and its August, WAIT till September.
3. Cheap earbuds/speakers = BAD sound! ALL iPods/iPhones come with standard earbuds that are uncomfortable and of poor sound quality. Youre not getting ripped off, just think of them as a bonus over no earbuds at all. IF you want GREAT sound AND GREAT fit, you MUST plan to spend at LEAST $40. on a decent set of earphones or headphones, folks. The iPods themselves are only HALF of what makes them sound good. The included white earbuds should be regarded as throw-away. OK? So dont whine about poor sound if youre using the included buds. Its the same as a stereo receiver. If you spend $800 on a Denon receiver and then go cheap on the speakers, guess what - BAD sound, folks. Just KNOW this going into your purchases and youll do sooooo much better. You wouldnt think a Toyota Yaris engine would make a Corvette scream down the highway and you SHOULDNT expect lousy earbuds/headphones/speakers to make your music soar. Right? Right! Enjoy! :) On: 2008-10-10
Well, this is my first Ipod and I love it. It is small enough to use for the gym and the screen is big enough to enjoy videos/movies/etc. The sound is very good and the features are great. I love the coverflow, its so easy to use and makes it easy to identify the artists. I mostly use it for the audio, but I have used the video as well and I am very impressed. I would recomend this Ipod to anyone who wants to enjoy their music on the run. On: 2008-10-09
I was extremely pleased with my purchase. Great value - super quick shipping - an exceptional value for the product purchased. On: 2008-10-09
I got this nano a while after my old mini died. It works great! The quality is good, as always, and its really quite cute and small, even if I worry that Ill snap it in half someday, haha. To protect your iPod I suggest you get a plastic cover thing for it, they really help--I really dont like to get my iPod smudged or scratched.
The only thing that may be a bit annoying is that the battery seems to die easily...maybe its because its color, or its just my particular iPod, but the battery power tends to go out a bit faster than my old mini...other than that, its great! On: 2008-10-09
My ipod nano is everything I had hoped for.I shopped and read lots of reviews, for months, before I finally decided I had to have it. I am, however dissapointed with the free shipping from Amazon. I had never spent enough to get free shipping before. I was excited to finally afford my Nano but had to wait two weeks [ one week before the seller even shipped it] to recieve it. So much for getting excited about a new purchase and saving money on shipping. That is way too long!!! Ms. Bonnie On: 2008-10-09
I saved for a very long time to buy this iPod. Originally I thought I wanted pink but green ended up being cheaper.
While were on colors, I will mention that in the picture, the green looks VERY different from what it actually is. I would describe the actual color as being a almost hunter green, a dark mint.
The sound is PHENOMINAL. Youd think it wouldnt be, coming from a thing that is a mere 3 inches high! The earbuds that come with the iPod have wonderful sound, and even though I have very small ears, they dont hurt as long as you dont push them in far. When I go running, these stay in better than any Ive ever tried! So if youre thinking of buying earbuds before you try these, wait!
The iTunes software is a bit messed up, but its very easy to sync songs (only taking about 30 seconds for 8-10 songs).
The click wheel works perfectly for my small hands, but any bigger hands probably wouldnt be as comfortable as with mine.
To keep the back from getting scratched with general use, I keep the plastic thing from the original box clipped onto my iPod, it works!Especially since I havent gotten around to buying a case for it :-).
When I sync it, I take the plactic thing off (because you cant put the USB cable in when its on), but to keep the back of my iPod from getting scratched from all the dust on my desk, I put it on a towel or washcloth. Battery life: is extraordinary! Ive listened to it for about 5 hours so far, and the battery isnt even halfway used! And it doesnt take very long for it to charge up again when you hook it up to your computer.
Overall, five stars for the product, I love it!
about 4 1/2 stars for iTunes.
This iPod is awesome, buy it! Especially while the price is low ;-)!!!!

Apple iPod nano 8 GB Green (3rd Generation)
My son was very pleased with this ipod as a birthday gift. He even preferred it over the newer version just released. On: 2008-10-06
I purchased this recently for use on a vacation and love it. The earphones, however, hurt after long use, but otherwise its great! On: 2008-10-03
Apple iPod nano 8 GB Black (3rd Generation)
3rd Generation Apple iPod meets my expectations by providing a lot of features in a very small package at a reasonable cost. On: 2008-10-03
The perfect gift. It is practical, stylish, has all the features you would need in a music player and more. On: 2008-10-03
I like it because you can put a lot of songs on it and it is very small and good to handle. Good quality and simple to work with.
On: 2008-10-02
After stupidly losing my other ipod I hesitated before buying another one, concerned about the cost. When I finally did look online for a new one, I found this great deal for a new, fully equipped ipod and Ive been enjoying ever since. On: 2008-10-01
The new one is the same price and way neater! I returned this and got a newer one! On: 2008-09-30
I have e-mailed word wide twice with no response. The item came in an ipod box but the instructions are filled with misspellings and the item doesnt work. I am asking my credit card company to help me get my money back. On: 2008-09-30
I love my new ipod nano! It is helping me get healthier! I go for walks every morning and liston to audio books that I have downloaded. I never get bored while walking now and cant wait to get up and go!
I never used to have time to walk or read, now I accomplish both!!! On: 2008-09-28
I just got my iPod a couple of days ago. I had seen the 4th generations come out over the last couple of weeks and realized quickly I didnt like the changes and didnt want one of those. Ive wanted one like this since my daughter got one last year for Christmas and Ive seen all she can do with it. Itll take me awhile to learn all the features -- Im a bit slow with technology -- but so far Ive been really enjoying the portablility of it and also love the Sudoku game iTunes has for it! Now Ive just got to find the perfect dock for it! On: 2008-09-26
I got this a couple of months ago and its awesome.
Heres why:
- Compact design is very portable
- Flash memory much more durable than a hard drive
- Video capability rocks!
- It does games too (to my surprise)
- Menu layout is intuitive
- Battery life is quite long
While the new 4th gen nanos offer a wider selection of beautiful and vibrant colors, I prefer the shape of the 3G where the screen is above the wheel and you dont have to tilt it to the side to view. Although maybe the 4G would grow on me if I owned it.
The only place where there is room for improvement is: it should be easier to navigate to the clock. Yes, the clock shows up while music is playing and the screen is idle, but there are also times when Im not using the iPod but I just want to glance at it to get the time and it would be nice if I could do this with less menu navigation.
If youre looking for a good case for the 3rd gen nano, I recommend this:
Contour Design Showcase nano V3 (Clear w/ Black Accents)
Some tips:
If you ever experience problems with your iPod nano, first try resetting by holding the center button and menu button down simultaneously for a few seconds. If that doesnt work, try reinstalling the firmware (can be done in iTunes and you should have your media backed up before you do this. Also, best to have the latest version of iTunes). If still having problems, take it to an Apple Store and have it serviced (free if within warranty). Mines been pretty reliable. There was one instance when a firmware update I did caused audio to periodically stop, but I then reinstalled the firmware from scratch and experienced no further problems.
The battery life is good. I only charge it once or twice a week when Im just listening to audio. If you are using it to watch video this will use up the battery much more quickly though. Still, you can get through a couple of movies without needing to recharge.
Also, (as with any iPod) you can rip your DVDs into iPod-playable files using the free third-party app HandBrake. Very cool!
I love this thing and never leave home without it. On: 2008-09-21
The IPOD I oredered from Worldwide Entprises is a complete fake. It was not at all what we ordered at all. There is no way to return or get in touch with this company. Alot of money down the drain. On: 2008-09-20
I bought this product almost the same week it was released and to me it was a great upgrade from my 2nd gen nano. One year later, I was the greeted by a swift kick in my pants when Apple announced they were updating their nano with a longer, sleaker version. I was very upset to say the least. I paid a little over $200 w/ a protection plan and come to see that the 8 GB version of the 4 gen is $50 cheaper than the previous version. So what is so different from this version to the new version. Well, it has the flip thing the touch has and it has a new case design. I plan on keeping this ipod for a long time...or until I run out of space. On: 2008-09-20
I bought this one for my daughter. She is happy with it. Small and easy to pack in the pocket. Sound quality could be a bit better. On: 2008-09-18
From vinyl to 8-track to reel-to-reel, to cassettes, cds and now this. Days of music at my disposal, anywhere, anytime. I love technology! On: 2008-09-18
My only complaint is the gigantic box shipped with the ipod.
The ipod was smaller than i expected, much smaller than the new 4th gen. sound and video playback are excellent. i have it connected to my car stereo and it sounds excellecnt even at full volume. the included headphones suck though. Very nice player i would recommend that you get one, if you can find one lol On: 2008-09-17
I purchased the Apple iPOD NANO 4GB 3RD GENERATION ON 08/17/08
I AM SEVENTY YEARS OLD AND DONT CARE FOR NEW GADGETS BUT THIS iPOD WAS EASY TO SET UP AND I HAVE DOWN LOADED SONGS FROM MY CDS AND PURCHASED SONGS ON LINE AND DOWN LOADED THEM. I REALLY ENJOY THE iPOD. THE SOUND IS VERY GOOD AND IT IS EASY TO CARRY AROUND. On: 2008-09-16
Unlike other MP3 players out there, this ipod (and all others) wont play protected WMA media, which is a lot of media out there.
If you want to play ALL your music or audiobooks, get a Zen or other non-Apple media player. They may not be as stylish and trendy, but they work better and they will cost you less cash.
On: 2008-09-16
i really dont understand all the negative 1 star reviews? This is the best and most lightwieght music player to date. it is perfect for working out or travel and these people writing 1 star reviews have issues. I recommend it to anyone who works out or wants a way to always have their music with them in a portable format - and at 8GB it stores a lot - same as the good iphone. On: 2008-09-14
Of course, everyone knows that whenever you buy an iPod, soon after the geniuses at Apple will unleash another one which is better than yours. Even after seeing the 4th-gen nanos, I still think that this is the best iPod that Apple has made so far. It is basically all of the good things from every other one so far packed into the 3rd-gen nano, which is this one. It is very easy to use, for those of you who arent familiar with iPods. It is very simple, and to the point. The lists of songs, artists, albums, genres, etc. are very organized and in a clear, easy-to-read font. The click wheel, I noticed, is a bit less sensitive than the 1st and 2nd-gen nanos. Unlike the first nanos, this one has the capacity for many types of video such as tv shows, movies and more. And the 8 GB (up to 2,000 songs) is just enough for me. I absolutely love the color blue also. The overall design of it is very appealing, and similar to the iPod classic. The battery life lasts a lot longer, usually about 24 hours when you first get it. One thing that I really like is the search, where you can search for anything on your iPod, like songs or albums. There are also several built-in games, or you could buy more on iTunes. I have had this iPod for almost a year and I am very happy with it. It is very durable, and it was able to hold up for several months until I got a good case for it. I would say to get this iPod if you want a reasonable price, a good amount of media on it, and all the basic features. On: 2008-09-13
I just bought the new ipod nano a few days ago and I LOVE IT!! Works great, easy to use, great size for working out and I havent had any problems with it! so awesome! I cant stop listening to music :) On: 2008-09-13
I bought this Nano to primarily listen to podcasts. When you listen to podcasts you usually, but not always, want to delete them after listening to them either in full or part way through if the podcast is not worth listening to.
The problem is that their isnt a way to delete the podcast tracks until you connect the Nano to a PC. Its an unbelievably bad omission. Here are the problems -
If you listen to the entire track, it will replace it with a later podcast in the series. But if you only listen to a piece of it, for some reason it doesnt.
And, even worse, if you havent listened to it when the next podcast in the series comes out, it will still delete it without you having heard a word!
And heres the worst point... lets say that if you have 20 podcasts on the Nano, the listened to podcast is still available for listening, so if you jump around from track to track, youll keep stumbling over the same podcast until you connect it to a PC.
Apple should have built in a single button delete, so if you hold a button down for a while while a track is playing it will DELETE it and start playing the next.
What was Apple thinking when they designed it? No much. On: 2008-09-13
The 3rd Generation iPod Nano is my third iPod--my first one was a 4G iPod Classic (20GB) and then I got a 2G 2GB iPod shuffle. I have had the 3G iPod Nano for about a year and I love it--I recently got an iPhone 3G but Im still carrying around my Nano because it does one thing really well--it is an excellent mp3 player. The Nano is small, lightweight, and easy to hold in my hand. It is not too bulky to slip into my pocket on the go like my iPhone or my previous iPod classic is. Its also nice that it has a screen (unlike the shuffle) which makes it easier to select music to listen to. And its perfect for someone with a medium sized music collection like me--I can still carry around most of my music without having to worry about running out of space.
I would not recommend the Nano for video viewing or games, because its screen is very small and hard to see. I dont find the click wheel a very satisfying controller for games--the touch screen on an iPod Touch or and iPhone is much more satisfying. But as a music player the Nano is great--I hope to be carrying mine well into the future. On: 2008-09-10
Good enough mp3 player. Everyone else has covered everything. I know this is probably being posted in the wrong place BUT ANYWAYS...
Heres the reason for two stars: Poo Poo on Apple!
I bought the ipod nano 3g 8GB ONE MONTH AGO AND NOW THE PRICE HAS DROPPED 50 DOLLARS! Why? Because they have a new generation of nano out! Wow, dont I feel like a moron! I should have known better (I do take some of the blame). Now I can see what some people have been saying about Apple, Steve Jobs, and love of profits over customer satisfaction. What a crock of feces! I consider it a lesson learned. The next time I will buy from a different company whenever this thing decides to quit on me. Please go with another company so you dont get gouged, too!

I got this for my boss. She is very happy with the quality, shipping and price. Thank you! On: 2008-09-10
The product is great. The ordering process was very easy. And the shipment time was shorter than quoted. I am very content. On: 2008-09-09
I had a shuffle first and wanted to have more space available for songs and to have videos for my step son during long road trips. It works great, battery lasts longer than I thought. I still need to find a case and a fm transmitter that is compatiable. On: 2008-09-09
We bought an Apple iPod Nano Silver with 8 Gb memory for my grandsons 13th birthday. We heard back from him shortly after he opened his gift. He is so happy with it especially the larger memory. He said the quality of sound from such a small package is really great. He said his friends really like it too! Direct quotes.
Happy grandparents who are with it. On: 2008-09-08
I have bought 3 Nanos in the last 2 weeks. First this model with the smaller memory. Less than a week later Apple introduces Generation 4. I was pissy and returned mine and bought the brand new one with double the memory for the same price. Upon opening it I discovered it was far too tall and narrow and felt extremely uncomfortable in my hand and hard to navigate. It got repackaged and returned and I re-purchased a Generation 3 Black Nano with a larger memory at a current reduced price. Guess thats typical of retailers when a new model comes out...Get rid of older stock and make room on the shelves.
I learned a lesson but good. Unless the upgrade is as good as the last one including enough extra features, Ill just stick with what I like and what feels comfortable.
This Ipod is awesome in a nutshell. Far superior in my opinion to the newer thinner, fancy schmancy colored new ones. On: 2008-09-08
Hard to believe I made it to 2008 without having an MP3 player. How did I survive? Dunno. Recently however I got lucky and received a hand-me-down IPod Nano (first generation) from a generous and rich sibling. Unbeknownst to him, the battery had been already lived way beyond its capacity and had failed the first time I turned it on...But now that I was inducted into the MP3 owners society, I quickly drove like a maniac directly to the nearest Apple dealer to purchase this up to date current version. (we dont have a Apple store where I live, probably a good thing.) Now in retrospect, perhaps I was in too much of a hurry. After getting it home, ripping it out of all packing material, and then syncing my music, I realized I had a slight case of buyers remorse.
For one, I bought the smaller memory (4) and wish I splurged for a larger one (8) even if I never filled it all. (only 50 buckaroos more) At least Id have the option. Secondly, I should have researched a variety of new state of the art MP3 players, as many are filled with far more bells and whistles, (FM radio etc), are easier to use, and have larger memories for the same price as the Nano. (149.00 at most big box stores)
Part of my problem is that I have become Mac/Apple dependent and fear any gadget that isnt an Apple, worrying it wont be as compatible with my G5 and software. After being forced to upgrade to the latest version of ITunes or my new Nano would not operate, I noticed some new bugs and glitches on top of the old bugs that really aggravated me. I dislike the fact that I have to load an entire album to Itunes instead of being able to load a song or two to my Ipod. That takes too much time. Also, when I delete songs on the Nano, Itunes was skipping some and deleting some I didnt delete...and each time taking me back to the start of the music page...
But in all fairness, this is a review about the Nano, so let me continue without giving you my rants about Apples software problems.
On a final note, the player is hard to manipulate with the thin silicon cover I purchased . Why doesnt Apple come up with a surface that doesnt scratch so darn easily? Youd think by now theyd realize this metal casing is prone to chipping and scratching. Or is that merely a careful and thought out ploy to get us to buy a new one every year?
But then again, for someone who didnt have a player for all these years, and will be reimbursed by the nice relative for this one, I shouldnt complain so much. At the rate Im going maybe Ill have an IPhone by next year...wishful thinking. On: 2008-09-08
I am thrilled to be able to consolidate all of my CDs on this little device. And now, with the right adapter, to have it all in my car as well. On: 2008-09-08
Two months ago I purchased a third generation ipod nano and have had a most positive experience. The music is clear and the sound is deep. I enjoy the smaller size of the nano, and with a clip case, it can be used with ease at the gym. The nano can play over 2,000 songs, so your music library can be significant. Based on my research, the price for the nano on amazon.com was far better than any store or website. I strongly recommend the ipod nano if you are searching for a new ipod. On: 2008-09-08
This product was picked out by my grandson for his 9th birthday and even though it was a better product then his dad had, (Older unit) we felt that he was old enough for it and with his mothers blessing we ordered it through Amazon.com which provided the best price and simplicity of ordering. The product arrived right on time and my grandson could not be happier... On: 2008-09-07
I love this player :) Nothing bad to say at all.
Only wish it came with bigger space... On: 2008-09-07
I bought this iPod as a gift, as a matter of fact, I have purchased over a dozen of them for gifts, both business and personal. Everyone loves an iPod (or so it seems to me). I bought this one in pink (again, it was for a gift) and even though I am sure that Apple is coming out with a newer one with more memory and probably a lower price I choose this one because:
* It is great for those who run or walk a lot. It fits on an arm-band better that some of the longer and larger models
* The screen is big enough for most purposes. It is good for song info, pictures and ever a short video. For movies I prefer my iTouch with its larger screen
* Price. Even if they come down this one is still a good value
iPods are fun, and this one is even more fun that my iTouch because it is smaller and cute. How many electronic gadgets can you say that about? On: 2008-09-06
Because everybody had them. I always purchased mp3 players that had more memory and longer battery life, but this one beats them all. My bf got this for me as an anniversary present and it is just phenomenal. The screen is small and I dont recommend this device if you intend to watch shows and films. The scroll wheel is smooth and the menu is simple. The sounds is great. Itunes is great because you can download songs, games, podcasts, audio books, films and tv shows. The screen is bright and crisp and you will fall in love with it the minute it lands in your hand. BUY it! If I were ever to lose it or if it were to break down I would quickly replace it. On: 2008-09-06
I totally recommend this ipod...the sound is great as well as the clarity on the screen for my photos... On: 2008-09-05
I bought this for my wifes birthday GIFT and kept it until then, she opened it and used it three times. In less than a month it is now dead and the 30 day return policy has expired. Now having told people about my bad experience, I am hearing similer feedback from others.
MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN.
This is very upsetting because it was NOT cheap, now its broken, the money is gone, I cant return it and she is asking for another one.
NOT A HAPPY CLIENT
UPDATE
Left the Ipod connected to the computer for 2 days, eventually it came back on saying some sort of error and did I want to restore it, i clicked yes and nothing happened, woke up this morning (day 3) and presto it is back on. I guess we will wait and see what heppens next.

Was disappointed in time it took to ship, other than that am very satisfied with the product. Plugged it in to my PC, I am told it is easier on a MAC, and the computer did the rest. I am by no means, a computer adept, but was able to quickly figure out how to load songs onto the ipod. Very happy with the product On: 2008-08-30
This was a great iPod nano -- shipped as promised, in stated condition. Thanks - On: 2008-08-30
small and neat, but i like the previous generation better
this thing is just entirely to small to watch shows on, great for mp3s, bad for people who need glasses and want to watch video on it On: 2008-08-30
what can i say about apples product.iPod nano is one of crispy resolution thats packed on this mini pod.love it! On: 2008-08-29
Great item. When I first got it the screen worked for a second then went into permanent "sleep". I suspect it had been kinda bashed around by UPS. Anyway, after going back and forth w/ customer service, they had me send the item back. They repaired it and reshipped promptly. Ive had no problem since. I appreciated their helpful customer service. On: 2008-08-29
I love this product. I havent had much time to play, but so far Ive uploaded my music and Ive uploaded my favorite podcasts - diggnation and TRS-.

Prior to purchasing my 8 GB iPod, I had a cheap MP3 player. The iPod is so much easier to use. Everything is right at my fingertips. It was a little hard to get used to the wheel at first, but now that I am, I love it. I am very pleased overall with this product. On: 2008-08-28
While I am thrilled with the nano iself, the headphones are incredibly inadequate. The right one fell apart the 2nd week I had the nano and the left is all static.......very disappointed in the headphones, thrilled with the nano. On: 2008-08-27
I am very happy with my purchase. Its small enough to fit in my pocket and not so unweildy that when im commuting on the train carrying a ton of things, its not difficult at all to carry/balance everything so that I can change the song. Originally, I was going to purchase the 4 GB but I felt like I was getting more for my money by getting the 8GB.
Dunno why the headphone port is on the bottom...And I only hope that these IPod headphones last longer than the headphones from my last 20 GB IPod. On: 2008-08-26
My only complaint with the 8G Nano iPod is the earphones. The left one doesnt like to stay in. And to get full sound I have to hold them in place. Ive been researching other types of ear buds and earphones and dont know quite what to do. Meanwhile I LOVE my iPod. On: 2008-08-25
or a Recently Added option, (etc.) like some other mp3 players have? And why doesnt it let you see the details of how large the files are, and what type of song the current song playing is (like a Zen Vision: M has)? The time zone thing doesnt even give me a close enough (and accurate) city so I can get the right time! v_v
Yes, its a nice mp3 player overall, but it was missing some of these things that my Zen Vision: M had and by now, I consider them essentials. Its rather new so I figured that youd at least be able to go to another window to see some of what I complained about in the beginning.
Still, the cover flow feature is very nice (although it takes some time to fill in) and iTunes is a great way to use and put music onto your iPod, which is why I got an iPod in the first place to take place of the Zen that can no longer add anything else to it (its "broken").
Just remember that you have to start your player over, by pressing the menu and middle circle button together for a few seconds to restart it while trying to connect it to put content on or charge it or it will freeze.
Im also gonna say that there is also a problem with cover art showing black sometimes. I dont buy all of my music "fairly", so I use methods like coming to amazon for cover art as a detour. It works most of the time but for instance, theres a total black block in the space where Jesse McCartneys "Departure" album art should be. I have tried using amazons artwork, googles and possibly yahoos but none work! Lastly, I wanna say that Im also highly disappointed that I cant watch music videos right from the get go. A white screen pops up when you pick a video, and says that you need another part. I have a hunch that thats the part thats around 50 bucks, just so you can watch videos. No thank you, Apple. Thanks for screwing me and millions of others!
All in all, if you just want a decent mp3 player, you can put trust in an iPod nano (3rd generation). Is it worth the big 150+ price tag? Not quite but its close.
3.7 stars.
end note: And how come in the options theres a radio option to turn off and on but then you turn it on and in the menu it isnt there? This may be slicker and smaller, but if I was to be forced to choose, Id say that the Zen Vision: M is better (by Creative). And as far as the smallness goes, that hurts more than helps because Ill put it somewhere and forget where it is! Honestly though, I do like the sleek thinness. On: 2008-08-25
This ipod was incompatible with my Mac operating system so I returned it. The seller should state which Mac operating systems these ipods will work with. Overall an unsatisfactory experience. On: 2008-08-24

im pretty happy with the purchase of this ipod, it was a gift and it works really well. On: 2008-08-20
TERRIBLE with Photos.
The ipod (with iTunes) "optimize your photos" taking around 1MB x photo, even at the 320x200 resolution.
I have a lot of digital photos. I have a folder with my original photos (around 15GB) and a folder with the all the photos reduced to 320 x 200 jpg resolution (around 450MB = 0.45 GB). When I syncronize, the photos take 7.10 GB of the space, leaving very little space for music/videos/etc.
Why if the photos are about 32 Kb each Apple has to "optimize" to 1MB (1024 Kb) ???
For the rest its a nice piece. Its small, solid and nice. Good for music (the iTunes is the same crap and can be seen as regular only if you are familiar with)
Hope you find this usefull On: 2008-08-19
The nano is fine and performs just as it was intended to perform. The only problem that I have with it is the trouble with having to run everything back through I-Tunes. I have my music on several computers in the house and my office which causes a bit of a problem. The iPod nano must be registered and synced to ONE computer only. this is a hassle. This is a built in safety feature to deter the unit from being stolen and used by someone else but after purchasing this, I think I would have rather stayed away from the proprietary Apple product and stuck with something that didnt have to convert every other music format through their web site. On: 2008-08-19
I love the cool look. It worked ok. But way too costly for me. It would be better if it were half price! On: 2008-08-18
I love the Nano for its size, features, and myriad of accessories. One thing I still wish it would add is AM/FM radio, but Apple doesnt seem likely to do this. The video capabilities are neat although the screen is too small to watch for very long. The nano is great as a workout companion though it is sometimes difficult to adjust the volume while on a run. Overall, I do like the nano very much and the I-tunes app, but the competing products are getting better and better. On: 2008-08-18
What a great product! Easy to use and very easy to download songs. Perfect fit for my pocket! Everything is self-explanitory and its cute too! LOL! On: 2008-08-13

This is the third iPod Nano we bought. One for my mother-in-law, one for my 9 year old daughter who loves to listen to music and watch videos and one for me to listen to music while walking. This has an excellent picture for watching videos, easy to use for those individuals that are not to technologically advanced and a great size that fits into pockets easily. On: 2008-08-04
At first I was hesitant about buying this product, but it turns out that this ipod was worth every penny! The shipping is free, the quality is great, and its much cheaper then buying it from the Apple store. On: 2008-08-04
excellent product. I have only started to use the many capabilities of this player, but am excited about all the others. So far so good! On: 2008-08-03
I BOUGHT THIS IPOD FOR MY 14 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND SHE LOVED IT. THE SERVICE WAS FAST AND THE WHOLE TRANSACTION WENT SMOOTH. THANKS AMAZON! On: 2008-08-02
Excellent buy, fast delivery. On products details does not mention it brings earphones and USB cable though, but it does.
After I bought this one, I realized that for $60 more I could have got the classic 30G one, but I do like the fact of its size. Classics are way to big for my taste, so if you like a video ipod of an actual portable size, this is the choice for you. On: 2008-08-01
Very bad customer service, even after sending the defected product. I got the semi-defective product; after calling to the vendors customer care, they behaved badly, and said if I will send the product back I have to pay for the shipping (with insurance), and even though they will not replace the product. It shows, first send the defective product and then instead of apologizing for sending the bad product, behave bad with the customer.

Im from Peru and I dont have any trouble with amazon.com.
Im very happy!! On: 2008-07-29
I got this product for my wife and she was thrilled with it! It even had a engraving at the back with a special note. Since we use the gym quite regularly , a great item to buy with this product is theBelkin Neoprene Sports Armband for iPod nano 3G (Black/Gray) arm band. Works great!
The iPod is sleek and sexy but please be careful since it is quite thin. I have not tried to snap it or put pressure on it, but I always treat it delicately. On: 2008-07-28
The 8G Nano is great! It is so easy to use! I am new to all things Apple and Im glad I made the purchase. I also bought a new MacBook recently and I love Apples ease of use! The Nano has great sound and a very clear picture! This is a great value for what you get! On: 2008-07-28
What can I say, Apple designs most of its products quite well; nice appearance with pragmatic functionality...and the iPod is no exception.
I have seen quite a few other MP3 players (my brother owns a Zen Micro), but none seem to match up to the iPod. I think what impresses me most are the extras: calendar, contacts, games, alarm, stopwatch, etc. The only difficult thing is picking the color!
I definitely recommend going with the 8 GB model - might as well, considering the price difference. You may also want to consider an alternate pair of earbuds or headphones. As others have noted, the pair that come with the iPod might not fit very well. This is one area where Apple really needs to look at design/functionality with something that comes in the box.
Other than that, if youre concerned about potential damage/scratches, I would order a sleeve at the same time, and put it on right away. On: 2008-07-28
After my wife broke her Ipod shuffle, we started looking for an upgrade. After a bit of poking around, we found an excellent deal on a new Ipod nano. Do not pay full price from Apple or any other retailer. Do a little shopping around and you are sure to find a better price. Highly recommend getting some kind of case for it as well. On: 2008-07-27
I love my iPod Nano. It plays all my music and have had no problem with the music and photo portions.
The only problem I have is getting it to stop when I am searching for a song, photo, etc. I rented a movie from iTunes to watch on a flight I was going to take. When I tried to access the movie somehow it had 2 choices....Delete or Cancel...........tried to get it on the cancel tab and Pfft, the movie was deleted..........Maybe its just me and I need a little more practice. Otherwise, I have no problem with it.

hi, i live in california, and i got an ipod nano. as i said in the title, it is almost to sleek. from my opinion, it is a very smart choice, however, it has very little memory, 8 gigs. if i wanted an ipod, id get the touch. i didnt get the touch because my dad thought it would be to complicated for me. so, although i wanted to get the touch, the nano is a great alternative. thanks steve jobbs!Apple iPod touch 16 GB without Software Updates On: 2008-07-23
The nano 3 is a fantastic device. It is easy to operate & navigate. I have enjoyed this product so much that I purchased one for my wife. On: 2008-07-22
This is not my first mp3 player and Im much happier with this one than the last. I like the features on it, like viewing video podcasts and the controls (especially the screen lock). Sound quality is very clear and the volume control allows a wide range. The games are really fun. Since theres a small screen, the movies and music videos are very small, but they do play well. Wireless syncing and bluetooth would be huge improvements. The Notes and Calendar would be better if you could create/update them on the nano, instead of only syncing them from your computer. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, because the battery doesnt last very long and it could use some additional features. Overall, the 3rd gen nano is a great value and fun to own. On: 2008-07-21

why is the black nano more expensive than the other 8 gb nanos? i dont get that. does the color make it that much more valuable? On: 2008-07-19
This is my first iPod, and I love it. The size is perfect, the sound quality is great, and it was easy to learn to use. Its exactly what I was looking for. On: 2008-07-18
I already own a 2nd generation 4G iPod Nano, and so when the 3rd generation model offered twice the capacity of the older one, I naturally wanted it. Despite the new models many new features, (games, Calendar, playing videos, etc) it has some problems that you should be aware of before making the decision to purchase it:
* You can not transfer the music you have in your old iPod into the new one. You have to move them one by one from your iTunes library into the new one.
* The new iPod makes a ticking sound whenever you press it which can become very annoying.
* My iPods control pad seems so sensitive that when the iPod is playing while I am driving, the sound volume slightly keeps changing and what makes it worse is the fact that it keeps making that annoying ticking sound.
* As many people have pointed out, sometimes iTunes seems to be having difficulty recognizing the new iPod. This renders your new iPod useless if it happens to you.
Finally, the Apple website does not seem to be of much help when it comes to dealing with any of these problems. Despite my many attempts I could not find an e-mail address that I could send my questions to! Shame on you Apple.

I have been wanting one of these for a while and it was definitely worth the wait. I love it. On: 2008-07-17
The delivery time was most satisfactory. I am pleased with the condition of the package when it arrived.
I think it would have been nice if Apple would have included a short operation booklet with their iPod Nano so that a first time user would have some knowledge of how to use the iPod. Also what optional items are offered to use with the iPod. On: 2008-07-17
Great product purchased at a reasonableprice and delivered quickly. It is easy to sync and use,and well worht the extra money over the 2nd gen nano. On: 2008-07-16
The fact that Apple does not include a charger is disappointing and the fact that it does not warn about it dismaying. Using it may be intuitive only for those under 13. In two ipods I bought, I inadvertently checked for Chinese language and I still did not figure out how to get back to English: the instructions on the Apple webpage are useless. The screen goes blank much too fast, before one can see what is what. I love the size and the music quality but I will think twice before I buy another Apple product. On: 2008-07-15
I love my little green IPod. I have lots of space (for me) and I have plenty of room for the music I love. Im not crazy about earbuds but I wont buy anything else until I can get bluetooth for it. Not even sure it can accomodate bluetooth. On: 2008-07-15
I lost my original nano and didnt think I was going to like the new version to replace it. I was wrong. It was smaller than I expected and the video feature is pretty cool, even though I wont use it much.
Overall, I really like it and would recommend it to anyone looking for something small and compact. On: 2008-07-14
I love music tooo much, I am listening everywhere and anytime - at home, at the office, in the streets etc... iPod Nano is really nice thing, its design is amazing, dimension is just wonderful, its menu is quite easy to use but I am giving the 2 stars and not more... So why? this is a good question...
First of all I dont like the soft - iTune - for storing music files in to the player. It is too confusing to use...
If I compare this player to the NW-HD5 from SONY which I am using for 3 years (Purchased at amazon.com - here is the link http://www.amazon.com/Sony-NW-HD5-Network-Walkman-Digital/dp/B0009GUE06/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1216062276&sr=8-1 ) I can easylly say that the software for this player is much more better and easier to use... I am storing songs and albums with a one click, without any playsists, just drag and drop and clicking one button.
The second issue is with player itself... sometimes when I connect it to the PC iPod crashes and buttons are inactive. You cant do anything until battery goes down and the player turns off. This is really big and very uncomfortable issue. And again, if I compare to the NW-HD5 can say following - Yes sometimes this player crashes too, but you can fix this easy, just remove the battery and player will restart and continue working normally, on iPod you are powerless.
Also I dont like that I cannt remove battery, If I could I would buy an extra one and would forgot abaut its lifetime when outdoor... again my old SONY NW-HD5 allows me to do so and I have purchessed an extra battery and I am so happy...
So if you would like to buy a realy lovely thing with many features (calendar, games, video playback, Picture viewer etc...) you can choose iPod Nano, but if you enjoy listening for wonderful music then go for SONYs products. On: 2008-07-14

I recently bought my iPod Nano, and instantly loved it. That is until I plugged it into my computer. Ive heard this can hold 10,000 or 1,000 songs. Yet my iPod only transfers 809 of my songs and NO videos/TV shows/Music Videos. Im very disappointed with my purchase. Ive also heard theres a glitch in the iPod that doesnt let you use all of your GBs. Im not sure, but if thats the case, then Apple is getting a call today. I shouldve bought the 8 GB for 50 dollars more. On: 2008-07-13

I havent had time to use it yet, but am pleased and hope to enjoy it soon. My kids tell me it is very to easy to use. I hope so. On: 2008-07-12
This item is fantastic. The battery life is long lasting and the storage is surprisingly big for such a small space. Colorful screen is very bright, but is a bit small for comfortably watching any movies. The quality is amazing nonetheless. On: 2008-07-10
We purchased the Apple iPod nano for my son. He was able to load songs he already had on the computer onto the iPod, but has been unable to load songs he purchases from iTunes onto the iPod. No one has been able to figure out what is causing this problem, including the iPod help folks. This has been very frustrating for everyone in the family. The problem may not be the fault of the iPod itself, but we have been unable to determine whether it is or it isnt. We would not purchase another iPod for this reason. On: 2008-07-10
I really like this nano!!! The size is perfect for easy going...!!! It looks so great!!! I really love it!!!

I got this as a birthday present for my boyfriend. He hasnt stopped raving about it. He keeps telling me that it is the "best birthday present EVER!" On: 2008-07-09
Apple iPod nano 4 GB Silver (3rd Generation)
I have purchased a total of three iPods from Amazon and I am extremely happy with product and Amazon Services. On: 2008-07-08
This has been a great purchase. I have not had any problems with this item and it arrived in a timely manner in great condition On: 2008-07-07
Great price on what appears to be a never before used nano-It came as promised and I would recommend this to anyone. On: 2008-07-07
Product was as represented. Did not come with any cords, which perhaps should have been specified, but other than that-was as advertised. On: 2008-07-07
The product came in excellent conditions. The new generation of Ipod works perfectly.
I recommend this product very much! On: 2008-07-06
This is my first iPod because previously I didnt need one. I wasnt which one to buy but the nano 3g was the one because:
- it is small
- has enough storage space
- compatible with nike+
- i can put it in my pocket
My music collection is around 20GB but there are a lot of songs that I dont like anymore so 8GB is enough for music + podcasts. Currently I am only using like 2GB.
The screen size and quality is just perfect. On: 2008-07-06
This is my first experience using an iPod. We have a son who designs the top of the line earphones for the iPods. It is through his interests for us that we purchased a Nano iPod. I am 80 yrs old and love using this equipment in my woodshop. I cant say enough good about the whole system. The earphones are the very best and the Nano is great. My advice to seniors, get help from your children and grandchildren, as I have done, get to understand and appreciate the wonders of the new technologies out there today. My wife is a tole painter and loves to listen to the equipment as well. The ear phones are made by Klipsch and they are the "greatest". Marvin Blanchard. On: 2008-07-06
I love the 3rd gen. Its so much better than the 2nd gen. This one plays videos and the screen is much bigger. Everything is much better! On: 2008-07-05
This is my second ipod..we have a shuffle first but the nano is the best. With the color screen and storage for pictures and games..the nano is practical, fun and entertaining! On: 2008-07-04
The Ipod Nano is the best option for the Music Lovers, its aesy to carry up, anywhere you go.
With the new Ipod Nano you can have all your music in your pocket
On: 2008-07-03
What can anyone say about iPods. They are simply perfect in every way and the new nanos are no exception. On: 2008-07-02
I have had several other MP3 players but never had an Apple iPod before. I couldnt be happier with the Nano. The sound quality is wonderful and it is very easy to use. I would highly recommend the Apple IPod Nano. On: 2008-07-01
Whats to say that hasnt already been said. Great product and AMAZON has the best price Ive found so far. Love my new IPOD! On: 2008-07-01
I couldnt be happier with this purchase! The nano is compact with enough power to fit my needs. A great price for such a powerful little gadget. On: 2008-06-30
I purchased two of these for my husband and I to enjoy at the gym. I Love the size and it is really easy to figure out! In retrospect I wish I would have payed the extra $50 to upgrade to the 8GB. Not to mention, it would have been nice to get different colors. I would have liked to have seen an option for more than just the silver. Maybe one of these days, they will come out with a trade up program.. =) On: 2008-06-30
I love my Ipod Nano in Pink. I received it very quickly. I mainly purchased when I am walking in the park for exercise. My only wish was that it came with a manual/user guide. Had to inquire online which was very time consuming.
On: 2008-06-29
I love this Nano. Updated great Ipod features with Video and and Awesome battery life. On: 2008-06-29
We are very happy with the i-pod. It is in very good shape and works wonderfully. We are using it for autistic son who loves videos. We were able to transfer a number of his movies onto the i-pod for him to watch while we are out in the community.
Easy transaction, and we received it in a timely manner.
Thanks! On: 2008-06-28
My daughter loves this green nano, her birthday gift.
But it broke in 2 weeks, before her real birthday date.
Amazon responded very quickly and sent out another new one for replacement. Thanks a lot. On: 2008-06-27
The iPod died about an hour after we started using it. The screen froze and normal reset methods didnt work. Eventually, the battery drained and it wouldnt charge again.
Fortunately, Amazons return/exchange program worked extremely well. We got the replacement in a few days and have had no problems since. On: 2008-06-27
This turned out to be the perfect gift for an active 16 year-old who loves music almost as much as her cell phone!! On: 2008-06-27
I bought this as a replacement for the last generation nano and I have to say Im a little disappointed.
I use it almost exclusively for running and it has some serious drawbacks.
The hold toggle is tiny -- cant use it when running. If you dont flip it over though the volume and other functions will get pushed.
The stopwatch will stop working if you unplug the headphones for a couple minutes (actually the whole unit turns off).
I know -- I could get a shuffle. But I like having a screen.
I preferred the last generation device. On: 2008-06-27
I love my Ipod Nano. I loaded all of our music CDs into it and I bought a FM charger transmitter to connect to my car radio and my home stereo system. I bought some music on the web and I am going to check out the library for more music to load into it. It holds 2000 songs. It is amazing that this tiny device holds so much music (and movies/videos too). I sit around Borders and listen to music, drink coffee and read magazines. On: 2008-06-27
this ipod is great i have yet to have any problems and i am glad i got it On: 2008-06-26
I am very pleased with this iPod nano 8 GB!! The sound is incredible!!
A Very Happy Lady on this end :) On: 2008-06-26
+excellent sound quality
+convenient speakers
+able to hold lots of music
+great features to search for songs in many ways
+nice extras, like games, calculator, and time
+very sleek
+great screen and ability to fast forward or remind in a song (a feature not in the primitive iPods)
-great compatability with iTunes
-included case could be more useful, as in it wouldve been nice if you could listen to the music while in the case.
-due to its small size,
-flawed simply due to iTunes being crappy. On: 2008-06-26
I ordered this product and got it in a timely fashion and received everything that I paid for. This is a good seller and i recommend them to anyone. On: 2008-06-26
This is really great product. My 8 year old son already owns one Ipod nano. I bought this as a gift to my brother in law in India. He loves it. Apple products have the best technology in the world. I have a Zune 30GB. Zune is nowhere near to this product. ITunes application is so easy. Zune application is too difficult to handle.
Overall I recommend this. Its better to spend little more money on a product which beats other similar products by a mile. On: 2008-06-25
My boyfriend bought this pink 8gb nano for my birthday. He ordered it from apple online store though because he wanted the engraving. It is such a sweet gift. I loved it when I first saw it. It works so well too. music, videos, podcast, games. Now I download podcast dutch lessons, and I can learn dutch through my ipod. Its cool.
The only thing I dont like about is the backside of the nano, so easily to get fingerprint and looks dirty. but I put film protector on the screen, back and the wheel. and also use a case to protect it. Another thing is I think this nano is not designed for guys since its so small esp. the wheel. The body is shorter than the 2nd gen. too which makes it harder to hold. But anyway, if you like ipod nano, you wont care. :) Overall, its just awesome!:) On: 2008-06-25
I dont know how much I really need an ipod to do, but this does it all with only a fraction of the size of the other larger ipods. It works well, but there are other mp3 players just as good for less. On: 2008-06-24
Love my new iPod. Its become an extension. Great for downloading audio books as well as music. On: 2008-06-24
I love my nano. Only thing my first one had to send back because did not work right. It was great to return item no hassles very easy. Second one is great. Only problem the screen has a little place on it that is not clear. Carol Tressler On: 2008-06-23
this is a great product! I got it for my mom and she LOVES it, plus it is so easy to use! On: 2008-06-23
I never received the Ipod Nano I ordered. The vendor never responded to my e-mails or those of Amazon. Amazon was of little assistance in getting my money back. Buyers, keep your records to help with your credit card company in stopping payment. It will be a while before I purchase through Amazon again. On: 2008-06-22
user friendly and buttons work properly, the screen has never frozen on me, only bad thing is the ear phones that come with it are pretty crappy, they didnt fit in my ear and i had to buy some better ones. On: 2008-06-21
This ipod nano 3G only support iTunes7.6.
And iTunes7.6 requre windows XP or vista.
It means, ipod nano 3G require windows XP or vista.
I am using windows 2000 , So I need to buy windows XP to use ipod.
I wouldnt notice this before getting ipod.
On: 2008-06-21
My son loves his, and hes been happy with it for 7 months now.
Benefits:
- LCD screen, compact device
Drawbacks:
- battery not user-replacable
- REQUIRES iTunes 7
What will happen when the non-user-replaceable battery dies?
It seems like these all the iPods are destined for disposal because of course, something "new and improved" will be available then.
On: 2008-06-21
My family has the following ipod formats.....the original mini.....the original nano...and the newer 30 Gb Video and now the 3rd generation 8GB nano. All are still in working order amd all still look like the day I bought them........Apple just gets better and my wallet just gets getting lighter............but at the end og the day.....happy family and products that deliver as promised everyday any day ....all day......quality that is rare these days ...for sure. Buy the new nano..........you will not be disappointed On: 2008-06-20
This is the first iPod that I ever buy. Its very cute and works really well. The packaging is very nicely done in an elegant white box inside of which are the headphones.
The iPod is easy to use and sync music with if youve done this kind of thing before, but there are manuals to be downloaded online for anything that you need.
One thing though, the iPod nano is extremely slim and I would not recommend that clumsy people who drop things a lot buy it, because I borrowed a friends iPod before and the screen went bust because it got a minor shock, while i was driving. On: 2008-06-19
This was part of my puchase for my husbands Fathers Day gift. The man loves music and I have never made a better purchase for Fathers day. I bought this and the Bose Sound Dock. He was so excited and will get plenty of use out of it. We absolutely love it! On: 2008-06-18
This was given as a gift to me for Mothers Day, and what a great gift it is! The video is clear, and so much smoother than I expected. The capacity is huge! I have several movies loaded, and all my favorite music. Its small enough to take everywhere with me. Im eating my words of only a few years ago when my sons got their iPods. I love this Nano! On: 2008-06-18
Fantastic. Enough memory for me and excellent sound. I did find the provided ear pieces uncomfortable. I matched the unit to a Sony set ($39.95 from Amazon) and it was worlds better on my ears.
My Grandson son said it was "scary" that Grandparents were getting Ipods!!
Maybe a new market for Apple? On: 2008-06-17
As a replacement for an older iPod with a standard hard drive, the Nano is perfect. I use it mostly for holding background music for work and books on tape borrowed from the library. Its perfect for that. The sounds is terrific and I can easily feed sound to my automobiles cassette adaptor for in-car playing. The controls are intuitive, the screen color is great and the display of album covers is fun. No drawbacks to the device itself; it has played flawlessly (except for some skips on one audio book CD, which seemed related to the CD and not the iPod (knock on wood!). The device itself is light and very thin and easily fits my shirt pocket. Gotta fight the temptation to set it down and lose it! The flash drive, with no moving parts, will (we hope) make the device long-lived and durable. At less than $150, the price was right as well. If I had a few more bucks, I would have sprung for the 8GB model, but the 4GB model still holds plenty of albums and several audio books as well. With luck, it will last longer than my previous iPod, which had warranteeable battery problems, then died of unnatural causes, giving the Apple folks (damn them!) an excuse not to replace it.
My only complaint is about the built-in Klondike solitaire game. First, its very addictive, which (granted) is my problem. But it also comes with exactly one soundtrack of strip club music, at least as the movies depict such music. But worst of all, the game seems to have the devilish habit of presenting very badly shuffled cards. You cant convince me that a deal of three jacks and three sixes is random. Hands like this are impossible to beat, and the scoring system is a bit rudimentary, only counting cards placed on the aces, not those flip up on the columns. And color me paranoid, but the more you win, the easier the hands get. Make mistakes, and you get lousy hands.
Klondike aside, this is a terrific little machine. Buy 6! On: 2008-06-16
a great electronic has more on it than expected. very good picture and color. have absolutely no problems. love it! On: 2008-06-15
This is a well built product to be sure. However the menu is complicated and hard to understand. Using the unit and transfering music centers around downloading and using the software, I-tunes.
You would think it has an on and off button. You would think. (it doesnt, it just powers down automatically)This is more important than at first glance, due to the fact that the battery life is not outstanding.
As overpriced as this unit is you would also think it would have an FM receiver which it doesnt have either.
On: 2008-06-14
I am very happy with the ipod, its easy to work with, I love it! On: 2008-06-14
My brother bought me this iPod for my birthday to replace my old 1st Generation Nano and I love it! The display is bright and I like when the iPod goes idol it displays the time. The cover flow is really fun to look at. Great iPod! Plus it comes in a really cute color, pink! On: 2008-06-14
I love my new iPod!! Soooo easy to use, even for an electronically challenged person like myself. It syncs with iTunes & that was just as easy. Excellent quality here. Even the earbuds that came with it had better sound quality than 2 other headphone sets I have for mp3 players.
I did my research, Amazon.com had the best price! Product arrived in pristine condition thanks to the packaging used. Product also arrived when promised! On: 2008-06-13
I love my nano! I thought watching videos would be lame on the little screen, but its actually just fine. Pictures look good on the screen as well, not to mention the fact that my music sounds great. On: 2008-06-12
How can you go wrong with an Ipod. The product itself is totally excellent!!The only problem I had was the shipping.Regular shipping shouldnt take 6 business days and 2 weekends. Thats the only reason I didnt give it 5 stars. On: 2008-06-12
What can I say, this product rocks! Small, condensed and everything one could ask for in a iPod! I am going to buy one for all my kids and friends. That is when I hit the lotto"Apple iPod nano 8 GB Pink (3rd Generation) On: 2008-06-12
Overall a pretty good item, I bought it as a gift for my technology challenged mom. We did have a slight problem where the screen randomly went black and wouldnt function, we were able to go to the help website through apple and fixed the problem ourselves. On: 2008-06-12
iPods have never let me down. So far I have owned the 2nd Gen. Nano and now the 4 GB iPod Nano. This new, improved Nano is awesome. I really have no complaints about this little mp3 player at all. The interface is great and entertaining. The half-screen interface browses over album art while you are looking through the menus. The videos are very crisp and clear. Songs are extremely easy to transfer and sync to the iPod, it only takes a few seconds to transfer a whole album! The cover flow is a great feature, even though I hardly use it. It is a little slow, but it still is very great. The music quality is better than the 2nd Gen. Nano, but the earbuds still suck. Besides the earbuds quality, I would give this iPod 10 stars out of 10. I really recommend this iPod to anyone. On: 2008-06-11
For the size of this Ipod Nano, its a an absolute phenomena in technology. The screen is bright and clear and the software provided is stable and clean On: 2008-06-11
I bought this for my wife and it works perfectly. Received it in ample time and in perfect shape. On: 2008-06-10
Love it, love it, love it! The shuffle feature is awesome. Im always suprised by the songs that play, even though I loaded it! Hit the forward button to see whats next! The pre-loaded games are addictive and loads of fun. My only complaint is the lack of customization on the internal eq. On: 2008-06-10
Am excited about the ipod just the right size that i was loking for. It was sent to me in record time On: 2008-06-10
Ive owned 3 previous mp3 players and the iPod is by far the best Ive used. The wheel design is more ingenious than I first realized being that you can navigate easily without looking at it. The display is perfect, and the metal design feels nice in your hand. On: 2008-06-09
I bought this I-pod for my daughter for her birthday and she loves it. Great size and the graphics are wonderful. Nice upgrade from her last i-pod! On: 2008-06-09
I am very happy with the ipod nano. Its very small, light weight and holds a lot of songs. There are other features such as a calendar, photos, games, etc, but I mainly use it for the music. I wasnt eager to get an ipod when they first came out but I started to want one recently. Im glad I waited because I got a better version and for a more reasonable price. On: 2008-06-09
As always, the Apple interface is intuitive and easy to use. I love the cover flow view for browsing albums and Im amazed they can fit an amp thats powerful enough to drive my Ultimate Ears headphones. My only complaint is the "shuffle songs" feature doesnt shuffle very well. Multiple songs from the same album will play consecutively. But, this is a minor complaint. The overall player is outstanding! On: 2008-06-08
First of all, let me tell you all this little Ipod is amazing. The sound is good, it boasts podcasts (similar to radio shows), audiobooks, (Catch up on your reading!) videos, music videos, and TV shows. Thats alot.
It is quite good, but their are some downsides, as all products have.
Downloading movies is expensive, ($20) and is only smart to do if the movie costs more than $20 in movie stores. If you want to get a video, rent it, and if you really like it, buy it in real life. Downloading ANYTHING is really hard to figure out, even for a techie. It is smart to get help from an iPod experienced friend to teach you the basics.
The only other small thing is that scratches and fingerprint sumdges show up A LOT on the screen and back, being a shiny metallic grey.
Besides this, I love my iPod, and it makes quite a hit with teenagers, being a must have for any teenagers living in our generation.
Rock on. On: 2008-06-08
Bought my first, always have it with me. I use my own Shure ear phones since the ones that come with this arent that comfortable (my kids are fine with them, though).
LOVE the interface. Easy to use, crisp screen, great sound.
Bought the 4GB for my daughter within a week of buying this one.
Will buy another. On: 2008-06-08
If youre like me, who appreciates a WIDE variety of music that adds up 2 at least 7 gigs of memory and dont really care for video playback, then if so, this ipod was litterally contructed for you. it maintains the same slickness of its predecessors and builds upon that. the nano has always been a cheaper alternative for the music listener when it came to choosing between the gargantuan ipods with 80 gig HDDs. the best thing about this ipod is that it is almost indestructible. i cant tell you how many times my clumsiness has brought me stubling down to my ipod and yet it still operates like the day i bought it. i guess it must be internal flash memory. my only complaint is that the screen and the mirror behind it scratch too easily. On: 2008-06-08
I couldnt be more pleased with the Apple iPod nano. Great gadget at a great price. Highly recommend. On: 2008-06-07
Great little IPOD, only 4gb and smaller screen than an IPOD classic 80gb. Great, compact, and good to go right out of the box. Another great Apple product. IPODs forever! On: 2008-06-06
I bought the iPod nano 8GB about two months ago and Im really impressed of the way Apple managed to put so much technology in such a small piece of electronic device. Music searching cant be easier, the menu is very useful and the monitors resolution is faultless. The best mp3 player by far!! And it works so fine with nike+ shoes! Jogging was never that fun and performance calculation is very easy as iPod + nike+ provides information on the distance, the calories, the time and the speed of the workout. Perfect! On: 2008-06-06
I received this as a gift. The screen is small (bad font) and boring. The controls are hard to use and dont respond well (too sensitive or they dont move at all). I already have an extensive library of music and videos so I have no plans to buy from Apples itune store. It was not easy or fast to convert my windows music and videos into itune format. Many of my files wouldnt even convert. I had no trouble doing any of this on my iriver clix (no wonder it was stolen, the iriver also has a much better screen picture and user interface. Since I dont plan on spending a fortune at the itunes store, this mp3 player is not for me. On: 2008-06-06
In general I am happy with it. However, it locked up once during the 3 weeks I have been using it, and I had to reset by pushing a combination of buttons together for 6 seconds. On: 2008-06-05
My iPod died after 5 months use. Couldnt recharge the battery. iPod controls are not so easy to use, especially volume control. iTunes is horrible software: incredibly slow and the features are poor. Docking takes an incredibly long time.
Bought a Zune. Love the software, and the device works great. Volume control is particularly easy. Zune is what iPod and iTunes should have been. On: 2008-06-04
Great ipod. Great look, small but not too small. The battery length is great too as compared to the ipod mini On: 2008-06-03
Am happy with this iPod but this is my 4th iPod and previous ones all crashed suddenly. Not happy with reliability of iPods :) On: 2008-06-03
Great size, shape, price, color - my daughter lover her iPOD - easy and fun to use. On: 2008-06-02
Okay, Im not going to get into the specs or any real review of the product, I just wanted to say that this EXACT same product is available at the Apples official website for only $99, just go to the refurbished store. Thats what I did, and I thought Id spread the word and save some of you some money too. On: 2008-06-02
I am very happy to have this product. It is easy to use, light, and pretty. On: 2008-06-02
The music and video playback are great. Since it is supposed to sync all of the fields in my MacOS address book, I was hoping to ditch my old Palm for good. My phone syncs phone numbers and addresses, but not birthdays, 2nd addresses, notes, etc. Alas, the iPod apparently has a common problem with more than 500 addresses. It can only read a portion of them, depending on what mood its in. 8GB storage, 40kb address file. Whats the challenge apple? &n | | |
