I bought one of these for my wife and she loved it soo much she asked me to get one for her sister ... it was one of those buys that I was glad for, because on a resent trip having two really came in handy ...

I bought this to replace a previous Audiovox 7" DVD player where the screen went black after only 2 years time (what was I thinking!). The D1718 does not have the Audio/Video IN/OUT feature prominently promoted - still to this day - in the companys own online owners manual. The AV input is the only major feature that I needed on this - I wont even use the DVD player portion of it. After calling Audiovox, they were not willing to do anything to help me out, nor even make sure that their product specifications on their own corporate web sites owners manuals were accurate for their product. Buyer Beware - Audiovox doesnt care one bit about their customers and it seems that they also dont care one bit about the accuracy of their product specifications. Avoid Audiovox products like the plague, as youll never know what you are getting!

I own a Audiovox 7" from 5yrs ago, my kids love it, take it everywhere,but after all the abuses and throwing around, it finally broke down, still have sound but picture is gone. So it is time for new one, knowing how well Audiovox takes abuses from 2 young kids, we select the Audiovox again, for this great price. When we first receive the player, and we were not happy with the 2"by 1" of battery that is hanging at the back of this DVD is just ackward, our old one have the battery flat at the bottom of the DVD.None the less it is great price for the light wt, thinest durable portable around, we will learn to live with it.
