Things I like about the Nav-Cam 7700:
-It is inexpensive.
-It runs Windows Mobile and so with a little bit of work can be set up to run other software.
-It comes with high quality home and car chargers
-It comes with a high quality windshield mount
-The SD slot and music player are useful, you can put MP3 files on the SD card and start the media player, then go into the navigation software. The headphone jack can then be fed to the cars sound system so that you can hear the music and the navigation software prompts over the car system. However, the speaker on the device is fairly powerful and decent quality.
-It has a jack for an external GPS antenna
Things I dont like:
-The power/charge LED on the front is way to bright for nighttime use, youll want to put some tape over it.
-The software was designed by monkeys, not much in the interface makes sense and simple tasks can be very difficult.
-You cant access the media player without leaving the navigation software, so you cant skip songs while navigating.
-It cannot do Text-to-Speech for road names, though it will say highway numbers.
-It isnt very good at exact street addresses, but it will put you on the right block most of the time.
-It has no provision for saving a track, it would have made a lot of sense to save track information to the SD card.
After I took a trip I left the Nav-Cam in the glove box of the car for a couple of weeks. Now it will not turn on, even with a hard reset. The screen just turns white (backlight turns on) and nothing else happens.
If you want to buy one, be sure you check the return policy first.

Pros: Gets the job done, mp3/photo slide show work is a plus.
Cons: Some areas arent listed eventhough they cliam the map is really latest. I had few addresses cant be found because they are new developments.
Car mount is really good and strong. I am very happy with voice prompts and 3d maps. POIs are satisfactory.
Few places in Bay Area arent showing up in maps in this GPS unit. So, I had to find the location in traditional means by Google maps. If you can buy Tomtom navigator software for PocketPC devices (costs arm and leg) and install it on this one (Nav-Cam 7700), it might worth a lot. I dont want to buy Tomtom software because it costs more than this unit.
Overall its a good unit for the price. I would recommend it to my friends.

This GPS receiver is a pretty good bargain. The included software is satisfactory. It does the job, but the interface isnt really intuitive... It takes some fooling around to figure out how to accomplish basic tasks. Thats the biggest weakness, though, and it can be completely negated by loading better software, for example, TomTom. After installing TomTom, as well as TCPMP, a media player for Windows CE, Im ecstatic! Now I can watch videos (TV shows or movies) while the navigation software runs in the background, and the voice prompts come through over the audio in the movie!
If youre good with computers, youll be able to make the modification pretty easily, by following instructions available on the web.
