I was initially reluctant to purchase something over $50 over the internet. But I decided to give this a shot. I am glad that I did. The camera et al showed up in less time then I expected (I think two weeks). In addition, I was concerned that not purchasing from a camera store, how would extended warrentees and general questions be answered. Also what would I do if the shipmenet was short something?
Well first EVERYTHING that I ordered showed up. Second, in the paperwork was documentation from Ammityville Camera asking to call them with questions and stating that they sell extended warrentees. So all my questions were answered.
Now I am NOT a professional photogrpher. My camera use is purely recreational. The puctures I have taken so far are not less then stunning. Inside, ouside, close, far all good. I have used both the optical and digital zooms to get some great pictures. There are clearly more features on this cameral then I might ever use, but that is fine with me (I like gadgets).
One thing, IN the package I ordered, it included a 2 GB flash card. The card that comes with the camera only holds 3 pictures, so be prepared to get a larger flash right off the bat.
The software that came with this camera could not be more intuitive. Install the software, connect the camera via USB to the computer, hit one button and All pix are transferred to your hard disk. It could not get easier then that!
What can I say, I am happy and would definitely purchase through this method again and would recommend this to others.
